      Good morning everyone.

      Beautiful graphic Nan2.

      That tree looks lovely Lizzie.

Daisy that all sounds very frustrating.

Raining here as well Oma. When it's not raining at the moment we are amazed!

Library this morning. GS1 from school this afternoon. I am dropping him at his club at 6.30 instead of 5.30 this week. They are all going to one of the local pantos and DD will pick him up at 10pm

Daisy, what a frustrating time you are having, I hope the hood can be fixed.

Gemini, that was a very long and frustrating journey for you. You are very busy with your GC atm. I hope GS1 enjoys the panto visit.

It has been raining a lot overnight, notice on FB to say some roads are flooded, not too bad for us if we stay on the hill. I have a sort of Christmas Party with my GGuiding friends this afternoon. This morning I have an appt. At the surgery to have a blood test to check my blood is okay to have an injection next week.
Must get showered and dressed now, will pop back later.

          Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

It's back to rain, rain, rain here, and dark. Not much fun.

Gem, you are having a busy time - how is your knee coping? Are you sleeping better now? I hope GS1 enjoys the panto.

Plant, I haven't checked this morning, but I expect we have got floods as well. I hope y ou can get to. your appointment at the surgery ok. Enjoy your afternoon with your Guiding friends.

Nanto, I bet that braising steak will be lovely and tender.

Oma, it sounds as though you are coping with the injections very well. Are you feeling better in general? It looks like a day to stay in and relax.

The car bonnet got fixed last night, thank goodness and OH repaired the tap, so that is ok now. I'm now trying to catch up with the washing, but certainly no chance of drying it outside - in fact I think it would all get washed outside if I put it on the line - it's pouring down.

I fancy making some mince pies this afternoon - 'tis the season!

I hope the party is enjoyable Plant.

Daisy I seem to have a good knee night followed by a bad one. I was OK at the library this morning, pacing myself with plenty of sitting down. The most painful bit was the bend on my knee to get into the car. I need to continue getting in bottom first and swinging my legs round for a bit longer I think !
Golf course is still closed. Today should be the Christmas jumper competition. They have gone to the clubhouse for the Christmas cake drink they have after the competition. There is a craft fair too.

Gem, some good nights is a big improvement, but it will be better when your knee stops disturbing you completely. I bet S and her fellow golfers are disappointed about the Christmas jumper competition being cancelled, but at least they will enjoy Christmas cake and a drink in the dry.

What panto is GS1 going to see - is it the same you that you are going to as a family?

Daisy, we are going to the Grand Opera House in York.
Tonight GS is going to see Cinderella at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. A lovely little theatre which hosts amateur productions.
All my 3 DD's took part in many dance shows there and I have spent many happy hours backstage as a helper mum!

                  Gem
I Hope GS has a lovely time at the Panto .
getting in and out of the car is a pain when your knee is sore isn’t it , you must remember bum first 😁
Poor S no golf for so long must be frustrating.

Hope your bloods are good and you can get your injections,
                  Enjoy your party .

We popped to our small Morrisons this morning but apart from that I’ve sat around with my puzzle book and now having a potter on my iPad ,
Its dark and wet and a day you can’t find any enthusiasm to do anything or go anywhere.

Its been a dark and miserable day here as well Oma.

Lizzie, forgot to say the tree looks lovely.

Daisy, glad the tap and car bonnet are both fixed.
The braising steak was lovely, melted in your mouth.

I washed a load of towels this morning, but couldn't put them out.

Good morning, it was dark and dismal all day yesterday with very heavy showers in the afternoon, I went to have my hair cut, luckily I went in the car, my hair is short now, longer is fine but with being on the bike etc I end up looking like a scarecrow.

Do you do the steak in the air fryer Nanto, I am still getting used to mine.

I want to do some shopping before I go to the circuit training, I have 2 friends coming tomorrow for lunch, I have maybe mentioned this before, when I came to live here, 54 years ago this Christmas, we moved in with a cousin of my ex, it was his boss at the time, they had 5 children and took us in!!! One of the boys had to leave his room to let us stay there, he was 10 years old at the time, he is now 64! He is coming with his sister, they were such a help to me, I don't know how I would have settled without them, the eldest brother died a few years ago, sad!

Gem, it amazes me that you don't still get physio, I am seeing mine next week as my knee needs help now and again.

Lizzie, lovely to have a meal with those who helped you all those years ago.
The braising steak and onions i did yesterday were done in the slow cooker.
I think its trial and error getting used to the air fryer, but i'm happy with mine.

Nothing happening here today, just the usual kind of day.
Easy dinner today, i took a beef and veg pie out of the freezer yesterday.

I've done the advent calendar.Apologies if i have gone out of turn.

                          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, thanks for doing the Advent calendar. I'm loving all the pictures.

Lizzie, does your physio actively do anything? Mine just gave me me exercises to do, measured degrees of bend and straightness, observed walk and advised. And I was a private patient! I know of NHS patients who don't see any all for the first 3 weeks.

Aquafit this morning. This will be my last of the year as I'm not going next week. I won't be staying for coffee as I need to get back and ready to go into town for lunch. I'd rather not be going into town but the friend I am meeting doesn't drive . I will avoid the Christmas market!

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's not raining, but it doesn't look very good out there - it's not even properly light yet.

Nanto, you've really set me up for wanting braising steak, with lovely dark rich gravy, mashed potatoes and plenty of veggies. It's whoever gets to the Advent calendar first, so thank you for doing it today. x

Lizzie, you must have a lot of memories shared with the visitors who are coming for lunch tomorrow. I bet they look forward to seeing you as much as you're looking forward to seeing them. It sounds as though you have easier access to physiotherapy than we do here. I think we must have a permanent shortage of them.

Oma, it's great the injections are making you feel better. I bet B laughed his socks off - naughty man.

Gem, The Joseph Rowntree theatre sounds lovely and you must feel totally at home there after all those years of your DDs dancing there. Everywhere needs somewhere like that for small or amateur productions. We're lucky enough to have several places that stage amateur productions and concerts - including a little cinema that also does live screenings, mostly run by volunteers.

It's the usual Wednesday at Daisy Towers! OH and pals are working on the kit car. OH made a list the other day of all the jobs that still need to be done before it can go for testing - 37 items long. I don't think it will be finished before Christmas! Dog training for me and Eva. We haven't done our homework this week.

Gem, you posted while I was typing. It's a proper social whirl for you at the moment, but enjoy your Aquafit and your lunch. Do you take the bus into town or do you drive?

Sounds like it will be after Christmas before the car can be tested ,
What will they do when it’s all done , will they start endother ?

Im not a lover of steak but I do love braised steak in the slow cooker with sliced potatoes onions and lovely rich gravy mmmm😁 Tastes completely different cooked that way.

We don’t have Storm today so we went to Aldi instead of tomorrow as I’m having my hair done in the morning.
Im walking a bit slow and doddery today I twisted my back getting at a shelf under the stairs to get something out
                                This morning,
