    Good morning all.
We had an inpromptu meal out last night, just the two of us, which was nice.
This afternoon we are seeing one of the event cinema screenings. Miss Saigon. Neither of us has seen the show, so this will be a good way of seeing it, and a 2 mile drive with free parking, rather than a trip to London

Good morning Nanto and everyone else.

I did use our shiny new GTec thingy to do upstairs yesterday - poor thing was exhausted though and has had to have a rest to recharge. I rather like this. It stops me overdoing the housework thing - hahaha!

I'm still trying to get daffs planted but it was too wet yesterday morning and by the time it dried up enough it started to rain again.

The sun's shining this morning, so I'll keep my fingers crossed it stays dry.

        Gem - enjoy Miss Saigon.

Good morning. Been raining heavily here but now the sun is trying to some out.

Getting fed up with this vertigo now, it's not too bad during the day but trying to sleep sitting up is a pain in the neck, literally! Also, my bp still isn't going down so it looks like the new meds aren't working either . Another trip to the docs next week so will see what he thinks.

we were planning to do some gardening today but everything is so wet at the moment, another cuppa calls ☕️

Enfys - I'll join you in another cuppa - it's very wet here as well.

Vertigo is horrible and it must be even worse when you can't sleep. I hope a change of BP meds sorts things out for you. xx

I'm sure vertigo must be horrible Enfys and Plant

Ladies, I just want to draw your attention to the new section on products. It is for you to recommend anything that you use and love. So please tell us about your Dysons, Karchers etc on there ,and anything at all you recommend. A thread for each product please

Not suffered myself but I know people who have had vertigo and it's very debilitating. It's not just a dizziness/fear of heights as some people think. Hope you feel better really soon Enfys.xx

I've put a few photos in my media of our Canaries cruise. Some of the best ones were apparently too big to post so I had to miss out a lot of the lovely scenery ones.

We went out to get a length of skirting board and came back with said skirting board plus............ A new TV! To be fair the current one is playing up. IT is a "smart tv" so smart that it has a mind of its own and you turn it on and it takes about half an hour, sometimes more, to actually come on, does what it wants really. The new TV is 32 inches so quite a lot bigger than the old one. Not sure if we are going to be able to fit it on our table in the corner! We haven't set it up yet but I think I will open the box and look at the instructions as he certainly won't and then there will be lots of huffing and puffing and him telling me that they haven't put the right things in etc. And I will triumphantly hold up the correct instructions at which point he will completely ignore me for five minutes and then do what I have said claiming that he was right in the first place

A friend of my DD is putting on a Baby Shower for her. How lovely. I haven't been to one before. It's in a lovely restaurant with afternoon tea. Has anyone else been to one? Do we share the cost/take a gift etc?

Hope you're all having a good Sunday.

Well Plant I cannot be bothered with the huffing and puffing, but I am used to it, so I have my way of coping! We have got it working and yes, it went exactly how I said it would. I could have done it myself but I am not allowed to. Funny how when he isn't here I manage to get all sorts done without his masculine logic and strength bless him. When he was flying he could be away for three or four days at a time on long haul and I managed all the domestic stuff without him including unblocking the toilet and the guttering. I just get in with it, same as I did when we had the shop and he was out on the road or when I was on the road and things happened like the trolleys slid and things. I did used to moan if my nails broke though!

Nana, we had babyshowers for DD1s baby, and DD2s second baby ( DD2 spent too much of her first pregnancy in hospital to have one) We had an afternoon tea both times.
We told everyone the cost ahead of time. We paid the bill, the guests paid us, and of course we paid for the expectant mum.
We said no presents, but quite a few people brought along a small gift.

I loved Miss Saigon, but wish it could have ended differently!

Problem is Gem we know the end of the story don't we? I love West Side Story and still cry at the end even though I know the end is not going to change! Bit like Titanic - if you don't want to watch a film because you know the ending you wouldn't watch it would you?
