Nanto - I thought it was quite mild until I spent 20 minutes coaxing Eva out into the garden for essential morning jobs. I don't know what scared her but I must have looked a right idiot in my furry dressing gown, bed socks and crocs standing in the middle of the lawn!!

Gem - I agree about the washing. I put wet bedding out and took wet bedding back in 3 hours later.

Dog training for us this afternoon, then we've got someone coming round to give us a quote for velux windows in the kitchen and dining room. They're in a single storey extension at the back of the house and north facing, and in the winter the rooms seem dark and cold. With skylights we'd get morning and evening sun as well, but we think it's probably going to be horrendously expensive!

Good morning ladies.
I am hoping that I' m not like Gem today, I have put my bedding out to dry and I'm hopeful that it will be dry later today...... What's the chances of that happening?
Talking of bedding apart from duvet covers and pillow cases I only have white bed sheets. I do have one blue valance that matches a duvet but all my sheets are white.
When we were first married I had lots of sheets in lots of colours but over the years they have been replaced by plain white I don't actually recall making an actual choice of keeping to one colour, it sort of crept up on me !
I haven't got a lot planned today as I'm expecting a parcel to arrive so I dare not leave home till (if) it arrives.

Mimi I used too have lots of coloured bedding now all mine are cream it just seemed to have gradually gone that way 😊

I have various coloured sheets, to match the duvet covers. I have quite a few duvet covers, it was a passion of mine to buy them,
and they are all reversible.

Been chatting with Qwerty she's doing ok just had results of Diabetes test and she's clear , spending time between the children and her friend who has terminal Cancer so a stressful time for her xxx

Glad you have spoken to her Oma. I seem to have the blues atm. I think it's just a combination of being unwell a couple of times recently, and just feeling I have no time for me. I love my GC to bits, and I love my mum of course. Sometimes I do feel that all I ever do is look after one or the other. I need a break, you don't get holidays from these sort of 'jobs' do you?! I am hoping we may get a night away on Sunday. Even one night can recharge your batteries, can't it?

Gem I know how you feel and no you don't get a break , a night away is lovely someone else to cook for you clear up after you even a simple thing like not having to make your bed is a great treat you will really enjoy a night away , big hugs xxxx

Gem - I couldn't agree more - sometimes it just feels like the same old same old - even though you love them all to bits.

A night away is good for the soul. Our night out and overnight in a hotel last Saturday was wonderful - especially the breakfast the next morning! Even though I am tired after the 2 days with the GDs I don't feel as worn out as I usually do!

My mum is going to see her oldest friend today. I will drop her off, do mums shopping then go back for mum, and take her home.
Our friends who make cider are calling round this morning for some of our apples. Hopefully they will stay for coffee.

Morning ladies, life has been hectic this week so I am going to have a calm, quiet day (fingers crossed) , the show at the Hilton was very good and we met the 2 celebs after for a pic. For a posh hotel they had no bacardi I ask you. Settled for a g&t and my friend wanted a coke £8.50 golly couldn't afford to get drunk there. Have a good day ladies, Plant hope your improving.
