        Good morning.

Daisy, how disappointing not to have the girls.

        Hope Glamma feels better soon.

It's been foggy again, but clearing a bit now.

We are going to the farm shop then on to the garden centre. No cooking again for me today.
We enjoyed our fish and chips yesterday.

          Good morning ladies.

Good for you Nan2 - someone else cooking can't be bad

I had a better nights sleep, and no after effects of the covid jab.
Not sure we have any plans today.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. Sorry I didn't get back here yesterday.

It's dark and wet here - very dreary.

Hopefully GD2 is ok this morning and if so I am going over to fetch them in an hour or so. We can't do what we planned yesterday because OH is going on a course this morning to learn how to use one of the defibrillators in the village. But with the weather so horrible we can find things to do indoors. OH says he'll bring pumpkins back with him so we can all carve them this afternoon.

Gem, I'm sure having a good night's sleep will make you feel much better.

Nanto - you could get used to eating out. Lovely to have a couple of days away from the kitchen.

I hope Glamm is feeling better. xxx

Good morning, I hope you get to have your DD's today Daisy. It is dull and drizzly here, I am deciding on a bike ride for eggs etc.

I also hope Glamm is feeling better and will soon be home.

You will feel better after a good nights sleep Gem.

My neighbour had a blocked kitchen drain yesterday, she did say on Thursday then I saw my neighbour going backwards and forwards whilst I was doing the kitchen cupboards, he managed to get it done for her with new pipes etc, our housing is only available for emergencies on a Friday and this wasn't classed as one. I have just done mine with soda and cleaning vinegar, I do it once a week.

Nanto, enjoy your meal at the farm shop.

I like soda and vinegar for the drains too and it counteracts drain smells .
Hope you don’t get too wet going for eggs x

                Nanto
Nice to not have to cook , enjoy your lunch out

I was up very early this morning so the house has been given a good thorough clean from top to bottom ,
Only thing I haven’t done is wash the floors ,
I will leave them till later as DD will be bringing Storm and his wet paws 😁

B has done the hoovering and emptied the bin and recycle bin,
Beds are stripped first lot in the washer , once they are done that’s me finished for the day.

Lizzie, that's a good tip to use those things in the drain regularly to avoid problems!

Gosh Oma, you and B are like white tornadoes in the morning

                  Happy pumpkin carving Daisy!

OH is at the golf club. One of her roles there is helping the new members .Today is a meeting in the clubhouse to explain the complicated rules of scoring and handicap
She's feeling a bit rough from yesterdays jab but said she was Ok to go.

Had a lovely hour or so with H. Her mum and dad came to fetch her and spent the time in with me, time for G.parents to have a rest.

Going to DS tomorrow for my party, then off to Normandy at 5am the next day.

So sorry Glamm to hear you are poorly, hope you will feel better soon. How is your daughter?

Goodness Oma, you are making me feel guilty and tired. Although I don’t do much if any cleaning now, I still find I keep busy.

Daisy I am sure you had a lovely day with GD’s. I hope there isn’t any call to use the defibrillator in the future.

Lizzie, blocked drains are horrible. I must try the soda and vinegar for the kitchen drains. Is it soda crystals you use, and what kind of vinegar, or isn't the drain that fussy?

Oma, I'm always in awe of how much housework you get done so early in the day. I hope GS and Connor enjoy their night out for Connor's birthday.

Gem, I hope S is feeling ok now after her jab. She must be a very valued member of the golf club - she does so much to help and organise.

Plant, I hope you keep busy with things you enjoy! Have a lovely party tomorrow. Have you done your packing for Normandy? Are you crossing from Poole?

I went and collected both GDs as planned this morning. We had heavy rain overnight and there was a lot of flooding on the roads, but at least they were passible if you were careful. I got a good welcome from Cooper! By the time we got back home the girls were ready for their 'second breakfast' - a treat they always have here. Sweet waffles with ice cream, fruit (strawberries, blueberries, mango, whatever is in the fridge) drizzled over with honey. OH got back home just before lunch, complete with three quite large pumpkins. The girls chose which one they each wanted and gave them names - Rosie and Pummypum. We decided the grand parent one was Eric.

The rain was pretty relentless, so no chance of going out, but we had a happy time making our pumpkins. The girls stayed for dinner (I love feeding them, they enjoy everything!) and their mum and dad came to collect them about 7 o'clock.

Girls have had a lovely time by sounds of it .
I use plain baking soda and white vinegar down my drains about a half cup of soda and full cup of vinegar or more,
Leave it to foam up and do its job for hour then pour a kettle of boiling water down .

Daisy, I use soda crystals and white vinegar, we have a cleaning vinegar which can be used as well. Lemon juice added is good for the smell!

                                Good morning.

Daisy, glad you had the girls for a while.
                                Love the photo of Eva.

I use soda crystals as well with white vinegar.
In fact I bought a new bag yesterday. I use them for the drains and for cleaning the washer and dishwasher.

Plant, enjoy your party and the trip to Normandy.

Chicken in breadcrumbs, roast potatoes, veggies and gravy are on the menu today.
