Congratulations Plant on the new baby.

Weather’s not too bad here! We were also lucky over the weekend as DD and family came for a few days and we were able to get out quite a bit.SIL brought his bike and had a few long rides round the Gower. We also had an afternoon in Mumbles and the younger members of the family went on a recently installed big wheel though DD and I stayed on the ground with the dog, sitting in the sunshine. We had a Sunday lunch at a nice pub near the marina followed by a walk round looking at all the lovely boats moored there.Time went too quickly .

Plant, lovely news, and not too long past the due date

Oma, nice to hear MIL was in good spirits,

I hope you and Eva managed to stay dry Daisy.

Mimi I love risotto but have never cooked it!

That sounds a lovely family weekend Clover.

We tried to go for lunch with auntie G into the small town she lives in. There are several nice cafes, but it's a bit far for G to walk now and there was nowhere to park. Half of Yorkshire seemed to be there! So we drove to a farm shop cafe a few minutes drive down the road where we had been before. We all had a nice lunch and browsed the farm shop, but didn't buy anything. Back to G's for cuppa, then the afternoon was gone. She's a marvel for 95 (my cousin has just taught her how to find and use iplayer on her TV) Although she says she is past her sell by date

The wind has got up,blowing a gale out there.

Oma, good to hear your MIL had found her good mood again.

Clover, what a lovely week-end you all had. I'm sure you were sad when they went home, but at least you had a chance to put your feet up.

Gem, it's getting harder to find parking spots in some places, but I'm sure Auntie G enjoyed the farm shop cafe just as much. She does sound amazing for her age. She also sounds as though she has a young attitude and is happy to learn new things.

Mimi, how lovely to have your new paving down in time for the summer (if we ever get one!), and how kind of J to offer to help with making good on the lawn. You must be so pleased with it - you just need the fine weather now to make use of the path to the washing line.

Plant, another Great Grandson - many congratulations. We look forward to hearing details as and when, but I hope baby and his mummy are ok.

Nanto, did you get the windows cleaned?

Lizzie, one extreme to another, but 20C is something to look forward to after all this cold, wet and windy weather.

I managed to dodge the rain when I took Eva out this morning. It was dry but cold and windy when we went dog training. Part way through Eva wanted to go out (despite all bases being covered before we went in!). The hall where we train is on a narrow lane with a 30mph limit, but being a cut through traffic hammers along much faster. No pavements, and there was a narrow grass verge - until the Council in its wisdom dredged the ditch depositing piles of black sticky mud on the grass. Faced with an oncoming speeding car or the mud, Eva and I chose the mud! She did the necessary (I won't regale you with the joys of picking up out of black sticky mud!) and we squelched back into the hall. For the first time ever the floor had been cleaned this morning, so you can imagine my embarrassment taking my mud mutt back in there! I dried her off as best I could on her own bed, but I couldn't do much about the floor. Pam, the trainer was philosophical - why would you clean the floor before dog training classes are due!! I'll have to wash Eva's bed now.

Good morning, wet again out there.

Daisy, I did get the windows cleaned inside, could do with the window cleaner coming to do the outside now.

            Hairdresser coming this morning.

No plans today, will take the day as it comes.

Mash, tomato sausage, veg and onion gravy for dinner.

Good morning, Nanto, we have the rain today. I went to the gym on the bike, luckily with the new raincoat, stayed dry!

I need to do my windows outside, maybe next week as the forecast is good.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. Rain again here, but I've just caught a glimpse of what I think is the sun!

OH's car has to go in to the garage today, so I'm going to fetch him back now. I'll pop back later.

                  Good morning ladies.

Nan2, is that your hubby checking his hair there?

You would be glad of your raincoat then Lizzie!

Daisy, I think dog owners must encounter a level of mud I could never imagine!

Baby E day . More peaceful than last week as no GS2 (his day tomorrow) and no visitors from next door!

                    Daisy
The dog trainer had a point , why wash floors when they know there is a dog class 🙄

                    Lizzie
Good to hear your new raincoat is doing its job does it cover your legs too?

                    Gem
Enjoy your quieter day , are you going to get other quotes for your flooring ?

                    Nanto
We are having home made sausage and tomato pie today

                      Well had a busy day
went to Hairdressers had hair coloured was there 2.1/2 hours then to Drs ,

Got there 10 minutes before my appointment , 25 minutes later Dr strolls into surgery , no hurry considering he had quite a few patients.
If I had been late I wouldn’t be able to see him but it’s ok for him to be late ,
Hes a lovely Dr but that doesn’t excuse lateness

DS turned up with the children at half 4 and they have just left
I have a headache now and I need a good cup of tea 😁

It's a good job I didn't have any urgent plans today. The Bank phoned to say my credit card had been used fraudulently! I spent all morning sorting out some payments. I found out that you can't delete a payment card with Sainsburys between you placing an order and them delivering it! It's obviously been cancelled by the bank, so I hope they have the sense to take payment from the one I've now designated as "preferred"!! If not, we'll be going shopping on Saturday! There were several other payments in the pipeline, all needing to be changed, and of course it could be a week before I get a replacement card. Grrr ...

Oma, Aren't your GS2 and GD growing up fast! Lovely photo of them all. So many people seem to think appointment times are optional, but I'm quite surprised your GP wasn't concerned about how late he was.

Gem, how was your day with baby E? Yes, mud is almost compulsory when you have a dog!

Lizzie, your new raincoat sounds like a good choice.

Nanto, well done on getting the windows cleaned. I hope you get some dry weather though when the window cleaner arrives.

Plant, how is your new GGS? Have they chosen a name? Was he a big baby?

Nanto and Oma - are you two planning a night on the town tonight, with both having your hair done today?

Oma, I'm glad DS and GC turned up.

Oh dear Daisy, what a carry on . It causes so much disruption when something like this happens.

I did have a nice day with baby E. He is never still though so it's quite tiring. I definitely need his afternoon nap
Once OH got back from golf we both took him into the garden for a while.

                            Good morning.

I think rain is forecast again.

Daisy, don't know about Oma, but there was no night on the town for me last night.
Sorry to hear your card was used fraudulently.
Glad you eventually got it sorted out, but what a hassle.

Oma, lovely to have a visit from DS and the GC.
They certainly look grown up now.

Gem, glad you had a lovely day with baby E.

Hubby's pal got another great granddaughter yesterday . H sent a photo and she is beautiful. Her name is Else Mae. No I in Else.

No cooking today, we are going for a pub meal.

                                Good morning.

Heavy rain here all night, but the sun is coming out, almost.

Pub meal and no cooking on Friday Nan2, good idea.

Oma, you are right. Baby is adorable and so funny. It's such a privilege to look after our GC, it makes us closer to them. Too close sometimes when we catch all the bugs from nursery

GS2 today, and then over to DD1's to babysit for GS1. Three full childcare days and one evening babysitting this week. I am looking forward to my totally free day tomorrow! We will be having GS3 on Monday as well as Thursday next week so will make the most of the weekend

I hope everyone is well and has a good Friday.
