    Good morning Nan2 and everyone
Our house has clocks with a mixture of times this morning . I must go around and set them all.

Daisy cute pumpkins, and Eva guarding them

We are having a roast today as we have invited two friends round to share it. They will be here around 6.30. Nothing much planned until then, but I may do some wardrobe sorting (badly needed!)

Thinking of Glamma and hoping she is improving.

      Back to rain again.

      Nanto
I use Soda crystals in my washer they are better than Calgon and cheaper and do a better job.
      Hope you enjoy lunch x

      Gem

S is fine now thank you Oma.
I had a better night again. I think the swelling of the leg having gone down is helping a lot.
Knee is still swollen and sore at times, and I walk with a limp without my stick. All to be expected at this stage I know. l I need patience!

Gemini, pleased to read that the swelling in your leg has gone down. Enjoy your roast dinner with friends.

I don’;t have many clocks to alter, most of them change themselves. Did the mantle clock yesterday evening but turned it to the wall until this morning. Haven’t seen anyone from next door yet, not sure where they are. I have had some lovely cards from friends, not from family yet. Thank you for your greeting lovely ladies. We are not expecting good weather in Normandy so will be getting out the games.

Daisy, I am sure your GD’s had a lovely time with you, pumpkins look great.

Oma, I am sure I will have a lovely time, not sure how many GC will be there. I think all three GGC will be there. Not looking forward to leaving at 5 am tomorrow, almost packed, just last minute stuff to go in.

Weather has been so different today. We have had sunshine all day.

I have cut the grass today. It looks 100% tidier now.
Leaves were all over from the storm you had last week.
Been waiting for some decent weather so we could get the garden tidied.

Oma, about the renovation, the votes have to be in by the 10th, but.......... I have my doubts about whether or not there will be the 70% they need, I went down to the lady I know for coffee this morning, oh dear, the idea's she has in her head, you can't talk her out of them at all, in fact, it depressed me listening to her!

It would have been an idea for the housing to have a flat to view that people know what to expect instead of listening to all the depressing stories going around!! They did have one in the first block they did, then, hardly anyone went to view so it wasn't worth it.

Gem, I was just reading about your theatre visit, is it possible to swop tickets for a seat on the aisle? That is what I did when I went to see The Lion King with the girls.

Well, I'm a bit late getting on line today, and that's after having the extra hour!

We've had torrential rain all morning and everywhere in the village is flooded. Parts of our garden were under water too. The sun came out just after lunch and I took Eva out into the very soggy Forest. A man stopped me in the car park and asked which way should he go to avoid the mud! I didn't like to tell him mud was best, or at least better than the flooded areas. I bet his immaculate nearly all-white JR got back looking far from immaculate!

Thank you all for the soda and vinegar ingredients. I've got no excuses now!

Lizzie, it's hard to persuade someone if they won't listen to different ideas. I hope you get the outcome you want from the vote.

Nanto, well done on getting your lawn cut. Ours looks more like a bog at the moment! I expect reeds to grow soon.

Plant, I hope. you've had a lovely birthday. Safe journey tomorrow to Normandy, and have a lovely time there.

Gem, I'm pleased to hear the selling is going down, and you got a better night last night. xx

Oma, you were organised with all your clocks!

                  Good morning. Drizzling this morning.

Plant, wishing you a safe journey to Normandy.

Daisy , it's possible that yesterday was the last cut for the grass. Will have to wait and see what the weather is like next week.

Apparently, there is a storm coming Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I heard it will affect the South most. Sorry Daisy.

Dinner is gammon and pineapple, baby potatoes and veg.

                    Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I was just reading about that storm.

Daisy we have had so much rain here too, lots of flooded areas.

Lizzie it will be a shame if the renovations don't take place due to misguided fears .

Plant, I hope you had a good birthday. Safe travels and happy holidays!

We are expecting a busy house today. It's half term here.
Both GS1 and 3 coming ( OH here all day to help) SIL2 is coming over to work from here while his car is at a nearby garage for service. Not sure what time

                      Morning everyone
It’s light but huge big black clouds coming our way.

                      Daisy
I wouldn’t like to have to clean the dog with all that mud and water around 😱😁
Its been none stop hasn’t it .

                      Gem
Have a lovely day with the boys , I suspect GD will be doing her own thing at her age 😁

Hope you had a lovely birthday and you got off ok on your trip ,
A very early start for you xx

                      Nanto
You we’re lucky to get the grass cut ,
The council and Forestry have been around doing the last grass cutting and trimming some branches from the trees , I suspect to try avoiding any falling on the roads in the storms .

Nothing interesting planned today looks too stormy to do much so I will just potter and get some cupboards cleared .

                        Good Monday morning, everyone.

Gem, have a lovely day with the boys. Don't over do things though. x

Nanto - DS2 rang yesterday to warn about the storm due to hit us Wednesday/Thursday. I don't know what will be worse, more rain on already waterlogged ground, or winds possibly up to 90 mph!

Oma, I hope the black clouds disappear in another direction for you. Enjoy your pottering.

Plant, safe journey and have a lovely time.

Gem, I hope you are feeling a bit stronger today, but I'm sure the hospital is taking great care of. you. xx

Today we're concentrating on making the garden safe for the storm later in the week. We need to get large pots into a sheltered spot and wrap up the banana plants (the wind shreds them) and put small pots into the summerhouse. We'll definitely need wellies as much of the garden in under water. It's sunny but showery at the moment, so we need to get going!

That’s a big job but better safe than sorry and losing your plants.

We decided to go to our Shopping Mall , B wanted slippers and I wanted to go to Asda ,
Our elderly neighbours were sitting outside Costas so we had a good chat with them .

The rain isn’t heavy here yet it’s more of a drizzle

                            Drizzle here as well Oma.

Changed the bedding and washed it,no chance of getting it on the line though.
                            Upstairs is all done.

I think we have rain forecast for the rest of the week.

Can’t report much, the ship is going up and down and now side to side.

We have arrived, fire lit Aga on.

Lovely birthday, gorgeous food prepared by my DS, he is such a good cook, problem is he likes to eat it too.

Plant, enjoy the holiday, your family will spoil you!xx

I have been without internet, oh dear, how I miss it! I woke this morning, nothing, plugged the plugs out to reset it all, nothing, I went to the gym and the young man there has his own IT business and he told me to leave the plugs out at least 10 minutes, I returned home, did all that, nothing!! I had to go and do the coffee so got home at 11am, spent almost one hour on the phone with a nice young lady from the provider, nothing! She told me to wait, returned and said I was a lucky lady as there was an engineer in the area and he would be here between 1 and 5pm, he was here at 2-30pm with a new box for the glass fibre, he knew exactly what the problem was, he is going to make a point of making sure the help desks know about it as it would save time on the phone. He fixed the new box and the problem was solved, he asked how long I had been without the internet, I told him this morning but that I only phoned at 11am and the young lady confirmed his visit at 12am, he said that is a record!!! You have usually to wait at least 24 hours and if it is in a weekend it could be 36 hours, so, I was a lucky lady!

                                I did miss aqua though!
