Good morning, a lovely morning but blowing a gale! GD1 is coming for lunch, she just phoned me to tell me it is difficult on the bike! It is as well.

Gem, that is what we learn at the fall prevention, nothing on the floor to fall over in the first place! There are people from an organisation that will come to the house to warn about loose rugs etc etc. Not much help to you now though, poor you, you will be black and blue in a few days time.

I hope the ceiling soon dries out and that you are back to normal. Water does manage to creep everywhere.

Daisy, enjoy your relaxing day! I hope the dismantling of the greenhouse goes as planned.

Oma, you and DD will be smart after the visit to the hairdressers, I had mine cut the other day as well.

Nanto, you certainly keep visitors happy with your baking. Your SIL sounds very much like one I have, mind you, that lady I go to the pool with even wins it from her, whatever I start off to say, she has done it, had it.

GS1 almost here, she just phoned to say she would be here any minute now.

Lizzie, enjoy your lunch with GD
The bit of carpet was some cut up from under the wardrobe we had to take up due to the leaking water pipe. OH left it in the kitchen to be put outside today .
I am pretty good at avoiding leaving trip hazards, having had to do so for both dad and mum for many years. OH not so much

Ooops Gem, glad you didn't damage your new knee.

I haven't watched The Traitors, seen it advertised though.

The rain stopped earlier and the wind calmed down. Sun is shining.

Made 2 fruit loaves in the air fryer this morning. I think we will have some with a cuppa.

              Nanto, fruit loaves, yummy.

Gemini, so pleased you didn’t damage anything vital in that fall.

Oma, love the hair, you are brave.

Been out this morning with GD and H to an indoor trampolining for children and had lunch at the golf course on the way back. Having a bit of a quiet time now.

Daisy we moved a greenhouse from a neighbours house, re-erected it in our garden, not long after a gale blew it down and we got a new one from the insurance. Good luck with DS’s one.

                Afternoon all.

Gem how are you after tripping up on the roll of carpet
I'm looking forward to the last episode of Tratiors tonight.

Daisy how did the dismantling of the greenhouse go. Today I peered into our grow house to see how the over wintering plants are and at the moment they are all looking in a healthy condition. It's got me looking forward for spring and starting doing things in the garden again.
I must remind myself that it is still only January and we most certainly have some more winter weather to contend with

Today we had Tesco delivery and then we went to the pharmacy to collect our repeat prescriptions OH's hadn't been done so we said we would collect it Monday.
Came home, made a cup of tea and would you believe it , I had a text message saying prescription was ready to collect!

Oma love the colours of yours and DD's hair. I've an appointment for hair dresser on Tuesday but only for a cut

Lizzie we had strong winds and rain in the night but today has been sunny with just the right amount of breeze to dry the washing.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma, I have just seen the photo of you both, looking very smart!

The wind has suddenly dropped, GD1 struggled to get here, so she said! It is calm now but it was windy when she left so that was back wind for her. She has joined a new gym, she has been going to one a few years really, one with no instructors etc, you work from video's on the screens, now she is going to one similar to the one I go to. Her friend is going as well so they will enjoy it. She has a personal trainer this evening to show her all she can do etc so she was looking forward to going.

We had a good lunch then had a walk to the shops, in-between time I sorted her oyster card out for her, hers had snapped in 2 then on the way here she managed to lose it! We have blocked her old one and ordered a replacement, plus, she now has acces to her own account so should be able to arrange it all herself in the future. She has taken a card holder to keep her card safe in the future, I knew where I had one so said she could have it, she said " you are so arranged nan!"

She and a friend are busy looking for a holiday in May, either Spain or Greece they fancy.

Gem, you were lucky you didn't break anything when you fell, one of the ladies at the pool was telling us that a lady out of their walking group fell in the supermarket,, broke her hip and her shoulder. Then a man from the pool fell in his own home and broke his hip. It soon happens.

It's almost 24 hours since I fell in the kitchen and boy is everything sore now! I walked from the car to school fine though so I think my knee is OK. I think it will be a couple more days at least until I am out of pain.

Very good final episode of The Traitors, but not the outcome I was hoping for.

                      Good morning.

Gem, hope you feel less sore soon.

Lizzie, hip damage can easily happen. We need to take more care as we get older.

Oma, just seen the photo, both of you looking very smart.

We are going into town this morning, not going for anything special but hubby NEEDS something.
                      We will eat out.

Not sure what the weather forecast is for today, I haven't checked it out.

                        Good morning everyone .

Enjoy shopping and eating out Nan2.

I suspect people who break hips etc when falling have a lot less padding than I do Lizzie My mum broke hers on carpet in the care home, but there was nothing on her.

Nothing planned today here apart from going round to friends for a meal this evening. One of the friends is a nurse so I shall be getting her input on my injuries!

                        Happy Saturday everyone.

                          Good Saturday morning, everyone.

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning, but it's cold and frosty. What a change from yesterday when it was quite mild.

Gem, I'm sorry you're in such a lot of pain, but so thankful you knee seems to be ok. Enjoy your evening out at your friends. I watched the last half hour of The Traitors and wish I'd watched the whole series now!

Nanto, enjoy your shopping, even if you don't buy anything! I hope it's warmer there than here today!

Oma, I didn't have chance to comment on your and your DD's new hairdos - I really like both of them. What did B think?

Lizzie, you are a Gran in a million - usually it's the GCs sorting out the grand parents' tech stuff. I hope your GD gets her holiday booked ok.

Mimi, your plants in your grow house sound great. I must check our tender plants in the summerhouse. They are covered with fleece as well, but that very cold spell might have been too much for them. At least you got your prescription eventually. I keep reading about shortages of various meds, and it must be such a worry if it's something you depend on.

OH and DS2 got the greenhouse dismantled ok. The owner had kindly taken the roof glass out for them, but two sides were difficult because there wasn't room to get round the outside. But they got it done before it went dark, and were lucky with the weather. When they got to the base they found there was an aluminium frame with long spikes at the corners to keep it in the ground. That was a bonus because it will make a steady base when they come to rebuild it.

I spent the day at DS2's with the dogs, and was there when GD2 got home from school. I hadn't seen her since her birthday at Christmas, so she had a lot to catch up on!

I've got washing on, and will do some baking, and maybe make some soup. DS1 and DIL1 are coming for lunch tomorrow - I'll do a roast.

                            Good morning each.
Have been reading back a few days. You have all been busy it seems. Too much to mention but glad you are all still standing!
Big frost here this morning, but the sun is shining and the tide is low so I will take Bess to the beach, her favourite walk.
Out tonight for dinner and the theatre, the show is titled ‘The Crooners’, so some good music I hope.
Nanto2, I see you make fruit loaf in the air fryer, I haven’t tried to bake anything yet, so I’ll look that one up.
Plenty to do here today, but a good book calls. 😁 There is always tomorrow.
                            Enjoy the weekend ladies.

Grauntie, our posts crossed. The frost isn't so bad if you have sunshine as well. Enjoy your walk on the beach. Does Bess go in the sea? The theatre sounds interesting - let us know what the show's like, won't you?

Gemini, you must be feeling bruised and sore after that fall, good job your knee is still okay.

Sunny and very frosty here, not much planned today. We have to go back to where GD is now living to drop off some keys for their landlord who is returning from holiday today. We had a very busy day yesterday so hoping for a quieter day today.

Nanto, enjoy your trip out, wonder what your OH is going to look for, is it a secret?
