Had a busy day with the grandsons today, now time for a quick rest before a bath and out to the pub for dinner. Off to Portugal on Sunday for three weeks so busy few days ahead. Cleaning house, getting nails done and stuffing some bits in a cabin bag.... I will pop in from time to time to see what you are all doing.

Late checking in today. Been busy starting to get my head round things for our cruise in a couple of weeks.
Also just finished dealing with all bedding and towels(so many towels!) after the family 's visit at the weekend.
Oh yes spent just over an hour picking 2 and half pounds of blackberries from the hedges round the field behind us.

I have had a super day with my youngest 2 pink ones, took them to the beach. The weather was lovely not too hot for them. Tomorrow is a free day before working the weekend.

Zizi - I can sympathise. The trouble is you are efficient and always get everything done, and sometimes people (including OHs) don't always realise that you achieve all this at a cost - to yourself! You definitely can't work with the children there! I was going to say you're 'Wonder Women', but I don't want you to think I'm taking the Michael, because I've been there as well and I know how b****y hard it is. Tomorrow is definitely a day for the GCs to sit on the stairs playing You Tube videos! xx

Daisy my mum and dad knew OHs mum and dad also I went to school with OHs sister but strangely we didn't really have any to do with each other until I had left school .
Nan2 I hope you are still standing in the corner.
Zizi, have you forgiven OH yet ?

We had a lovely day today. We arrived at DSs new flat, after a cuppa we went for a walk and relived some memories which included having to sample some fish and chips from the chip shop we would have brought fish and chips from when we were children.
Then we strolled over to see younger DS and DIL who live just 7mins walk from DSs flat. There we spent the afternoon in the garden in the glorious sunshine drinking coffee, putting the world to rights and dare I say it discussing Christmas . ( I will now go and stand in the corner with Nan2)
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Because of an issue that has come to light we had to change the sleeping arrangements last night and I slept on the sofa, Joe and Ben in the bunk beds and Sadie in our bed with husband. He has gone off to work and I am curled up on the sofa wrapped in the princess duvet. All children still sound asleep, sitting room looks like a tip but I don't want to start moving around too much and wake them up. It it is very dark and fresh this morning all the windows are open but there is only a little bit of noise from the road, planes must be taking off in the other direction as haven't heard one yet.

Just got a valuation on our maisonette and we are shocked at the value but pleased at the same time. The house over the road has just been put up for sale and although it is three bedrooms it is not much more than our own property but they have the tiniest garden, well a yard really, and no garage also the bathroom is downstairs which is not popular around here. It has been a house of multiple occupation for a few years and it has been interesting watching the various comings and goings. First three years it was an Eastern European "welcome" house so the population changed constantly but in the last year or so it has been home to so many Asians of varying ages that we really are not sure how many people live there at the moment!

Mimi that sounds like a nice day. Zizi I hope the sofa hasn't given you back ache. Unlike you I have fed the cat loudly, emptied the dishwasher loudly, put out the bins loudly, made a very loud cup of tea and still he slumbers on. 🙄 So much to do, so little time.

Hope Mimi and myself are allowed out of the corner.
Hardly had any sleep, don't know why, just one of those nights I suppose.
Drizzling a bit this morning, and feeling cool.

Zizi, are you thinking of moving?
Mimi, that does sound a lovely day and imho, not at all a bad time to discusd the C word with your family
LOL, GM, that was a loud start to the day!

It is cool here with some showers forecast. However some very nice sunny weather is due next week
My reflexologist is coming at 2. Not sure what else I will do today.

Good morning all . A bit overs act here so far this morning. I have a busy day as we have friends coming round later for a meal so a tidy up is on the cards! Hope to get out into the garden at some point too and it would be nice if we could sit out there with a glass or two of something cold

have ve a good day everyone.

Morning ladies dull but stuffy , I didn't sleep well last night so I went to town with downstairs cleaned everything and there was only the hoovering and floor washing this morning , I don't think Hubby would have been pleased if I had the hoover out at 4 am some how 😀 I did upstairs yesterday well there is only two bedrooms and a bathroom up there , so apart from hoovering the stairs now I have a free day no child or dog DD taken day off , had to put washing in tumble as it's not looking good out , even as I type it's coming in black ,
Oh Gem I could do with some reflexology at the minute , enjoy it all ,
Zizi it will never be dull with a house like that opposite a new face every day 😊
Grauntie my grandson sleeps like that and when my DS was at home I have even hoovered his room while he was in bed and he's slept through it , I only have to breath the wrong way and hubby hears he's a very light sleeper . Have a good day ladies xxx

Gem no we are not thinking of moving it was purely an exercise because we are consolidating husband's pensions (he has five) and the financial advisor said that we should get a valuation especially as we now have a share of the freehold and have done a lot of work in the flat in the last eight months or so, we also need to make new wills as the ones we have at the moment are from before we moved here sixteen years ago.

I am making no pretence of working this morning, it is impossible to concentrate with three zombies roaring around the place trying to decapitate each other with pillows and rolling around inside their duvets on the sitting room floor screeching their heads off! It has taken me twenty minutes to get them all washed, teeth cleaned, dressed as they were all nominating each other to go first so I put the numbers 1 2 3 on folded paper and made them choose, this apparently was not fair but grandma's rules applied.

Grauntie my sofa is quite big and I am quite short and anyway I tend to sleep rather upright as I have difficulty breathing if I am flat. Husband said he would sleep on sofa but he is a lot taller than me and he does suffer with a bad back (had a couple of ops years ago) and as he is working it seemed sensible for me to sleep in the sitting room.

Afternoon all, had our kitchen delivered yesterday at 7am.....got a time slot of 7am-6pm first time ever we have been first drop off, nearly fell over myself throwing clothes on off the bedroom floor when i saw the van pull up

Rang kitchen fitter as he said if it came early he would start the same day, well he was busy so said he would call today first thing, well 1.30pm and he has just rang he is held up on a job and should be here soon...so the fun begins..........

Cannot believe the GC are back to school next week, K starts middle school so is quite excited, and G starts school nursery, uniform and all, i'm sure he will look smart and keep his teachers on their toes....
