Just getting sorted to trot off to Birmingham. In a quandary as Piccadilly line from Heathrow to London has severe delays and the overland train also has severe delays mmmm which one to take a chance on? Although it only takes 50 minutes from whichever station I go from there is also the delays to the buses because of the fog and it isn't even that thick! I will not drive and leave my car in station car parks overnight as it leaves it open to being broken in to.

I shall be staying in the premier inn by the station. Meeting is from 10 until 2 tomorrow deep joy.

A lovely mild day here not a touch of frost, thoroughly enjoyed my walk with Shiloh.I can forget all my cares when I'm walking across the heath.A tad concerned as rumour has it they are going to have free roaming long horned cattle over there. There has been lots of forestry work going on. Shiloh ignores the cows and horses, but they are behind barbed wire fencing. All the dog walkers are not happy and we wonder how that will impact on us. I don't know about the dog, I think I will be nervous about coming across a cow out of the blue. Good luck today Gem for your appointment, Oma hope Brian is finally managing to eat. For all those with frosty weather, keep warm and safe. We had our arctic conditions last week.

Hi again, thanks everyone for your good wishes. I have started a new thread to update you on YEO.

My friend, the one who did baby GS's scan, has a day off work today, so asked me for coffee after the hospital. She knew OH would be out most of the day, and rightly guessed that I could use a little company. She had her Christmas tree and decorations up, it was lovely. We need ours up now!

Good to hear Brian seems to be on the up. I am in the train going to Birmingham. Was early because when I got to the Piccadilly line the tube worker told me thatthe trains are running ok just not as many of them which to be honest dies not impact at lunchtime but may do tomorrow evening when I am trying to get home. As I was so early I asked if I could get an earlier train ut it is pre booked (therefore cheaper) so couldn't and consequently had 45 minutes wait. Well I hadto treat myself to a glass of wine didn't I? I will not, however, be don gthat again especially not atGino de Campinelli's restaurant. A glass of wine, large they said, my brain says it was not, cost nine flipping quid! Good grief I would pay £9 for a half decent bottle of wine from a supermarket or even my wine club but for a Splash in the bottom of a large glass - ah maybe I have hit the nail on the head, it wasn't the wine that was large it was the glass, costs more to wash up 😆

Countryside is very foggy not sure where I am at the moment but there is not a lot to be seen except white haze. My colleague I was going to be travelling with missed the train, he is a twit, he missed the train coming back from Birmingham last time as well as he forgot to retrieve his ticket from the self service machine until we were due to leave. Oh we are now approaching Leighton Buzzard apparently.

Not looking forward to spending the night on my own but might mooch around the shops a little bit.........

Oma I'm so pleased they've found a drug to help Brian's sickness and he'll be able to feel more like eating. The blood transfusion will give him a boost too.

Zizi a mooch round the shops sounds like a good idea.

As LG said, it's been warmer here today. My long day of the week with GD2. I had a terrible journey across the Forest with all the fog, but as I got to within a couple of miles of GD's it cleared. We had a lazy start, then took their dog out for walkies. GD is getting quite independent now and amused herself very well 'racing' up and down the green. Each time she grinned and said 'I won!' Bless her. I did 4 loads of washing for DIL and hoovered while GD had her nap. GD1 came home very pleased with herself as she had got on the Sparkly Starfish chart (the school's reward system) again.

Oma - I'm so pleased B is able to eat now. I hope his kidneys settle down quickly, and I'm sure the blood transfusion will make him feel stronger as well. Give him a big hug for me, please. xx

Nana - poor you. I do hope tomorrow is better.

Zizi - I should think there's plenty of temptation in all those shops! Crikey - £9 for a glass of wine.

LG - ever since we've lived in the Forest I've trained our dogs not to chase the livestock and I think Shiloh will learn to leave them alone. It helps that they're (the cattle) are used to people, animals etc so they tend to take no notice. A rescue border collie was the hardest, but even he learned he couldn't round them up. But I think I might have met my Waterloo with Eva. She's not interested in horses, cattle or deer, but until I can trust her to leave other dogs alone we can't let her off the lead.

Gem - get your tree and decorations up - it will cheer you up I'm sure. xxx

Good morning. Wet and mild this morning, at least the fog has gone.
Baby GS today, then GD from school. It seems ages since I saw them as I couldn't fit them in last week, due to our London trip. Nana, I hope today is a better one for you.

                                Good morning all.

Oma, its good to hear that B is eating now.
Nana I hope your day is an improvement on yesterday.
Zizi £9 for a boy of wine ! They are having a laugh!

I have just ordered a water pistol from eBay. No it's not a Christmas present and I'm not shopping early for summer.....it's to shoot at the darn cat that keeps trying to get into my kitchen. It's scaring my cat so much she refuses to go out and do her business outside as OH discovered this morning when he walked into the spare room ( This is where I would post a pic of someone pulling a yucky face but iPad won't copy and paste so you will have to use your imagination)
