Oma, no I didn’t get to the tip, Sil wanted me to direct the pruning of the apple trees, we only managed to get one done. It is a bit late but I hadn’t been able to find anyone to do it so we just went for it. He has a very smart new ladder and was anxious to use it.

H has had two days at pre-school, yesterday without mummy. All went well and she will start after Easter holiday every morning. No news of baby yet, both GM’s on standby.

We have sunshine at the moment, hope it continues.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

I didn't get a chance to come online to post yesterday - and I hope to catch up properly later today.

The funeral went very well and a lot of people had made long journeys to be there. I'll write a bit more later. I've got several phone calls to make before dog training this afternoon - although Eva is tired after spending yesterday with our neighbours and their dog.

Oma, Wednesday and Monday have different instructors, it's the Monday instructor with the poorly OH. So usual Wednesday instructor today, thank goodness! One of my friends was there so we stayed for coffee.
Our ring door bell is arriving this afternoon, as is Tesco.
I got the Minutes done yesterday when GS1 was here, so I must do some dusting etc this afternoon as no excuse now!

It was a very strange day weather wise. Fine this morning, then once I got a line of towels out it darkened and rained. Then later the sun came out!

Tesco delivery came with no substitutions or missing items. It was the same last time. They are on a roll!

Our doorbell arrived and it still appears to be charging. I have put the app on my phone

I probably won't be on early in the morning. We are leaving here about 7ish.
We have a 1½ hour drive to the funeral. Allowing a bit of extra time, in case the traffic doesn't play ball.
Funeral is at 9.30.

Nanto, love the multiple piggies this morning - brought a smile to my face. It's sensible to leave plenty of time for any journey these days, but that seems quite early for a funeral. I know you weren't close, but I hope it all goes smoothly. Safe journey.

Gem, you will get bored if Tesco suddenly stop offering you substitutes on your order! . I hope the change in weather didn't mean OH having to abandon her golf. Enjoy your new doorbell! We find it very useful. Our neighbours are away overnight and she just texted me to say there was a parcel on her doorstep (they have the same doorbell as us) and could we take it in for her. They've done the same for us - it's very useful. You did well to type up the minutes while GS1 was there as well. Did you get that dusting done?

Plant, I'm sure the apple trees will forgive you for being a bit late with the pruning. Was your SIL happy with his new ladders?

I'm so sorry this morning, I didn't get round to saying a very grateful 'thank you' for all your lovely warm wishes for yesterday. I've done a little write up on a separate thread. My BIL rang this morning and spoke to OH. He is obviously very sad but his two DDs live nearby and we're only about half an hour away.

Both OH and I had a lot of things to catch up on this morning. I felt too tired to dog training this afternoon, but decided to go anyway, and was glad I did as Eva had a great time and is now zonked out on the sofa. I'm having an early night.

Good morning everyone, checking in to say I am still here! I try to read the posts in-between being busy! I have decided to get rid of a wall cupboard in the spare room, move the cupboard from the hall into there then DS1 has a beautiful Indonesian cabinet in my shed, I have asked if I can use it for the hall, so, it means emptying the wall cupboard, sorting out what can go then move everything round!!! I have already (this morning) moved the cupboard in the hall to see if the wall behind it is damaged or anything, luckily it isn't.

Nanto, you will be up early, hope the journey (and the funeral) goes well.xxx

I will catch up on all the posts when I get this sorting out done. I have to go to Zoetermeer this morning for the MOT on my Ebike, whilst they are busy I want to go to the Apple store, this one is 10 years old now and I have been thinking a while to replace it, what holds me back is ......... it still works!

Daisy, your BIL will be sad, luckily he has family in the area.

I got to aqua as well yesterday Gem, once more on a Wednesday then back to my usual group, much more activity.

I'm glad your BIL has his DDs and you and OH for support.

Quite a busy day today. Not only baby GS but GS2 as well. They adore each other
The baby next door, baby S, is coming round this morning with her grandma..Her grandma looks after her, coincidentally on the same day each week as I have baby E. She doesn't know anyone around here as she lives over an hour's drive away. Hopefully we can take the children out together in the summer.

I won't be online much today, but will catch up tonight!

We are not going to MILs today , B has come down with a awful cold he looks and feels dreadful.
We we’re supposed to be taking GS & Lucie out for a Chinese tonight but had to cancel till another night when B feeling better.

Im not used to a free Thursday,

Ive done my housework, put some washing in, re filled the soap dispensers in the bathroom and downstairs loo,
Took some diced beef out of the freezer to do a casserole for tea ,
sorted the draw out in my coffee table ,
I now how a whole day of nothing to do ,

I will be bored by lunch time so will have to find something to do 🤣

Good Thursday morning, everyone. As forecast, it's pouring with rain here!

Nanto, I hope your journey and the funeral go are without a hitch. I'm sure her DDs will be touched and pleased that you are there for them.

Gem, on this horrible dark, wet morning, it's wonderful to think about and plan granny outings with two gorgeous babies on warm sunny days, and picture them enjoying being out in the park, on picnics, playing with water toys in the garden, etc. I bet you and the next door granny will have a great time. Pleased S missed the rain - although the course must still be very wet.

Lizzie, I hope the furniture you're moving round isn't too heavy - do take care. It's quite satisfying sorting things out though, and I'm sure there will be some items you won't put back!

Oma, poor B. There are some nasty colds and bugs around, so I hope this isn't one of them and he's soon better. Don't let him share it with you!

We're going to some friends for coffee and lunch today. They only live round the corner but the other couple are travelling from Somerset, so I hope their journey is ok. But it does mean I need to take Eva for a walk before we go, and I'm going to get soaked!

I went to the Apple store, the very nice young man asked why I wanted a new Mac??????? A good question, he has given me a few tips so sort this one out then I have to think about it, the way he looks at it, this works, I only really use it for the internet now. I need to make a back up of important programmes etc, I do that anyway.

I have just received message and photo's from my youngest brother and wife, enjoying the sun in Cyprus.

Oma, I am really sorry to hear B has a very nasty cold, I hope he will feel better soon. Now for you I recommend, put the heating on, make a cup of tea and sit down with a good book. Now doesn’t that sound better than housework.

Daisy, it is sad that funerals are a way that people meet together when they wouldn’t otherwise. Nice that Eva enjoyed her class in spite of feeling tired.

Gemini, how lovely to have another GM looking after GS next door. I presume you arranged my lovely E card to be delivered, thank you.

Lizzie, you be careful moving that furniture around. That was nice of the young man to talk you out of spending money.

Nanto, I hope your journey isn’t too stressful

We have a very active Needlework group nearby, they make fantastic things. This morning, one of the members who I know from
when I worked at the school is a member and she came this morning and collected most of my needlework materials, threads etc. I am pleased I have found a good home for it all.
It is really cold and miserable outside, I shall have to find a good film to watch.
