Gemini, goodness what a lot of childcare for you.

Oma, Storm knew he should be at Nanas, he wanted his gourmet breakfast. Lovely for you to have a visit from your son and the grandchildren. They are not a bit alike.
My GS went to Cardiff to study Physio, he loves his job, he is a real people person.

Going to see the baby this afternoon with GD and H. He was 7lb and the names suggested are Theo, Cameron and my favourite Lucus.

Daisy, what a nightmare for you to have your card cloned, you wonder how that happens.

Nanto, enjoy you pub meal, no cooking for you today.

Lizzie, pleased to hear raincoat did the job.

        Good Friday morning everyone.

Plant, it's nice to see some traditional names coming back. They do go in cycles, don't they. But then everyone uses them, and they fall out of favour again. My GD1 has 5 Sophies in her class, and I can remember having 5 Christines, and 2 of the 3 Thelmas I have ever known! I hope you can have a lovely cuddle with your new GGS.

Oma, you'd never mistake your GS2 for anyone other than a relative of yours - you are so alike. Storm knows his routine, doesn't he.

Gem, you must be shattered. It's wonderful and as you say, a privilege to be able to care for our GCs, but 3 full days (with a range of ages) and an evening babysitting as well is a lot. I hope tomorrow stays free and you can relax and recover. x

I hope the credit card stuff is sorted out now, but in the night my OH went down with what I think is Norovirus. He was at a friend's on Wednesday and they have recently had it, but we all assumed it was ok now. Clearly not. I just hope I do't get it because we're due to have both GDs at the beginning of next week and I've booked up a couple of outings for them. It feels like one thing after another at the moment. I'm waiting for the plague of locusts to arrive!!!

Daisy, poor OH . Wishing him a speedy recovery and everything crossed for you not getting it.

Nan2, sunny and windy here at the moment and we have washing blowing too . I love Barcelona.

Plant, enjoy the baby visit. We are all jealous I like Theo and Lucas and I'm sure Cameron would grow on me!

GS2 wants to stay in today ( busy week and full day out tomorrow for his birthday) So stay in we shall!
DD and GD will pick him up after GD's dance workshop so I will have a little time with them before I go over to DD1's.

Nanto, I hope your DS2 and DIL have a lovely time. I've never been to Barcelona, but it looks wonderful in photos. Is it their first visit?

Gem, Hopefully staying in with GS2 will be less tiring than an outing. Are you staying the night at DD1's or just the evening?

Daisy, just for the evening, and it's only a 5 minute drive home when traffic is light.

Nothing quite as dramatic as a plague of locusts - just a blocked kitchen sink! I didn't even mention last night's kitchen disaster. I had made a rice pudding and put it in the top oven. Half way through, I took it out to see if it needed a stir, and spilt it all over the oven, the oven door, into the main oven below and on the floor. I can't see any way of removing one layer of glass on the main oven door to clean what went down between the two pieces of glass.

Back from the pub, both of us enjoyed our meal.

Before we went,we managed to get the grass cut, also brought dried washing in,just in case.
Both of us got showered then we were off.
Glad i brought the washing in,there was a shower while we were out.

Daisy,we love Barcelona. This is their 2nd visit.
First time they went, they stayed near Sagrada Familia, this time they are staying on Las Ramblas.
In fact their hotel is next door to the one we stayed in.
What a disaster with the rice pudding.
If you go on you tube and put your oven model number in, it might tell you how to remove the glass.
Hubby took the glass out of the small oven on ours, but it did say in the manuel how to do it.
The glass in the big top oven didn't need doing,it didn't get used as much.

                      How is OH.

Daisy what an episode of worries for you, so sorry about the virus, hope you donā€™t get it. Good advice from Nanto

Nanto pleased your lunch out was enjoyable and well done to get the washing in.

Went to see my new GtGrandson this afternoon, of course he is gorgeous. Family are very laid back in spite of the fact he was nearly born in the car. His name is Theo Arthur, his second name was my OHā€™s second name. GS has nearly a month off.

Gemni, busy again with child minding, you are certainly a hands on GM.

Daisy, so sorry about the oven/rice pudding incident.

Off to have my tea now - sausage mash and beans. We usually feed GC at 5 and we eat when they have gone. As I'm out tonight we are all eating together.

Oh poor J ,Daisy . I hope you donā€™t get it.
Disaster with the rice pudding ,
B once did that with a frangipane tart, Iā€™ve never seen something go so far and slide down the inside of the glass the way it did .
Luckily we know how to take our door apart ,
Good idea to go on YouTube , you can find everything on there .

                            Plant
                            Theo is gorgeous šŸ„°
So lucky to hold a new baby , there nothing like it is there x

                            Gem
                            Enjoy your evening xx

                            Nanto
You always enjoy your lunch there donā€™t you.
We had a sneak of sunshine for about 10 minutes that was it .

We have just had minted lamb chops for tea , and we had bought some frozen potato nugget sort of things to try,
Put one in my mouth and it was coated in garlic šŸ¤¢
I hadnā€™t noticed on the pack and they didnā€™t smell of garlic while in the oven but I think thatā€™s because the lamb chops smell so strong .

B liked them mine went in the bin ,

Storm was good as gold today

Unlike my DSs dog , he brought him last night, heā€™s a 1 yr old black lab absolutely beautiful but wild,
He ran away with anything he could get in his mouth , Bs phone , cushions, a pen, my throw , my handbag even the stones on my fire,
He then stole lemon sherbets out of a bowl on my breakfast bar and ate them wrapper and all,
Jumped on my furniture and ran upstairs onto bed and tried to drag a pillow downstairs .
His tail wags so much itā€™s like a windmill

Not only does he need castrating to calm him down but he needs training too.
He never stops , I couldnā€™t cope with him on a regular basis , I told my DS he needs to get him sorted while heā€™s still a pup,
He is big and boisterous and doesnā€™t know his own strength, he could hurt someone jumping on them , not meaning too heā€™s just hyper.

Hes called Argo is should be Tasmanian Devil.

Plant, lovely name for the new baby. How sweet that they've given him your OH's middle name as his middle name. I'm sure you loved having a cuddle. GS is lucky to have a month off to get to know the new baby - and help with the others, I'm sure.

Nanto, what a good day you've had - lawn cut, washing dried and a nice lunch out. Thanks for the help with the oven door. I haven't even had chance to look today, busy being nurse all day.

Oma, I love frangipane tart - it would be a major disaster to lose it between the oven doors. Storm is a good boy. Argo is gorgeous, but Labs are slow to grow up. It sounds as though he could do with some training but there's evidence that castrating too early can do more harm than good, and he's just a teenager at the moment. My last Lab was about 2 when he started to calm down. Cooper (DS2's dog) was much like that at that age, but he's very good now. He gets excited when visitors arrive and he's got a 'greeting toy' which only comes out when the doorbell rings, and he is so busy showing you his toy he calms down quickly. He's entire, and they thought about the snip when he was unruly, but were advised not to, and are glad they stuck with training him.

OH isn't feeling quite as bad as this morning, but has done a few miles running between bed and bathroom today, poor chap.

Gem, I hope you enjoyed your tea. I hope baby E sleeps for you this evening - you must be exhausted.
