Luckily the car park is undercover and doors not too far away .

only plans I have today is to clean the doors on my double larder unit in the dinning room , I forgot about them yesterday .

Good Saturday morning, everyone. I had to check the day - I thought it was Sunday!

Nanto, it's very cold to be out shopping if you don't need anything, so a day at home in the warmth is a good idea. Of course, the ironing will keep you warm as well, but I'd rather put another layer on.

Gem, it's it's been a difficult week, but we get through it somehow. It's quite shocking how a low-impact collision can result in so much damage. Is either of the cars electric? I got a hire car within a day when my car was hit by a bus, but that was some years ago. My DS2's car broke down just over a week ago. Long story short, it's not worth repairing. He worked from home for a week, but this week his mum has had to drive him into work and pick him up, which adds to her stress and workload at the moment. They've found a new car which he picks up tomorrow, so hopefully back to work as normal on Monday.

Plant, has your prescription arrived yet? I loved Glamm's sense of style - she always looked fabulous.

Oma, I can't imagine you forgetting a cleaning job! Thank goodness it doesn't involve climbing on work units. Enjoy your lazy afternoon. xx

I've got bedding in the washing machine, and the laundry basket is nearly full. I think the dryer's going to be working overtime today - no sun in the back garden to dry anything, and the wind is bitterly cold.

I was going to carry on catching up with housework this morning, but Eva needed a cuddle! I was only putting her collar on, but she climbed up on my lap and snuggled down while I stroked her tummy. She fell asleep and I didn't like to wake her up, and when it comes to dusting or cuddling Eva, Eva wins every time.

          Morning all

Oma you put me to shame. I did some ironing this morning, first time since before Christmas, just 3 items needed doing.
When I took the iron off the top shelf in the cupboard there was a cobweb on the plug !
But I have washed the floors as well as general tidying up .

We are having soup for lunch today (well I have been busy) 😄

Poor Glamm she was over whelmed with medical problems in the end . Its so sad.

Not so cold here today, just bracing ourselves for gales and rain

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

No I have not received my prescription, DD and I are going to the hospital on Monday to collect it and have it made up. I have had the procedure before both down the throat and up the ………

DD and Sil are going away Tuesday and GD will then move in to get me to the hospital and collect me. They are staying whilst DD is away. DS and Dil are away too.

Oma you can have a rest, do your puzzles and watch a bit of television.

Mimi, seems a shame to disturb the spider.

Daisy that is a lovely relationship you have with your Eva. I am sure she enjoyed her cuddles.

Its strange not going out on a saturday.
After doing my jobs i went into the garage,to see if i could give hubby a hand.
I got sent out,as i kept picking things up saying oh these are no good.
Hubby kept saying, leave those i might need them.
Apparently,he didn't intend throwing anything out, he just wanted to tidy things up.

Thank Oma. I was going to post that here if you weren't about.

Nan2 it is strange not doing something you normally do on a certain day .

Daisy cuddling our pets should always come before any housework.

DD was concerned about her car possibly still being in the car park at Tesco so I volunteered to drive over and check. It was so I put a photo on the family WhatsApp group. The general consensus, including mine, was that it looked drivable as it was only a couple of miles.
So I went for DD and drove her to her car. It started ok so off she went. A few minutes later she phoned me to say she wasn't happy with it so had pulled into another car park. Sadly I had just passed the entrance when she called so had to go right round the big busy roundabout to her. I was going to take her home when OH turned up. She had a look and drove it around the car park and declared it ok to drive. DD went a longer way home via quieter roads and OH followed her just in case. At least her car is safe on her drive now.

This afternoon we played Cat Monopoly. A Christmas present I had asked for. I hate Monopoly and OH loves it so this is my attempt to make it more interesting

S to the rescue Gem .
B did the same with GSs car and managed to get Nehews car to the side of the road when he had the bump with the bus.
S&B are confident experienced drivers they know what they are doing .
Did she inform Tesco of the bump otherwise the parking people will ticket her , you know what these people are like .x

Oma, yes she told Tesco, but was expecting the car to be collected yesterday ( I'm not sure what's going on there)
Then today she informed the gym whose car park she next ended up in. Luckily the car wasn't there long!

Gem, what a worry for DD. I'm glad it was driveable and she eventually got it home safely with help from you and S. GS2 ended up leaving is car in a gym car park when it broke down last week. He was ok though, as he's a member there and the garage was just up the road. Sadly, the car was beyond repair, but it had served well - both GSs learned to drive in it. I haven never heard of Cat Monopoly, but I'm sure it was more fun than the standard version, even if you didn't win.

Oma, many thanks for the updates about Glamm.

Nanto, I'm sure our OH's came from the same mould - that's just what my OH would say.

Plant, I hope everything goes smoothly from now on. It's lovely your GD can move in to take care of you while your DD and DS are away. Eva is funny - in a morning I'm definitely her favourite human, but in the evening she always goes to OH. We can't decide whether she's fickle or fair!

According to the weather forecast it's a batten down the hatches kind of day. Strong winds and heavy rain, maybe tonight.

Gem, glad DD managed to get her car home.

No plans here for today, will just take the day as it comes.

Dinner will be something with fish, we seem to have had a lot of meat this week.

Good morning Nan2, good morning ladies.

Daisy, Eva is just spreading her love between you both

We are eating out at the lovely Chinese restaurant in the village with a friend tonight, so no cooking. It a small place, run by a Chinese family and the food and the welcome has always been perfect.

It looks like a wet and windy day so we will probably just stay put until then as we have no plans.
