Good morning. We have glorious sunshine.

Daisy, i always try to keep some cake in the house. If i buy a large cake i usually freeze half.

Polishing and hoovering upstairs this morning.
Also want to make a couple of pies for the freezer. The ones with beans in,not pastry pies.

Dinner is southern fried chicken,with some form of potatoes, cabbage and carrots.

Daisy how nice to have space to sit in the summerhouse. Roll on nice weather to enjoy it.

Plant I love seeing robins. The cottage we stayed at has a big tree with lots of feeders hanging. Right opposite the picture window. All manner of birds and pheasants gather there and we saw a robin yesterday.

Check out time here is 10. We will drive to Amble before we head home. We have a Tesco delivery booked but not until 6 to 7 pm, to give us ample time. We have had a lovely relaxing time

Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, enjoy your sunshine. We've had a lot of rain in the night again, and it's dull now. I hope it brightens up later. I always intend to keep something like a lemon drizzle cake or banana bread in the freezer, but I often seem to find my self rushing to make a few scones or something!

Gem, the cottage sounds beautiful and it's very entertaining to watch so many birds on feeders, especially when you're on holiday and have time to enjoy them. You needed this little break and I'm pleased it has worked well for you. Safe journey home.

I'm catching up with washing and making up beds for family who are staying with us next week for my SIL's funeral. I did some food preparation on Saturday, and want to get as much prepared in advance as I can. It's looking like a busy week already - going up to DS1's tomorrow, dog training on Wednesday, we're out on a jolly all day Friday.

Ive just hoovered my bedrooms and dusted they were not really dirty but nice to give them a once over isnt it 😁

We went to the farm shop this morning Bought some Minted lamb chops for tea, a nice small piece of Brisket just enough for two, also a Belly pork joint.
S had Belly pork yesterday for lunch and B really fancied some today 😁then onto Lidl for fresh bread

I slept well last night I got 5 solid hours then sort of dozed on and of for maybe another hour but I still feel tired.
I think a Nana nap after lunch will be on the cards .

Oma, i got the bedrooms done as well.
Cleaned the back windows. it was too sunny do the front ones.
Made 3 pies for the freezer.
The sunshine has been lovely today.
Just after 9 this morning,we had coffee in the garden. There was quite a bit of heat in the sun.

I'm glad some of you have had a lovely sunny day. Honestly I am! It's been dull here all day with showers this afternoon. Nanto, it must have been lovely to have coffee in the garden.

Oma, you will be well stocked up with meat now. It all sounds delicious.

I got several loads of washing done, but not all dried. I did a bit of ironing, but there's more waiting. I took Eva out for a quick walk with our neighbour and her dog. I seem to have been busy all day, with not a lot to show for it. I'm just off to bake something to take up to DS1 and DIL1's tomorrow, and if it's not too late make some soup for the freezer for next week.

We arrived home safely around 5.30. Tesco arrived promptly at 6 so we had that to put away then had a cuppa. We treated ourselves to a Chinese takeaway for tea .
It was so nice today we couldn't tear ourselves away from the seaside until the last minute!

Looks like another nice morning.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning. When he gets back we are going to his sisters, her hubby needs a hand with something in the garden.
On our way home we are going into Icelan, its on their doorstep.
Not sure when we'll get home, so will probably just do a pizza for dinner.

Yes I got a nap but not long been asleep 15 minutes when pharmacy called with my needles , lay down again and Drs rang to say I’m due for another blood tests🙄
So I gave up then,

Im off to have haircut at 9 then need to go for milk and I’m low on washing pods , not desperate for them but I hate running low on anything.

Oma we were at the beach until 3 yesterday, finishing with an ice cream so we were happy I bought some little silver heart shaped earrings at one of the little pod shops there.

Usual Tuesday here. Library and GS1 from school.
Golf for OH on the soggy course.

Oma, I hate running out of anything, I often have a spare of a spare. Sorry you didn’t have that nap, the medics are always chasing you.

Nanto, your OH always is always in demand to help with jobs, do you get a look in? I have never shopped in Iceland, we don’t have one near.

I. Am out all day today, WI then lunch at the golf club with N.Trust group members. My friend had to cancel, she has Covid!, fortunately I haven’t seen her for a week.

Good morning, dry and sunny again, it was lovely yesterday, only, I was indoors most of the time doing the coffee duty.

I have been to the doctor, she things the "spot" is just an age wart but with it being under the edge of my bra it is irritated, so, she is going to remove it next week and they will send it to the lab, she does think it will be clear though, I hope so.

I told her I was still very tired, she asked if there was anything else to cause that, I told her depression! She said " at least you have admitted it"! I do tend to hide things.. I am having my bloods done tomorrow then when I have the appointment next week she will plan on me having therapy in the practise, so will see how that goes.

I am waiting for the friend to come and get the lamp down for me.
