Oma, I forgot he was wearing his glasses in the photo! Yes he does look cute in them and doesn't seem to mind wearing them at all

Aqua for both is us this morning Lizzie OMG re the lady and the pit bull!

Daisy which film did you see?

Ben our lovely Monday aquafit instructor was back so we had fun and lively class! One of my friends was in the class so we stayed for coffee.
This afternoon I have - renewed my driving licence, put last minute changes on the AGM Minutes and sent them to the group, sent another email to them about meeting dates, written a letter (as executor of my mum's will) to DD1's solicitor in the hope of speeding up the damned divorce. I feel quite virtuous

It's been a busy day, but good fun. GD2 is just waiting for me to read her a story, so I'll have to be quick.

Gem we went to see Wonka. We all got good bags with popcorn, a chocolate egg and a drink! Even the grown ups. I'm becoming a fan of our pop up cinema. OH was quite tired so he drove home, but the GDs and I walked across the common and I explained this was the way their dad used to walk to and from school when he was GD2's age.

We all enjoyed Wonka, and we were all mesmerised because Timothee Chalant is the image of GS2!

Must go. Early start tomorrow to go to the Hawk Conservancy - the girls are very excited about it.

Daisy, what a lovely day you had with the girls.
I bet they will enjoy today as well.

It's looking very gloomy here, I suspect rain is on it's way.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning, so I'll crack on.
All being well, sis in law and hubby are coming this afternoon.

Dinner today is bacon, beans and potato, swede and carrot mash.

Morning one and all, blimey it sure is windy outside! And it's cold and wet......again

Yesterday we were busy assembling a wooden strawberry planter and whilst we were doing that a delivery for OH arrived, it was in a large heavy cardboard box and when he opened it what was in side?
Not one two more b****y garden stone figures . One is a Wind in the Willows Bill the badger figure and the other one is on a hedgehog holding a broom Now I have a admit they do look nice nestled by the pots on the gravel but when will his obsession with garden ornaments stop ?

We are having pasta for lunch today, going to use up the last of the chicken.

Nan2 we love swede but sadly neither of us can actually peel or chop the damn things anymore. They are far too tough
I have occasionally brought ready peeled and chopped swede and although it's a more expensive way of buying it we find its just the right amount of serving for us as there is no waste.

We had an holiday brochure posted to us yesterday from a local coach traveled company and this morning I booked two day trips . One in June and one in September
We haven't been on an old fashionfashioned type of day trip for many years.
The first one is a trip to Stratford upon Avon and the other one is a trip to the Forest of Dean with a Welsh afternoon tea. Both trips pick up and drop of points are two mins from home
The second trip is a few days after our holiday to Devon

Just noticed that the window cleaners are about, hopefully they will be able to clean ours before it rains again
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma, when i'm doing anything, hubby will say it didn't need doing.
But i always say,it makes me feel better.

Mimi, i don'y buy swedes. They are too hard to peel and chop.
                    I buy these.

Hope you lot have got better weather than us.
I washed a load of darks earlier, and hung them out. There was a bit of sunshine.
Had to bring them in after about an hour,it started raining. Its cold with it as well.

Mimi, I find your OH's obsession with garden ornaments quite endearing Both trips sound good. I love Stratford on Avon.

Nan2 my mum loved swede but always got the diced frozen type from Farmfoods so she didn't have to peel and chop.

                      Knee doing OK Oma thanks.

A quiet morning at the library, maybe the weather keeping people in, but I found plenty do.
Windy and wet outside but I wait in the car for GS1 so I won't be out in it this afternoon.

                        Mimi
I could never peel and chop them when I was young never mind now
nothing wrong with buying them already chopped anything for a easy life ,

you will have to show us a picture of your garden ornaments 😁
Good for you booking your trips away ,
We must get around to sorting days away before it’s too late .

Its black here and the rain is coming down in sheets,
We managed to get to Iceland in between heavy downfalls but still got wet getting to the car,

Ive just had the box file I keep all my receipts in out,
Sorted it out we had them going back as far as 2015 , that was for a Three piece we haven’t had for about 6 years .

Its looking a lot less full now.

Tomorrow I intend getting all our coats we don’t wear and will never wear out of the cupboard in the bedroom where we hang them
Pack them up and sort wardrobes ready to take to the charity shop.
Its a fairly big cupboard that we have a long hanging rail and it’s so full we squeezing winter coats in , along with two ball gowns I bought for cruising ,
Once the coats and ball gowns are out it will be so much easier to get to the ones we use.

Oma, is one iof the ball gowns the one you had to go to the ladies to take off the corset with B’s help?

We are not getting the rain you have had in the north thank goodness. I hope it dries up for you all soon. We have nothing but lights and road works. Went to NT coffee morning this morning, not feeling great now tummy not quite right so I missed my Trefoil group this afternoon. Not sure if it is a bug or something I have eaten.

Daisy, you are having a lovely time entertaining your GD’s. They have just spent £10 thousand pounds on putting some sound proofing in our hall as it is a large hall the sound from the cinema shows was not good.

Oma, I am not very good at throwing things out especially clothes. I get attached to things I liked wearing even if I can’t get into them now.

Mimi, I love garden ornaments, apart from pots I only have a bird bath with a cherub sitting on it.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Yes one is that ball gown,
I love it but I’m never going to wear it again.
I sometimes get it out and put it on just to see if it still fits but it’s a bit tight on me now .
The other I’ve never worn still has the tags on .

I do have a long black velvet dress with crystals along the bottom , I’m keeping that just because I can’t bear to part with that one .

I hope you haven’t picked a bug up and you feel better by the morning

Plant I am rubbish at throwing anything away too. I hope your tummy feels better soon, I had a very painful ibs attack this afternoon and I have no idea why! It's OK now.

Oma, I think you should bring your lovely velvet dress to Birmingham for the Ivy

GS1 gone, OH back from her golf meeting, dinner is almost ready, so TV time soon.

Good morning. It's a better morning for a change.

I woke up this morning, convinced it was Sunday.

Hope you feel better this morning Plant.

Oma, a few months ago I went through our receipts, some were for things we got rid of donkeys years ago.

We have a lot of garden ornaments, some we've had for I don't know how long.

One of my jobs for this morning is ironing.

Gem, i sometimes use the frozen swede from Farmfoods, but i haven't been in there for months.
When we go in Iceland i always look to see if they do it, but I'm surprised they don't.

Dinner is crispy sliced potatoes, fish fingers and mushy peas.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
