      Good morning, raining again.

I heard about Sainsburys and Tesco having problems.
My vouchers were specifically for Asda. I used to be able to use them on my online shopping, but it looks like this has changed, they had to be used in store.
If I had gone to a manned checkout I know I would have remembered them.

No plans today, will just see how the day pans out.

We had a lovely dinner out yesterday, so I'm only doing chips, egg and beans or peas.

        Good morning.

Nan2 it's annoying when you forget to use vouchers, but at least they have plenty of time left on them.

I'm glad we got out and about yesterday to make the most of the nice weather. Its dull this morning.
We are meeting the Oma's for Sunday lunch. I intend to have a roast
This morning I have sent out the Minutes and reminder of our AGM on Friday so I haven't been entirely lazing about

Gemini, you are on holiday, minutes indeed! Give the Omaโ€™s a hug from me and have a lovely lunch.

After our lovely day yesterday, it is dull and wet this morning. No plans, I will just go with the flow.

LOL, Plant, it was a job I had been meaning to do all week. I wrote the Minutes a long time ago, it was only a matter of writing a short email and attaching them today

Good Sunday morning, everyone. Despite the weather forecast on my phone telling me otherwise, it's raining! Hopefully I can get out in the garden later.

Gem and Oma, have a lovely time and enjoy your lunch. If any of our ears are burning, we'll know why! Have a lovely time - hugs to you all.

Nanto, frustrating about the vouchers. Enjoy your 'go with the flow' day and an easy meal today.

Plant, are you pleased with your new sun room (if you've had a chance to use it). Did the furniture work out ok - you weren't sure to start with, were you.

Oma, it's a law of Nature - it always rains when you've had the car cleaned. Mine got wet last week even before we got home!

                  Morning.
Dug up horse poo yesterday, now itโ€™s too wet to spread it. Even the dog has refused to go out for her usual run. At least we donโ€™t have to go and watch the GCs playing Rugby in the rain today. I feel sorry for DD2. SiL is used to it as an ex player.
Glad to read you all seem to be well.
Iโ€™m deciding whether to go back to bed or have a long bath. Iโ€™m so tired after last nightโ€™s shenanigans. (Another post).
                  Happy Sunday everyone.

I think everybody is getting fed up of the weather.

Grauntie, both! Back to bed then a long bath. I must qualify for the world championship in "bad parents and grandparents" because I am eternally grateful that neither my own sons, nor any of my grandchildren have got the faintest interest in kicking, whacking or chucking any shape ball round a muddy field.

Respect of digging up horse poo! When we had the allotment we used to get it by the trailer load, delivered to the end of our plot for free! But there are rather a lot of horses where we live.

Nanto, a friend called round this morning, and we were saying the same thing. I just hope we get a nice summer to make up for it.

                        Afternoon all.
A lovely lunch with the Gems but it went too quickly we still had loads to chat about ,
We have decided to visit York at some point for a couple of days so will be able to spend more time with them then.
                        Forgot to take a photo.
Must say they are looking well ๐Ÿ˜

It rained all the way home and the traffic on the Metro road due to road widening work is a nightmare.

I wasnโ€™t one to stand watching football DD and SIL did all that ,
We did go to one match that was enough for me ๐Ÿ˜

Nan2 and Daisy. I agree everyone is so tired of all this poor weather.

It was lovely to catch up with the Omas. Good food, nice pub and good company
I feel a bit cheated though as we had to leave earlier than we expected . We appreciate that Sundays are busy and there may be the need to give up the table after a certain time. However, there was no mention of this on my booking confirmation email, or the reminder email I got yesterday, or even when we were shown to our table . So it was a bit of a surprise when we realised we had to pay and leave! We got to see B's posh car

We went to Barter Books in Alnwick and when we came out the sun was shining. We are back at the cottage now and it's dull again.โ€‹โ€‹

Daisy, as OH was an ex Rugby player we used to go to the International matches and stood on the touch line when DS played played for his school and local club. . Nothing nicer to do on a Sat. Than watch a match and finish up in the nearest pub by a roaring fire. We have had a lovely time watching the matches on television.

Gemini, what a shame you had to leave sooner than you would have liked, you certainly should have been told. I would love a bit of sea air, we are 2 hours from the nearest coast.

I had a walk around the garden this afternoon, it was quite warm. The lower part of the garden was quite squelchy. It wasnโ€™t long before I had a fork and took stock of what I need to do soon. I picked some lovely Forsythia and Flowering Currant. It was lovely to get my hands dirty and I was serenaded by a robin in thanks for the food I threw down for him/her. They are so bold, it came quite near, I am sure it was asking for food, I expect they are feeding babies. The blue tits are very active in and out of the bird box.

Gem's and Oma's, glad you had a lovely meet up.

We had a visit from 2 nephews (brothers) this afternoon. They stayed for tea and cake.

After a rainy morning, we got a bit of sunshine in the afternoon.

My worse nighmare would be going to watch a football or rugby match.

Gems and Omas - what a pity you had less time than expected - and it should have been mentioned at some stage. Oma, what a lovely idea to have a couple of days in York.

Oma, your journey home sounds horrible with the rain and the heavy traffic.

Nanto, I think you must have a continuous supply of cake, but I'm sure you enjoyed seeing your nephews.

Plant, I wouldn't mind so much if it was warm and sunny - I used to watch OH play cricket sometimes - but I get very miserable and cranky if I'm wet/cold/absolutely freezing! Nice to be able to spend time outdoors planning garden jobs.

A friend called round for coffee this morning, so I didn't get much done, but after lunch the weather had improved and I thought I'd check up on the plants that are overwintering in the summerhouse. I ended up giving it a tidy up, swept the floor and moved a few plants outside. I'll have to remember to cover them if frost is forecast, but I've now got enough space in the summerhouse for us to sit and have a cuppa on a nice day.
