Good morning all.
What a wonderful day. I awoke to learn that lovely Mr Oma is Home
Busy day for you yesterday Daisy, I bet you were ready for your bed!
We had a very nice meal out with our friends last night, then went back to theirs for coffee. It was midnight when we got home!!
This morning OH and I are going to buy the New Years Eve fireworks. We usually buy 2 or 3 big ones. All over in a couple of minutes, but it's fun. We go to a fireworks company on an industrial estate a few miles away.
Usual Thursday shopping and stuff with my mum after lunch. I may stay with her late than usual, as I have to tell her my news today.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem I hop your Mum isn't too upset with your news though obviously it will be a shock for her but you can tell her the treatment plan and hopefully reassure her a bit.
Daisy your feet didn't touch the ground yesterday. No wonder you were shattered.
I had my hair cut yesterday and the hairdresser was surprised it had grown so much in 6 weeks. No wonder it was driving me mad.!
Plant I hope the gardener has turned up by now. It's a good day here for gardening but I won't be doing any. We are going out for Christmas lunch as a treat for the two of us.

Good afternoon ladies.
Bit of a miserable day weatherwise.
When i got home from parents we spent an hour putting stuff up in the loft.Stuff hubby said we need to keep.
Had something to eat, then spent the best part of an hour delivering cards for parents. We were going to walk, but ended up going in the car.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

It's dull and rather chilly here today.
Gem - I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday, and will be thinking about you telling your mum your news this afternoon. I'm sure she will appreciate it if you stay a little longer if she's upset.
Nanto - I think lofts should be abolished. Ours is full of junk! We usually end up delivering local cards by car rather than on foot!
Clover - I think my hair must have been quite long, too. It's certainly a lot shorter today!
Plant I hope your gardener turned up.
Plant and Oma, I'm not sure whether having a smarty-pants dog is good or not. And if she's so smart how come she can learn things like jumping hurdles but can't work out when a strange dog doesn't want to play with her! I don't think she's got any border collie in her, but she does seem to enjoy 'working'.
Looking forward to OH's wood turning club's Christmas party tonight - I've just got to add cream to the sherry trifle. I've even made a little pyrography label for it. I'm sure the experts in the club will be able to tell me where I need to improve my technique!

Thank you everyone for your concern and support.
My mum took the news very well, calm and not tearful. She was reassured by the size of the tumour and treatment plan, and the fact that I m obviously fine and just getting on with life. I told her a few encouraging stories about friends who had the same op years ago. She was thankful I told her and didn't leave her in the dark, so I did the right thing. My DDs will be there for her if she needs to talk it over at all.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
