Daisy, there is a lot of training for the deep tissue massage. It's also called sports massage but she has as many none sporty clients as sporty ones. It's not for pleasure like the lovely scented oils and calming music ones. These are therapeutic and they need to work hard to get deep into the problem areas. It can be very painful but should never be more than you can stand
They have to have an extensive knowledge of the muscular skeletal system and often suggest exercises for you to do at home to help the condition. She is far more help to me than any physio has been. She was my saviour earlier this year when I had the debilitating sciatica. She is always booked up a couple of months ahead so you need to get your dates in!

I'm so sorry you are struggling with your knee Daisy

Daisy, hope the knee improves quickly.

Gem, hope the baby hasn't got the same cold as we have just had.
Hubby fully recovered now,i'm still having to keep blowing my nose, fed up of it now.
How is OH getting on with the new hearing aids.

We are going into town today. just need a few bits and have a good browse.
Also going to the new M&S on the edge of town. Its just a food hall now.
Its strange in town now to see the old shop closed. I was never a fan of their clothes though.
While we are there we'll go into The Range and Home Bargains.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

          Good morning ladies.

Nan2 ,I love The Range and Home Bargains. The last cold we had hung on for ages. I know how you feel.

For those who have asked about the new hearing aids, they are going well. OH can hear things she could never hear before. Via Bluetooth her phone rings into her aids and she just taps her ear to take the call! No fiddly batteries to change either, the whole unit charges overnight. It took me long enough to get her to spend money on better ones, I hope they are a success!

This afternoon I am going to visit friend and ex neighbour T. To take his Christmas card and have coffee and chat. I may invite him over here between Christmas and New Year, or we may go to the cinema. We are both Disney fans and there is a new film

This morning I want to go into the village to my favourite shop there as I need an extra present for DD2. I will see if OH wants to come with me then we can go for coffee.

          Happy Saturday everyone.

            Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it's horrible when colds hang around like that. I hope you shake it off soon. Enjoy your shopping trip. It must be strange seeing the old M&S closed down. I think M&S clothes are nowhere near as good as they used to be. They don't seem to know what kind of customer they want to provide for.

Gem, I'm so pleased S is happy with the new hearing aids. It sounds as though she's adapted to them very quickly, and being able to answer your phone just by tapping an ear sounds incredible. I'm trying to persuade OH to upgrade his as he doesn't realise he misses a lot of what is said to him, and as for the TV!! I'm sure next door can hear it sometimes.

It's dry but chilly here, and I'm taking Eva on a group walk this afternoon. Our trainer organises them and it's a great opportunity to walk with other dogs (at a comfortable distance) and enjoy the Forest.

              Morning everyone

              Daisy
Hope you and Eva enjoy your walk , it’s nice for Eva to socialise with the dogs outside of the classroom ,
Is it a long walk ?

              Gem
S’s aids sound just what she needs they have came a long way since the ear trumpets , although when B hasn’t got his in we could do with a couple of those 😁
Hope T is well when you visit xx

              Nanto
I think all town high streets are the same now it’s sad but a sign of the times ,
I remember my parents complaining when the old arcades closed and the city centre opened up
They thought it was the death of the town at the time , they didn’t think it would take off .

We off to our shopping mall early for a few things then DD walking over with Storm so I better get a move on x

Thought I had posted this about 8.30 but forgot to press post reply 😳😁

I thought I was the only one to forget to press Post Oma.

Lovely surprise today, GD2 walked in from next door, she is here until after Christmas. Although they haven’t finished the filming of the next programme she is employed, they will not be paying her for three weeks and her partner is visiting his family in Yorkshire and now has Covid, she decided to come home. I will get her to put my tree up.

Oma, spoiling Storm again, and why not.

Gemini, those hearing aids S has sound amazing.

Plant what lovely surprise to see GD. Good idea to get her to put up your Christmas tree.

That dog is well fed Oma

Did the group walk go well Daisy?

I decided not to go into the village this morning, I may go on Monday before I go out for lunch. T wasn't too good, he needs surgery for arteries in his leg which are severely limiting his mobility. I don't know what the hold up is.
He had however put up and decorated his 5 foot tree, and put tinsel on pictures, his Christmas ornaments out and cards up, so he's not doing too badly!
I said I will be in touch to bring him here for a change of scene soon.

Daisy, hope you and Eva enjoyed the walk.

It was a good day in town today. quite mild, sunshine and no wind.

Oma, that dog is SO spoilt! . I hope DD, J and L got all their shopping done.

Plant, what a lovely surprise to see your GD2 - and I'm sure she was only too pleased to help with your Christmas tree.

Nanto, what a pleasure to have a mild day with some sun thrown in for good luck.

Gem, poor T having to wait for what sound like urgent surgery. I hope his mobility doesn't deteriorate any more while he's waiting. Can you still choose a different hospital to be treated in if you can find one with shorter waiting times? There seems so much variation from place to place. OH's oldest sister and her husband have just moved down here to be nearer to their two DDs. BIL had been waiting 18 months for cataract surgery. They've been here one month and he had the operation yesterday.

Eva and I enjoyed our walk this afternoon. It was a bit chilly - when I left here it was 11/12C, no wind and a bit of sun. We got to the meeting place and it was blowing a gale and trying to rain. I was glad I'd taken Eva's fleece, and a scarf and windproof coat for me. It was a little different from our usual walk. A lot of the regulars were absent but a mother and daughter who have got a lot of dogs between them brought 6 of them today. Eva has been in class with one of them, but it was a long time ago and I'm not sure if she picked out that dog as someone she knew. But her best mate from class was there and they walked well together, even sharing a sniff at one point. We did a few little detours to avoid the very inquisitive and bad tempered Shetland ponies. They look cute, but you can't trust them! I suppose we walked about 3-4 km in all.

By the time I got home OH had put up the Christmas tree and put the lights on. I'll finish the decorations tomorrow.

Good Sunday morning everyone. It's dry and not too cold here, so far.

Nanto, enjoy your go with the flow day. Do you make your own pancakes?

Oma, happy anniversary to your sister. I'm sure she loves it that you remember. You're right, the ponies can be temperamental. It's mainly because people pet and feed them (which is now illegal in the Forest) so they hang round and get aggressive when they don't get fed! Locals are forever saying to be careful - they bite at one end and kick at the other, but mostly visitors jut get narky and abusive. What they don't realise is that aggressive ponies can be ordered off the Forest and you can imagine how they end up when they can't be grazed.

It's Christmas decorations for us today - and a bit of housework first.

                              Have a good day everyone.

I think this is the third day with no rain!!!

                                I like the graphic Nan2.

It sounds as though Eva did really well yesterday Daisy. I bet she looks cute in her fleece coat.

Oma I think DD and baby are on the mend . I'll text her later.

This morning we are going to take my sister's Christmas presents over.
Friends are calling in at some point this afternoon. Tonight with 6 friends we are going for a Christmas meal at a local pub. It's about 10 minutes walk. I will have to take my stick as I wouldn't like to walk that far without.

                                I hope everyone is well.
