I love lasagne, anything with white sauce. You are lucky Oma having a man to cook you lovely tasty food. My OH could only manage Ryvita and cheese although he did make a lovely Simnel cake.
They keep forecasting dull weather but we have and have sunshine. The blue tits are busy in and out of the nesting box. I will have to sign out I have jagged vision, it will go soon.

I am one lucky G’ma, I saw my No3 GS (the one you met) last evening and today I will see my No2GS (physio) he is coming to help his brother with a birthday treat for GGS, his birthday is very near to when the new baby should arrive so they are having his party activity today. H and GD are here, we have just had lunch and I hope to be watching some Rugby. I heard last evening that GD2 and her partner have put a deposit down on the house they want to buy, the vendors have decided to go with them. They are so excited, I hope it goes though okay, they already have their mortgage agreed.
Lizzie, where do you think the parcels disappear to, surely not a thief?
Oma, home-made Lasagne, lovely, so much better than the bought version. Budge up Daisy make room for me.
Nanto, I hope the news is good about the car.
Gemini, enjoy your day off, put a sign on the door. Is S getting some golf days now.

Plant, they put them in the wrong letterbox, wrong block, street etc, I certainly won't go ringing all the bells, they will have to sort it out now. There are a lot of elderly here in the block , they hardly ever use their letter boxes, so, no idea where my parcel could be. I have reported it and got a case number so it should be sorted out!
Plant, I had to smile at the Ryvita and cheese comment. My OH has got quite useful at putting out ingredients for a ploughman's for people to help themselves. Cooking it is not, but at least people get fed. How exciting that GD2 and her partner are going ahead with buying the house they liked. The vendors have probably recognised that they are genuine buyers with all their finances sorted out. I hope GGS enjoys his early birthday. Are your eyes ok now? Is it a silent migraine where you get flashing lights or sparkles etc but no headache? xx
Lizzie, how annoying that parcels get put in the wrong letter boxes. I hope it's nothing you wanted urgently. It's windy and showery and sunny here - I wish it would settle down to being a sunny day.
At the beginning of the week I cut back my Hydrangea Annabelle but didn't have time to chop the cuttings up for the compost bin, so I've done that today. The washing machine's churning away and I'm trying to decide what to cook for dinner. No inspiration or energy.

Daisy, I recommend something quick and easy for tea, or a takeaway!
Nice family time for you Plant
A nice lazy day here. I popped across to M&S food hall (which was manic) I bought 16 muffins as my contribution tomorrow and a chicken and mushroom pie for our tea tonight.
I have watched a few episodes of series 2 of Australian Traitors which I am into atm! OH and I played a couple of games of Skip Bo this afternoon and that has been it! No one turned up which we were glad about!

Gem, I had some chicken that needed using up, so I put it in a casserole with onions, peppers, tinned lentils, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and green beans and a few spices. So it cooked itself and I just fried some pak choi to serve with it. There are two portions left to freeze as well! I'm glad you've had a nice lazy day - I think you needed it. I sometimes feel relieved if the doorbell has remained silent for a whole day.
Nanto, good news that the car passed. I was thinking that there are so many villages these days with nothing more than a (very useful) corner shop. We're lucky because it's a holiday destination village we've got quite a lot of shops, but more and more of them seem to becoming cafes, bistros and gift-type shops.
Oma, it sounds as though you've had a miserable day of bad weather. I hope tomorrow's better. x
Plant, did you watch the rugby? I didn't but I've seen the score. Are your eyes ok now? x

No plans for today.
DS2 called on his way to work last night and brought a card.
I think DS1 will call later. He might stay for dinner.
I told both of them not to buy me anything but they don't listen.
Pork fillet going in the slow cooker. I'll do roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, veg and gravy with it.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Its belting down with rain hasn’t stopped for two days now.
We are meeting DD&SIL & friends for Mother’s Day Breakfast.
I then intend doing nothing ,
I have done a dark wash and now the towels are in but I won’t iron today as I usually do I will have today for myself 😁
Have a good day ladies ,
Gem
I bet SIL will be too tired but you never know 😁
Nanto
I think DS would jump at the chance of lunch 😁
I had forgotten it was Mothers Day, wondered why my son handed me a card on Friday. DD has just popped in with a card and a beautiful Orchid and invited me to lunch. What an amazing Rugby match, well done England.
Oma, nothing sounds good, enjoy your breakfast. My GGS1 will be 7 a week before the baby is due. They had a lovely party. His father my eldest GS is quite reserved but GGS’s uncle GS2 is more than happy to act the fool. He will be here for lunch before returning to London. GD2, her OH and H will also be here for lunch. My Sil will be very hands on.
Lizzie, I hope your parcel turns up soon. Do the company just write off the missing parcel?
Nanto, Pork fillet sounds yummy, I am sure DS1 will pull up a chair at the table.
Gemini, Enjoy your family lunch, sounds like a crowd.

Daisy, I did watch the rugby, wasn’t it exciting. I think the jagged light I get in my eye is probably because I need new glasses and I suspect the cataract I have in my left eye is getting worse. I am due for an eye test in a couple of months. Not fun getting old as they say.
