    Good morning ladies.

Daisy and Oma - I have a big bruise on my left thigh but the worst pain is from my arms and chest from muscles etc being pulled in the fall. It's improving but slowly. I hope to go to aquafit tomorrow, but may have to go easy on some of the arm and shoulder exercises!

Library for me this morning, GS1 from school this afternoon.

    Have a good day everyone.

Just been tracking DD, they are at Malaga airport, we don’t expect them back until about 2pm. GD wants to have a tidy up before they get back. The meal planning has been the most difficult thing. They are vegetarians and there seems to be so many other things they don’t like. H has fallen in love with my shower.

Gemini, I hope the soreness and the bruising goes soon. Don’t overdo it at Aqua.

Oma, Good to hear your diabetic readings are good. I like Lindt chocolate, not sure about the sausage.

It would be nice to get some old friends back posting.

        Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

It's dry here and not too cold, but very dull and dreary.

Nanto, the exotic bird in your graphic reminds me of a bird in a children's programme I used to watch with one of our GDs. It's annoying me that I can't remember its name!

Gem, you must have hurt yourself badly when you fell. Perhaps a bit of exercise at Aqua will help ease some of the aches. Enjoy the library this morning. Is GS1 coming for his tea?

Oma, your German dishes sound very tasty, so I think I would have been disappointed with a substitute that didn't work as well. B does love his Lindt, doesn't he.

Plant, I hope your DD and SIL have a good flight back. Have you decided on a meal? If you're undecided a Red Lentil Dhal is tasty, veggie, very easy to cook and can be done in advance and reheated. H will want a shower every time she comes to see you.

No particular plans for me today. No doubt Eva will want a good walk later on.

Daisy, yes GS will stay for tea. I may be taking him to his youth club at 5 30. I will find out when I see him.

Library was fairly busy and my shoulder is a bit sore after it!
I treated myself to lunch in the cafe afterwards. With my 40% discount I should do that more often!
It's a lovely sunny day here

GD and H have left, they need to get settled back home. Between us we have cleaned next door ready for the arrival of DD and Sil, I expect they will come here tomorrow to see everyone.
GD2 said she might be coming as her partner is going ski-ing. Never a dull moment here.

Plant, i bet you will miss H.

We were able to deliver the birthday present.

Yes Gem, you should treat yourself more often.

Ahhha! I've remembered. It was a character called Loon in a programme called "Humf".

Gem, your poor shoulder. Are you using heat/ice packs on it? I hope you're ok driving (from a pain point of view, I means). I think you've earned lunch in the cafe, with or without the discount. Has S been playing golf today?

Plant, how on earth do you keep up with all your family! It's fabulous that they all come and visit so often, but as you say, there's never a dull moment. I hope H settles down at home again ok. I'm sure she will miss you - and your shower, bless her.

Nanto, good that the birthday present is there in plenty of time.

It's stayed dry all day, and I was surprised how dry our grass verges are - although there's still plenty of standing water on the Forest. Eva enjoyed her walk - not quite as far as she wanted but I hurt my knee just before Christmas and it was aching today.

I have been using ice and heat Daisy. Both seem to help in their own way.
Look after your knee. Rest, ice and elevation are recommended!

No golf for OH as the course is closed again. The rivers around here are very high indeed. I should have invited OH to join me for lunch but only later did I remember she wasn't at the golf club as she usually is on my library day!
No youth club for GS but he seemed happy here. We are going to meet his mum from work for tea next Tuesday.

Gem, I bet GS1 will look forward to meeting his Mum from work next week and taking her out to tea. S must be pretty fed up with the golf course being closed again. There's a very expensive golf course near here (not where I meet college friends) which was always getting waterlogged. Some years ago they spent a fortune putting drainage in, and now with the wetter winters it's just as bad as ever. I think I'd be very fed up if I was a member there.

Oma, funnily enough my knee's usually ok walking, and I'd have to drive some distance to find a hill round here, so I don't know why it was aching today.

Plant are DD and SIL safely home? I hope they've had a good holiday.

Good morning, we had a lovely sunrise earlier.

Gem, OH must be getting fed up of the weather, with it closing the golf course.

Daisy, hope the knee is less achey today.

No plans here, except nipping to the post office which is only 2 short streets away.

Dinner is homemade chips, cod in batter, courtesy of captain Birds Eye and mushy peas.

                              Good morning everyone.

We had that beautiful sunset too Nan2.

How is your knee today Daisy?

Aqua this morning. I will just have to avoid or modify some of the upper body exercises I think.
This afternoon OH are going into town. We are going to Betty's for lunch! You may remember we were given a generous amount of vouchers by our neighbours for looking after their cats and house for 7 weeks.
                              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, it is still very dull, may brighten up later in the day.

I went to the design warehouse yesterday, I usually go once a year for a look round, fantastic furniture, etc etc with the fantastic prices to go with them! I took the lady from the first floor that goes to the pool with us, she is originally from Persia and had to flee Iran 25 years ago, her DH is very handy and repairs the girls bikes etc. She did enjoy looking round, she must have thanked me 10 times for asking her to go! I got 2 nice sea grass cushions for on my bed, they were 70% reduced.

Gem, I hope that your aches and pains are over and Daisy that your knee is now less painful. I went to aqua on Monday and was actually stiff yesterday morning, after all the exercise I do!! I don't do those exercises daily though, he is very active and we really do move. Then I went to do coffee etc on Monday evening for meeting the people had so I did have a busy day. Oh, in the meantime I picked DIL1 up to take her to the garage for her car, DS1 is in the UK and she said she would use the metro, I told her I would pick her up, she doesn't like to think it is too much for me but in the end she accepted the offer.

Nanto. I am sure you both will find something to do today!

Oma, I had sauerkraut last night with a very tasty meat ball that my neighbour brought me, it made a tasty meal.
