Well the casserole didn’t go to plan ,
Opened the beef and it was Rancid ,
    Thanks Mr Tesco for that.

So change of plans , to late to take anything out of the freezer .
So a quick dash over to M&S and Pizza it is,
I could have bought some more beef but the smell turned my stomach and put me off that for today.

    Plant
Hope you found a good film to watch,
I polished my coffee and side tables and gave the sink a good clean and shine but nothing else was done 😁

    Lizzie
If it still works no need to change for the sake of change is it 😁

    Daisy
Did you enjoy lunch , I hope the rain stopped for Eva’s walk .

      We're home now.
The funeral went ok, but if our side of the family hadn't gone, there wouldn't have been many there.
Glad we made the effort to go,for the girls sakes.
It was a long drive, but there were no hold ups.

Plant, cosying up indoors with a good film is the best way to cope with this awful weather. What did you choose in the end?

Oma, you wonder how meat can go off like that, always assuming it was in date. I do wonder sometimes about chilled items in supermarkets. I've often seen abandoned chilled food on other shelves and I'm sure the staff just dump them back in the chill cabinet, but goodness knows how long they've been out there. I hope B is feeling a bit better and over the worst. Sweet of GS and Lucie to call in and check on him. What lovely youngsters they are.

Nanto, it was good of you to go to the funeral, but sounds a good job that you did. How sad that the legacy someone leaves behind them is like that. I bet both you and Mr N are tired after the long drive.

Lizzie, has all your furniture now settled down in its new places? It's nice to have a move round sometimes but I hope you haven't ended up with an aching back.

We had a lovely time at our friends' today. We went for coffee, then a long leisurely lunch and sat chatting until we realised it was 5 o'clock and the other couple had a two hour plus drive to get home. OH had called round home to let Eva out half way through.

It's been a dreadful day, weather-wise. Endless torrential rain and high winds. I got soaked walking Eva this morning - and so did she, of course. The wind in a group of large old oak trees was actually quite frightening. We drove round to our friends', even though it's less than a 5 minute walk!

Oma, I do hope B feels better soon.

Nan2, you were good to go to the funeral.

Good idea to watch a film on a wet miserable day Plant

Lizzie, it will save you money if you don't need a new Mac!

Did you and Eva get wet Daisy?

            Sun and showers here.
The boys had a lovely and noisy day together, and it was lovely to have baby S and her grandma here this morning .

              Gem, our posts crossed.

Were your ears ringing after the boys' noisy day? How is baby S doing? I can't remember whether she is a bit younger or older than your GS3.

Daisy she is exactly a year younger, so she is 8 months old. Her grandma has just started looking after her

I had a nice quiet couple of hours with just GS2 when OH was on the golf course and baby asleep

That sounds a lovely day with your friends.

                  Early morning all.

Admin thank you for your delightful email, the Simmel cake looks delicious.

I don't know about you but I am completely fed up with all this cold , wet weather.

Today DS and DIL are coming here sometime today as is DD, SIL and two youngest GS's, not sure if they are arriving at the same time, will have to wait and see.

Tuesday late afternoon we discovered that our tap water had turned brown (Ugh!) , but to be fair to Welsh water they soon sorted it out, or so we thought. We got up Wednesday morning and the water was brown again. This time we were without water for most of the day. I was gagging for a cup had tea. I find it hard to function without my first morning cuppa.

Oma , did you take the meat back to Tesco, you would have been given your money back.

Nan2, it was good of you to go to the funeral, it couldn't have easy , especially as you had a long journey .

As its only 5.30 am I am going to attempt to try to get some sleep.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning. Dry and bright here.
The rain absolutely poured down last night.

Mimi, have a lovely day with your visitors.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning, no plans for me.

Gem, I forgot to thank you for the ecard, so thank you.

Easy dinner, I took a corned beef and mash pie out of the freezer last night.

Good morning everyone and a good Good Friday to you.

Sunny here, a nice morning - so far!

Mimi I so agree with you that the almost relentless wet and dreary weather is having a negative effect on people. It sounds a nice day of family visits for you.

Enjoy your no plan day Nan2.

Family lunch here, just a buffet. I made use of GS2's artistic talents yesterday by getting him to make signs for the sandwiches as we are having 5 varieties. He wrote and drew appropriately on each one. His chicken with crown for Coronation chicken amused him very much
We are eating for 1pm but DD and SIL3 will come earlier to fit in with baby's early afternoon nap.

Good morning, Gem, enjoy the lunch with the family.
Very windy here but sunny with it, my washing has already dried in the wind.

I actually got the cupboards sorted out last night, my (male)neighbour helped me, a good thing as it was very heavy!! I did know that though. I just need to get rid of the old one now, I have put it on a free site, if it doesn't go I will phone the second hand place next week.

Gemini, have a lovely time with the family, food sounds good, love the crown idea.

We have sunshine, not sure it will last. I shall watch the boat race later. Dreadful news coming out about the rivers, I hope nobody sinks. My youngest GD and her partner have lost the house they were wanting to buy, the owners have gone with another family. I think the agents and owners used them as a lever to get the other purchaser to get a move on. Of course it has cost them money which they can’t afford.

Mimi, I hope you managed to get the disgusting brown water sorted. Have a lovely time with the family.

Nanto, I am sure you will find lots to do to keep you busy whilst OH is out.

                              Morning everyone
                              Been a busy morning ,
I went to B&M early for them opening at 8,30, then my neighbour popped in,
She just left and DD and Storm turned up ,
Stayed for a coffee and chat, she wanted to check on her dad 😁

She found a dog yesterday while walking Storm. took it home and put it on Face Book ,
A lady contacted her , it was her dog it was 13 yrs old and partially blind ,
It managed to get out and they were frantic incase it wandered into the road .

Only lived a few streets away.

Good Good Friday morning, everyone. The Easter week-end seems to have crept up without me realising. It would be lovely to think we might get a few days of sunshine, or at least no rain, but it doesn't look very promising.

Mimi, have a wonderful time with your family. I couldn't agree more about the depressing effect of the weather. How frustrating to be without water all day. The more you think about the missed cup of tea, the worse it gets, doesn't it. I would have been obsessed with thinking about it, imagining the taste etc. I need my cuppa in a morning!

Gem, I won't be able to look at a Coronation chicken sandwich again without imagining your GS2's crowned chicken. Have a lovely family time.

Lizzie, that cupboard looks very heavy - I'm glad you got help with it. It looks very traditional - do you know how old it is?

Nanto, I bet you're ready for a relaxing day after your long day yesterday. Enjoy your corned beef pie. x

Plant, I agree about the water pollution. You wouldn't want to fall in. I'm so sorry your GD and partner have lost the house they wanted. Our system of buying and selling property leaves honest, genuine buyers very vulnerable, and as you say, it's already cost them money. I hope they have better luck next time and find a house that they like even more.

Oma, how is B today? I hope he's over the worst, and doesn't pass it on to you. I'm sure Storm made a big fuss of him. I can imagine how delighted the owners were to get their elderly dog back. Well done to your DD was rescuing him.

I don't seem to have done much this morning. Sainsbury's turned up a whole hour early. When I got up and drew the curtains there the van was, parked outside! I've done the dog food order, and written a couple of letters. Not doing much else today.
