Sorry I've not given GRU my full attention.I pop in to put a little post on or just read what you're all doing. I'm trying to hurry to get my Christmas stuff in order as a short notice appointment has come up for my second cataract replacement op ...next Thursday. Great I told the sec...get it over & done with.
On top of this my DD's partner's father has just had a massive stroke. He's made the 48hr danger zone so it's looking hopeful. Strokes aren't good but it seems that he's had the worst type, deep down within his brain.
On top of this my OH has pulled/torn a ligament in his knee. After A&E Thursday he's got an appointment to see the specialist on Wednesday morning.
I can do this! Oma is my role model.😉

Nana, a lot going on for you.Hope your op goes well, and OH knee problem gets sorted quickly.
Sorry to hear about DD's partners father.

Well i slept from about 11'0clock till 4.30, so very pleased with that. Must have been the thought of Daisy singing me a lullaby.
Got some shopping to do, want it all done today, as we won't be going into town on Christmas eve.

Morning ladies , we were both in bed by 10 last night B still driving the bulls home , it was his snoring that woke me or I would still be there too , got to go back to Hospital this morning , hospital rang yesterday didn't we just go and forget to pick the new tablets up 😲😲☺ we were to eager to get out of there and even talking about it to DD never twigged we hadn't actually got the tablets .
Hope everyone who isn't feeling good has a better day , knees are tricky things once they go wrong they make sure you know about it Nana 😊 hubby will be hobbling for a while I bet xxx

Good morning Nanto, Oma and everyone else.

Nana - It never rains .... etc.... does it! It will be great to get your cataract op over, so worth all the disruption now. I do hope OH's knee gets better quickly - it sounds very painful. Best wishes to your DD's partner's father. I hope he makes a good recovery.

Nanto - well done on a good night's sleep. I'll be round again tonight to lull you into the land of Nod!

Oma - I'm glad B is sleeping so well, although I bet you wish he'd turn the volume down a bit. Where did you put your earplugs?

Early start for me, trying to catch up with things I've neglected, plus making up beds for the GSs who are having a sleepover tonight. I still don't know whether the GDs will be here as well, or what time the boys will arrive. Or when they'll be going home tomorrow. So I don't know how many I'll be feeding over the week-end! OH is going to brave the supermarket this morning (lovely man) with a huge list, just in case.

                Good morning everyone.

Nana, what a lot is going on for you. Good luck with the cataract op. My knee problem has flared up again this week, your OH has my every sympathy!
Glad to hear you both slept well Oma, despite the snoring!
I'm glad that you had a better night too Nan2.

It is a bright sunny morning here.
Daisy, it seems we both have GC sleepovers this weekend GD and baby GS are coming for a sleepover tonight. Baby will be in the cot in the spare room, where GD or GS1 normally sleep in the double bed. As they may disturb each other it has been decided that GD will sleep on the sofabed in the 3rd bedroom, my therapy room. No problem usually, but with both spare rooms in use, where do we put the Christmas presents and box of wrapping paper?! Smaller things I can put in drawers or cupboards, but the GCs presents will have to go up into the loft!

Good afternoon ladies, glad to hear Brian is getting plenty of rest, even if the snoring wakes you up. Do try and catch up on some sleep Oma. Good luck for your cataract op Nana abd I hope your OH gets some relief from his pain. No sleepovers here for which I'm grateful as our 2nd bedroom is full of stuff and after Christmas will be stripped and decorated plus re carpeted. I am determined to get some more wrapping done today, after I have scrubbed the kitchen floor. A quick trip to home base as they have reduced some Christmas decs I really fancy. Enjoy your sleepovers Grandmas.

Libra, I must do some wrapping tomorrow, after the GC have gone!!

                    Looking forward to my sleepover
Both bedrooms are ready and any presents which mustn't be seen safely hidden away. Pizza delivery ordered for 6.30 for Strictly final. Baby goes to bed at 7.15, but as I only half watch it I will happily settle him whilst GD and OH, both fans, relax and enjoy

So pleased to hear Brian is doing well, Oma, and that you slept better.

had a lovely morning with my Family History group enjoying Christmassy nibbles and lots of chat. Feeling tired now, must be all the chat so am relaxing with my crochet.

We had a nice surprise yesterday, our lovely new neighbours (relatively new) have invited us to their New Years Eve "do", a hog roast and fireworks. So nice of them and good that we don't have far to go . I'm sure we'll be able to stagger home!

Got my lovely bargains in homebase, I shall go again after Christmas as they always reduce them even further. I got rid of all my hanging decs a while ago, so wanted some free standing ones. Got 2 lovely santas and 2 snowmen wearing scarves. I want the Mother and baby polar bears but hopefully they will still have a few after Christmas. Love a bargain.

Gem - my sleepover is probably easier than yours with the boys being older. I've missed Strictly though as we were quite late having dinner. Never mind, I can watch it on catch up tomorrow after the boys have gone home. I've had the same problem with hiding things - and they are both very observant. So far, so good, but I'm not holding my breath.

GS1 came in to the kitchen to chat while I was cooking dinner - and told me more about electrical circuits, capacitors, resistors and other stuff than I ever knew! Lucky me.

Daisy, that's lovely your GS came for a "chat" It's like a lecture though isn't it as you don't have an awful lot of input besides the odd "Oh really?" or. "I didn't know that"
I've been wondering how GS1 is getting on at his new school?

Gem and Daisy I hope your sleepovers etc. go well with the added excitement of next weekend thrown into the mix
