    Good to hear that mimi

Very windy here today. OH playing golf
I worked this morning and am looking after my GS for the afternoon. Out for a meal tonight, as it's OHs birthday.
Our poorly cat is at the vets (covered on another thread) so we wait to hear news of her.

It's very windy here and I am hoping that the fence at the top of our garden stays up just one more day. It's leaning heavily towards our garden and what with the wind and ALL the rubbish our neighbours had piled against it has taken its toll. It's not a new fence, we inherited from the previous occupants, it's in fairly good condition so we have someone coming to re erect it tomorrow !

Let us know if you have any problem and we can delete for you. You should be able to do it yourself though I think.

Good morning, to you, too, Nanto. I've just ordered coffee and pains au chocolate in the Tea House for anyone who wants to join me.

I have an unexpectedly free day! Both OH and I thought we were due to go out for coffee and lunch today, then realised late last night it's next week! The sun's shining and the garden, the allotment and the housework all beckon! What shall I do?

At last the back garden fence is fixed, it no longer leans towards our flower beds and lawn .
We have been sitting out in the afternoon sunshine but it's now gone over cast and the silly man on the radio says it's going to rain tomorrow 😒

We had a very exciting day yesterday. We had had our invitation to a Royal Garden Party a few months ago. After buying my outfit and OH getting a new suit, we had been nervously checking the weather forecast for a few days. We caught a tram to our city, the train to London travelling first class as we had booked weeks ago for a bargain ticket. We caught the underground to Green park and wandered across to the palace.
After queueing for an hour we showed passport Id and were let in along with 8,000 others!
We went though the palace and out into the grounds where tables and chairs were set out. We had our cucumber sandwiches, cake and iced coffee. At 4.00 the Queen, Prince Phiip, Charles and Camilla came onto the terrace. They wandered around but we were unable to see them again with crowds so we walked round the lake and grounds.
At six o'clock we began our journey home, tired but with good memories.

Sounds like an exciting day Millie B.A shame you couldn't see the Royals.

Millie, what a lovely day, and although you shared it with many others it will still be special. I think it's quite unusual to have such a senior Royal Team on parade at a garden party, so you must have been a very special crowd. I'm glad the weather held for you too. I know you're not allowed to take photos, which is a pity, but you will have lots of good memories.
