Good morning, Nanto and everyone. I hope you have a nice time at Mum and Dad's today. I bet Mum and Dad are looking forward to it.

Plant - you are still ahead with your crocheting - I couldn't even cast on (if that's the right term)

When I got up it was raining, now the sun's shining and it feels really warm through the south-facing windows and the sky is clearing. We were hoping to do some jobs on the allotment today, but it's still too wet, but hopefully I can do some gardening if it dries out a bit. OH is still suffering from man 'flu so needs careful nursing, so I don't think I can persuade him digging weeds out will make him feel much, much better!

      Good morning everyone.
      It's dull and dark here!

Poor OH Daisy! These things hang on. I haven't spoken to DD1 today to hear how she is feeling. I know she is due a long London work day tomorrow. Having suffered with tonsilitis a lot myself I doubt she will feell well enough.

It's my sisters birthday tomorrow, but we are going to see her today as I will be busy with GS1 tomorrow. I will collect mum this afternoon and we will take my sister's presents and cakes. Cakes plural, as one for her to share with the other residents and staff tomorrow, and a small one for us to share with her this afternoon!

Busy bee Oma! All I have done is a washload of towels so far, unless, you count eating breakfast as task accomplished

My sister will be 58 tomorrow Oma. Soon she will be moving house (I will update about that on the relevant thread soon) and we are going to that house today. She has been lots of times and apparently settles well,, but we all feel it will help mum to see her there, so they will bring here there before we get there today.

            Good morning all.
Oma you have been busy, a good nights sleep makes all the difference doesn't it ? I have had a terrible night , I must have got up at least 4 times to go to the 'little girls room' . It's getting silly now In the end at about 6ish I gave up, had a shower got breakfast and then put my yoga kit in the wash which is now outside blowing nicely in the wind . Apart from that I haven't done much, too flipping tired if truth be told.
Daisy how is your OH ?

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I have just spent about three hours writing about my exquisite kitchen experience for the Ombudsman and reading it through after having left it for a while has made me right mad!! I still haven't finished it as I tend to write, print, amend on paper, amend on computer, print again etc. so it will be perfect when submitting. Other than that I have done and hour or so of work-work, two loads of washing, plus dishwasher loaded and on, had a bubbly bath and washed my hair, wrapped eldest son's birthday present (43 this year!!), ordered husband's replacement RHS card (his original was in the wallet that went AWOL), checked the bank accounts. I should have made the casserole for tomorrow's dinner but I can do that tomorrow as I am working at home and will have time to nip in the kitchen and sort it out.

I think Oma and Zizi take the prizes for the busiest bees today. You must both be exhausted by now!

OH is still feeling very washed out, no energy, and a 60-a-day cough, but the doctor said it could take ages to improve!

I can't compete with Oma's and Zizi's work rate, but I have done some housework today, and 4 loads of washing. It seemed to take most of the day, but it's been raining on and off, so gardening wasn't on the agenda! Then late afternoon DS2 phone, very apologetic, but they had forgotten GD1 has an Inset Day tomorrow. I usually pick GD2 up from playgroup at 12, but I've said I'll go over about 10. They will take GD1 into work with them for an hour or so, then I'll take her shopping (there's a wonderful, traditional toyshop in their town) and then for an ice cream. It's not often we get the chance to do something, just the 2 of us.

Gem - I do hope your sister enjoyed the first of her two birthday celebrations today. I'm sure your Mum will feel much better for visiting her new home.

Mimi - I do hope you sleep better tonight. xx

Pouring with rain here, so no walk this morning. We have DDs springer here later so he will love the rain, lots of towels at the ready.

Gem, i your sister had a good day and the visit to her new home went well.

Daisy, your poor OH, these horrible coughs are everywhere, hope he starts to feel better soon. When I went to the docs for my bp check the first thing he asked me was if I had succumbed to this horrible cough, I think he was quite relieved when I said no, at least he didn't have to try to make that better.

Hope everyone has a good day, and any poorly people feel better x

Good morning everyone. It's tipping it down here today. When I was a child I used to wonder why rain came down in drops and what would happen if it came down in solid bucketsful - well, I think I'm about to find out!!!

Gem - happy birthday to your sister.

Oma - I hope the hospital appointment goes smoothly.

Enfy - Springers - rain - puddles - mud = happy dog! I'm glad you've escaped the cough from hell. I've got it too but nowhere near as bad as OH.

Mimi - I hope you got to sleep eventually.

If this rain continues, I think GD1 and I will be making a quick dash from one shop to another instead of enjoying a leisurely wander round.

Enjoy your time alone withvGD1 Daisy

GS1 day. I am looking after him at his house. I don't pick him up unil 11.45 from preschool. I usually leave here at 11 to allow plenty of time for the 30 minute journey. At the moment there is another phase of roadworks on the new roundabout being built on the route. There have been long delays, so I will leave at 10 and risk getting to DDs early.

                                Good morning all.
Daisy have a lovely day with GD .
Oma , how did the hospital visit go ?
Gem I always think it's an added bonus if you are able to look after GC in their own home. You get all the fun and no mess in your own home . Result!
                                Happy Birthday Gem's sister.

It's pouring with rain here and I'm hoping it will clear as I've planned to take a walk to the vets and pick up our cat's flea treatment. I know I can hear you all saying...."Mimi, she doesn't care does she, it's all spend, spend ,spend with her "
