Qwerty - one of my sons has a less smart one of those cars, and yes, they are great fun, but not a sleek, smooth ride. Mind you, his has the added 'fun' of a soft top which doesn't fit too well!! I hope you all managed some laughs among the tears with your dear friend. I keep thinking about her, it must be so hard. xxx

    LG - sounds perfect.

Nanto - I hope your friend gets good news from the scan on Thursday.

Gem - I hope the sunshine today lasted, and you are enjoying the theatre. Yes, I got most of my jobs done, but definitely ready for an early night before tomorrow!

        Hi everyone.
And happy 60th birthday to one of our mods, Oma!
Best wishes to your friend, Nan2.

No wind here last night Oma, so a lovely warm night, perfect for the performance, although we were glad of our light jackets and the warm blanket by the end of the evening! We loved it, a wonderful experience
We were going to go to the Eden Project today as rain was forecast. Now only a small amount is forecast for today, and the full day of rain is tomorrow, so we are going there tomorrow. Off to St Ives by train today.

So pleased you enjoyed the Minnack, it is an amazing place, OH and I have been there a few times, we saw Madame Butterfly there on a sunny afternoon, with the sea as a backdrop it was magical.. You will love St. Ives, probably not too crowded I hope for you. The train journey is always a must, if you read this before you go, sit on the side nearest the platform, best views that side. Lots of lovely eating places, watch out for the seagulls. Have fun

Gem I'm glad you are enjoying your holiday in spite of the indecisive weather. It's a good idea to be flexible with your plans.

Nanto and Qwerty,I too am thinking about you and your dear friends and hope you find the strength to support them when they need you.

I have had a week of workmen. After the plumber's two visits I had to ask someone to put back what I thought was a loose tile and ended up having to have the bottom few rows of tiles removed and the felt renewed back and front. We had the usual hiccups that seem to be inevitable when workmen are on the premises and they were compounded by the fact that the parent seagulls on the roof were vociferously protecting their chick. I suggested the work be postponed til the baby fledged but the roofer was determined to carry on. Of course it slowed him up as he kept having to fend off the gulls and their buddies that came to help them

I 've now got conjunctivitis which I think could be down to the stress of the last week. I know that sounds a bit pathetic but due to OH's health he is not really able to cope with these sort of things like he used to as he forgets what people say to him.I've never been used to dealing with things like this though I know I should have.So apart from being in unfamiliar territory I am so sad that OH is on this terrible path.

Well its raining hard hear , I went to bring bins in after they were emptied and decided to disinfect and hose them out , D'S came in and couldn't believe I was washing the bins in the rain but I was soaking anyway so just thought well may as well while I'm wet 😀. It's turned a bit cold so I have put heating on for 15 minutes just to warm house up , I said this morning the sun didn't know weather to stay out or go in . It went in and stayed in 😕

Rain started again here after a lovely morning! Hope it clears up for our family trip to Aldeburgh starting on Friday. Don't fancy going on a cruise on Sunday in the rain! DS tells me it's 30 degrees in Slovakia. I've told him to bring some sun/warmth back with him.
Been to dentist this morning and I need an old filling replaced because my tooth is starting to crack. Hopefully when it's done it'll be less grey than it is now.
Finally replaced the sunglasses I left on train to B'ham meet-up last year. My goodness, what a difference they make, even though the sun's not shining!

Little Miss Sadie is clearly a very excited little girlie about the weekend at Chessington World of Adventures. All hail the postman who got the letter to us. Bless her little heart. Looking forward to spending some time with them. It has cost quite a lot of money and I am sure we will be spending a lot more although I have decided they will each have a purse with £20 which is for ice creams and incidentals. There is the opportunity to do a giraffe safari and feed them but it is £45 EACH so that is not going to happen. BUT apparently you can feed the Penguins but I don't know if it has a cost, it says not but I don't believe that.

Looking forward to spending some nice time with the children, need something to distract me from the stress of the kitchen rip out........
