Once the fog lifted it was another nice day, but cooler than yesterday.
We had a good evening with lots of laughs. The other friends have just gone.

Gem, well done for OH winning at the casino.
First time we went to a casino was years ago in Malta.
Then on the cruise ships we used to just watch.
The casinos in Las Vegas are massive. You can have lessons there, but i couldn't take it in.

Oma, how lovely to have a new baby in the family. I think the name Pearl is pretty, and the name seems to be making a comeback.

We got a few jobs done in the garden yesterday while the weather was very pleasant.

No plans today really, GS2 and his wife are still here but leaving later to visit her parents.

We are going home today, but no urgency to get back. Not sure what we will do today.
The friends we are staying with are both doing Slimming World, so we are looking forward to our Easter eggs when we get home

B is still full of cold but wanted to get out of the house so we have just been to the little Morrisons near us,
well it’s about a 10 minute drive .

It was very quiet in there, it was early though.

Not much to do today , I washed all the floors did usual pottering so a quiet day .

Good Bank Holiday Monday morning, everyone. It's sunny at the moment, but not very warm. I'll take that though, if I can get out into the garden.

Nanto, how lovely to have a visit from GD1 and family. How is little Tommie getting on? I bet he's at the full of mischief stage, with an adorable cheeky grin.

Plant, televisions seem to get more complicated all the time. Good luck with yours. No sign of the baby yet?

Gem, I was thinking about Las Vagas as well. I thought it was rather sad, with so many people like zombies, not knowing whether it was day or night because none of the casinos of clocks or windows. Safe journey home to your Easter eggs.

Morning all

Has anyone been caught out by April Fool Our local is claiming that pubs are selling the local craze of drinking pints of jam !

At the moment it's slightly warmer and surprisingly the rain has stopped for a while.
I have managed to do a few jobs outside but until the grass dries out I am limited at the moment. Also James ( gardener) will be here tomorrow to lay the slabs, so once that has been done hopefully we can have a really good tidy up.

Oma, hope B gets better soon.

Mimi, we haven't been caught out with any April fools.

GD's hubby wanted to get a job done in the house, so they left Tommie here for a couple of hours. He wasn't a bit of bother, he watched a bit of TV, had something to eat, then he wanted to go in grandads shed. He wanted to know what everything was for and what it did.
He fell off his slide on Saturday, so he's got a black eye, it wasn't bothering him though.

We have had a lovely sunny day, I have been sitting in my sunroom.

Well it’s never stopped raining all day ,
I did want to change the pots around as my Narcissus are dying now and the crocus ,
The pink blossom on the trees are dropping so our drive is covered in them , now they are wet it will be difficult to brush them up.

I have a bit of a sore chest , Im hoping I’m not getting the same cold as B , I have appointment to get my hair coloured on Thursday ,
I don’t want to miss it as she’s fully booked for weeks.

I haven’t seen any April fools so far 😁

We left Scarborough this afternoon and had a trouble free drive back. We had a very good weekend, next door's cat had missed us and was waiting to come in with us!

Weather today has been quite pleasant, we had sunshine after the rain.
There are some dark clouds looming now though.

Mimi, I didn't get caught out but this one made me laugh out loud. A very good amateur weather forecaster who is also a clever cartoonist announced that there was going to be a all-weather related Freeview channel - he thought it was Channel 69 (!) - and they had offered him his own series to contain interviews with storm chasers and well-known forecasters, in-depth analysis ... etc, etc. He would actually be brilliant, but he was clearly pulling our legs.

We've had quite a lot of sunshine today, but it was quite chilly and windy. We had a lazy morning, doing nothing! After lunch OH went out to deal with his leaking car, drawing the water out of the carpets with the Vax cleaner. I spent quite a while practising scales on the keyboard, then amused myself with some very bad playing. I didn't take Eva out until 8 o'clock, but it wasn't properly dark. Lovely to be able to go out after dinner.

Gem, I think your neighbour's cat is trying to tell you something. Glad you and S had a good week-end in Scarborough.

Oma, I do hope you haven't caught B's cold - it sounds nasty. All the rain is depressing, isn't it. xx

Nanto, I bet Tommie had a wonderful time with you. Children are amazing how they brush things off. I hope his eye is soon better though.

Good morning. I think some rain is forecast, so there's a surprise.

Kitchen cleaning today.

I sorted some bags out yesterday, so when I go to the post office later, I'm going to put them in the air ambulance collection. They are like new, but I know I won't use them, so they are going.

Pizza for dinner, hubby's choice.
