Can someone tell me where 'Whistling Jack Smith' comes into anything? It's had me in stitches.

He whistled I was Kaiser Bills Batman didn't he?!

Lovely afternoon with DD2 baby GS and 2 of our friends, who love babies (one of who is the lady who did the scan and told us he was a boy!) all here. We palmed off quite a bit of Christmas cake onto them while they were here

I went to the link Gem & I was in stitches. I'd forgotten all about him. I just couldn't figure out how he came into the conversation. Passing on Christmas cake after Christmas is always a good idea if you're watching your waistlines. Hee.

Nana - glad you enjoyed Whistling JS!!! It was Mimi who mentioned him, saying the wind whistling round their house last night reminded her of WJS!!! (Post no 1871)

Mimi - it's a very bonny lavender plant - I've never seen one grown like a standard before. I'd be protective of it too until it's properly established in a permanent home.

Gem what a lovely afternoon, with the added bonus of them being friends who like Christmas cake as well as babies. Oh dear! That sounds as though they might eat both cake and babe! Not what I meant at all.

Morning Ladies, DS has taking GD too school, quite pleased about that as it is cold here, least the wind has calmed down, I have promised myself today I am going to gut this house and get it back to normal its, quite untidy to say the least, don't think I have enough storage that's the problem, plus I don't seem to want to throw anything out....

Hope all hospital appointments go well today, and hope you have had a lovely holiday Nanto

Good morning everyone. Nanto - I hope you have a comfortable flight home with this wind.

Oma - at lest this afternoon you will have time to sit and put your feet up (no housework - give yourself a rest)

Gem - thinking about you. Hope all is well. xx

Pearl - I know the feeling - I need to have a good sort out in virtually every room in the house. I'm not a hoarder, but I live with one and careful negotiations are needed before I re-organise or 'edit' anything, and his wardrobe is totally out of bounds (unless I'm putting a neatly ironed shirt onto the overcrowded rail!)

I'm out for lunch today - meeting up with a lot of ex-colleagues from college.

Will be thinking of you Gemini

Quiet day for me planned, very busy one yesterday, went to hospital to pick up my new tablets, onto JL to return a handbag which had split the stitches, the queue was very long with people returning what looked like Christmas Presents. I found another bag in the sale, had lunch there and called into WR on the way home. I might pop and get my car cleaned today.

Plant - can you pop my car into the car wash as well? It's hard to tell what colour it is at the moment.

Plant if you are popping round to clean Daisy's car can you possibly pop by after that and give my kitchen and bathroom floor a quick clean. Thanks Oh and I do have a spot of ironing you could do also seeing as you would be here
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi we know when people last logged on and I have seen Zizi here few times. I too have noticed that she's not posting atm, don't know why, but I'm sure she will do in time!

We had the appointment and then went for a hot chocolate at our favourite café in the village. I will write about it on the other thread.
