Hahah - all 3 of us posted together!

LG - Poor hubby, no wonder he was shattered. Yodel don't seem to do themselves any favours, do they. If I ran a business I don't think I'd trust my goods to their tender care. I hope your phone arrives today.

Nanto - glad you've got sunshine too. Hope you're enjoying it and relaxing.

Gem I hope all went well.I was thinking about you.Enjoy the film, you deserve it.
Libra I love it that Shiloh went back to his own bed
Talking about plans going awry. This morning was bright and sunny so when I got back from working I put out some washing, had lunch and started to pressure wash the patio.Within a matter of minutes the sky became overcast and the rain started. I dashed to get my washing in then tried to carry on with the patio but more water from falling from the sky than coming out of the washerSo half a job done which is rather annoying..
On the bright side I took delivery of a new bird table(delivered efficiently by Fed Ex).I decided to treat us to a decent one as an Anniversary present to us both as we both enjoy watching the birds.
This morning I watched a magpie picking large twigs off a tree and flying off with them for nest building. They were quite large twigs too!

You're forgiven though because you've been such a busy girl. We should know by now it's never 'just a lick of paint to freshen it up', but we fall into the same trap every time.

I think it's really hard to choose a colour scheme - we need to do the hall stairs and landing, and when the work is finished in the kitchen and dining room they will need painting as well. I sat with a huge shade chart last night going round in circles! I can see loads of tester pots will be needed chez Daisy.

Are you pleased with your kitchen and bathroom - what colours did you choose?
The one wall in the kitchen (which is technically only half a wall as the radiator takes up the bottom half ) is a soft truffle colour. I have ordered a vintage style clock to go on that wall and the rest of the walls are a very light cream. My kitchen isn't very big and it was a fairly dark green colour before. The lighter shades have made it seem more spacious and lighter.
The bathroom has gone from yellow!!!( yes I know, I think I was on some sort of medication when I first chose that colour. If I wasn't on medication, I obviously should have been ) to another cream colour, only this is a darker colour. I have brought some dark blue towels and I have ordered a pair of blue striped curtains. The stripes go from light blue to dark blue with the odd cream stripe between them . The only problem is I can't reach the window in the bathroom without putting a small step stool in the bath and then I have to climb into the bath to get on to the stool . It's a good job I am only in my very early 40s as I dread to think how I am going to manage when I am an old lady 😉😆😉

Got my new phone, I deliberately left the side gate open, and stuck a large post it on the front door saying Yodel, please ring door bell.

              Hi everyone.
All went well this morning and they said I managed well with the breath hold. 25 seconds each time. Star pupil
I feel so silly making a fuss beforehand, especially when people like Mr Oma go through so much with no complaint. I'm brave when it comes to things, but do get my wobbles beforehand! They told me as soon as I got there not to worry, that not everyone can do this, and that they use metal or something to protect your heart during treatment if you can't hold the breath. That made me feel better but I managed it anyway.

I had a lovely lunch with DD3 followed by the new Beauty and The Beast film. I loved it. Then we had a cuppa and SIL joined us for bit then I caught my bus home and they went off.
Thanks so much for all your kind understanding and support everyone. DD2 found out her best friend's mums cancer has returned and is terminal the day I was having my wobble, so I think that contributed to it.

OH has cooked, and we are going to eat and have nice quiet evening in front of the box

Gem - well done! Definitely deserve a gold star - and a sticker. xxx Sorry to hear about DD2's friend's mum though. That's a real downer.

Mimi - it all sounds lovely - nice choices of colour. I hope it doesn't make you feel worse about your yellow bathroom when I tell you we had a bright yellow bedroom until last year - it's now grey with curtains and headboard in black, grey, and bright orange on white background fabric.

Highlight of my day, will be looking round B&Q , hubby wants to check something out.
After that, we are going to a garden centre. They have got a newly refurbished cafe, so we said we will eat there,to see what it's like.

Welcome to April, All fools day. Hubby will probably catch me out with an April fool, he usually does.

                        Good morning ladies.
Gem, don't be so hard on yourself.I don't think you were being silly making a fuss, it's only natural you were feeling apprehensive about your treatment, I'm sure all of us would have felt the same. Well done on holding your breath , start pupil 😆
Daisy your bedroom colours sound lovely, I don't know about you but I don't want to look at the colour yellow for a long time !

Yellow is a colour we have never used for decorating. It's a colour i like to see in flowers, but thats all.

Good morning everyone. Welcome to April hopefully a springlike month!

Off to friends in our village for dinner tonight. Nothing much planned apart from that, but must go to the library for my mum before it closes at 12.30.

Lots of police activity around here last night. Helicopters flying low. When I checked on the FB group for our village I read about lots of police cars at the other end of the village (it's a large village) and a 14 year old girl missing I am happy to report that on FB this morning I read a local radio report that she was found safe and well at 1/30 am.

Mimi - when we moved into this house our bedroom, which is north facing, had horrible slightly shiny embossed wallpaper in a kind of mauve-ish colour that sucked whatever ever light came through the windows and made the room dark, miserable and cold looking, so the bright sunshine yellow was a reaction against that! What's your excuse? But your'e right, enough is enough and I can't see yellow coming back into the house any time soon.

Gem - that must have been an axious time for the girl's family - thank goodness she was found safe and sound. Enjoy your relaxing day and evening with friends.

Nanto - A visit to B&Q - how exciting! I know your OH is a DIYer like mine, does he also spend hours in the aisle that sells nails? I can understand spending ages on paint colours (except I do that bit, not him) and even on the macho man power tools, ..... but nails? At least we can escape to the gardening section if it all gets too exciting. Perhaps you can 'catch' him with a joke in B&Q while he's concentrating on what he's checking!
