Hello everyone. Just back from visiting DD and family. So lovely to see GC again.
I hope any one under the weather feels better soon. Did just see about Qwerty's friend. So sad.
Hospital visit for me today. Some changes in blood but nothing significant. Again on "watch and wait" regime. Good news I suppose. I manage to keep it at the back of my mind generally but blood tests and hospital visits churn it all up again.
With the clock change I still feel it's later than it really is.
Must get busy catching up on here as well as the small matter of finishing unpacking, washing, ironing.tidying up and having to plan meals and cook again etc. etc..

Good to see you back Clover, hope hospital visit goes okay. I finally got into see the eye Doctor after a 3/4 hr delay, was in there all of 10 minutes, stingy eye drops and all looks well. Do have to go for the final time in 6 months then they will discharge me-hooray. Just had a text from my eldest DD with a picture showing the destruction of her kitchen, I text her back and said do you know you have a big hole where your ceiling should be, yes Mother and a few walls missing too It will take 2 weeks to complete all the work, in this house there is/was a kitchen with dining area leading into utility and another small kitchen & cloakroom. The whole lot is being ripped out and replaced by a huge kitchen diner with island, and a new utility room. The hole in the ceiling is becuase she is having 2 velux windows installed to give more light. Rather her than me bless her, but exciting to see the place being transformed.

Welcome back Clover, I'm glad you had a lovely time with your family.
I understand about keeping things at the back of your mind until check up times. Long may you stay on Watch and Wait xx

I went to see Girl on The Train at the cinema, which I enjoyed. I treated myself to a premium seat and some popcorn ( I took my own bottle of water, though. I'm not paying over £2 for one!)

The traffic was really bad coming back from my client tonight. It's only 4 miles, but I come back from town at the same time as all the workers!

Edited: thats strange, when I first saw your post Gem, it was all gobbledygook, just lots of letters. I wonder what happened there?

Clover - yes, 'watch and wait' is good news. It's hard not to worry at check up times, though. xx

LG - I hope you're feeling better, and good news from the hospital. Your DD will be glad when the new kitchen is finished! Two weeks isn't bad for all that work though. We're thinking of having a couple of Velux windows in our dining room and kitchen, but so far the estimates have been horrendously expensive!

Gem - I'm glad you enjoyed your 'Me Day'.

It's been a long day for me - usual Tuesday early start to look after GDs. GD2 is doing really well with potty training - 100% success today. She's very proud of herself.

It's so sad to hear how poorly Qwerty's friend is. If you're reading this Qwerty - lots of love and a big hug.

A much needed trip to the hairdressers for me tomorrow. Then a quick dash home and off to dog training.

I'm not enjoying the darker evenings at all. I'm sure I feel more tired at night.

Libra that's good news about your eyes.
                  Welcome home Clover.
Gem have read the book The Girl on the Train which I enjoyed. OH doesn't fancy seeing it at the cinema so I will have to wait till it comes on Sky.

My heart is beating so fast and I'm all of a tremor whilst typing this. OH and myself were tucked up in bed when there is a loud noise that can only be described as finger nails being scratched on a piece of glass. Well we were both startled to say the least. We very bravely went into each room searching for the source of the noise. We couldn't find a thing, we made sure the doors and windows were firmly locked and all plugs were turned off. After a while OH pointed out that a glass that had been left draining in the dish drainer was lying across a tea plate . We think that was the cause of the noise...........

But what made it fall .........

                  Don't have nightmares anyone.......

So glad this didn't happen yesterday evening........

                  Good night everyone.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi I have solid wood work tops and grooves cut out for the draining board sometimes glasses float and move on there own , it spooked me at first till I realised as the worktops are oiled it causes like a air pocket between the glass and water so when the water moves down the drainer so do the glasses 😊
Shopping this morning and pick Dog up , lovely day but a tad windy so far

                        Good morning everyone.
Mimi, thank goodness that didn't happen at Halloween
Oma, as you are having the granddog, you will have the perfect excuse for housework when he's gone home

Frosty here this morning, OH will need her warm stuff on the golf course I think!

GC day for me. Baby all day then GD from school. Baby has had a cold for a few days and been sick. Dr says nothing to worry about as long as he's drinking and having wet nappies. I hope he's on the mend today.

                        Keep warm everyone!

                          Good morning everyone.

It's a chilly misty autumnal morning here but hopefully the sun will burn the mist off before I have to go out.

Mimi - you were both very brave. How can one glass and one plate make so much noise.

Clover - I meant to add 'Welcome home' yesterday. As usual my Tuesday evening brain was fried!

Enfys - I think Gem's tablet has invented a new language. She mentioned a few days ago that it was producing gobbledegook. We haven't worked out why, yet.

Gem - I hope GS2 is feeling better and has lots of those gorgeous smiles for his Granny.

Amazing how quickly the mist has gone.

A decidedly chilly morning today, back to school run today. I have the kitchenless family coming for lunch on Saturday and the following weekend I have the youngest 2 for the weekend. DD and SIL off to Devon to view some properties, I will have to ferry girls to ballet class as they cannot miss it they are both in the dance school production at the Lighthouse in January. I seem busier now than when I worked Oma hope your sticking to your new regime, keep warm ladies if your going out today.
