Afternoon ladies
will this rain ever stop , its so dark and cold.
MIL was her usual grumpy self today .
While we were there the man from Specsavers came with her new glasses , she was far from pleasant. As I saw him out I apologised for her , he said thats ok we get people like that from time to time.
All these shootings in America its so sad , there are no solutions to things like this when people are allowed to carry a gun
Makes it worse that he is a firearms instructor.

Hope the rain stayed away long enough to get to the Pumpkin patch.

Good to hear you had a good night , enjoy your company x

I think lots of people are afraid of change as they get older and the upheaval, I do hope they see sense and how any updates and improvements will be a bonus to them.

Good morning. Fog has cleared from last night.
Daisy, lovely to have GD's for a sleep over.
Gem glad you had a sociable day yesterday.
Hubby will be out for a couple of hours this morning, so it will be just a run of the mill kind of day for me.
Oma, we wouldn't really have expected anything else from your MIL.
No cooking, we are having fish and chips today.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Dark and foggy here this morning. I have to go to the chemist to pick up a prescription, this afternoon is a National Trust meeting, the speaker is going to talk about children growing up after WW2, that should be interesting as that was my era.
Nanto, Fish and chips sounds good, no cooking for you.
Will pop back laterWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Friday morning, everyone.
I'll catch up with everyone later. Our plans for the girls' sleepover didn't happen. GD2 gets abdominal migraines, making her very sick for a number of hours, and she developed one yesterday afternoon. Usually they're over in 3 or 4 hours and she has a sleep and is then ok, but this one went on until 4 am this morning. Needless to say, the sleepover was cancelled, and she's feeling to weak and sore (from constant vomiting) to do anything today. The best laid plans! So the girls have stayed home and if GD2 feels better we'll probably all go out for lunch together tomorrow.

Good morning, very wet and miserable here, I want to get the paintwork in the hall etc done then I can sew with an easy mind!
Daisy, the objections to the work is the work it will involve, the thing is, we will profit so much from it all, the man said yesterday if the project doesn't go through they have other projects and in 4 or 5 years everyone will have to have it all done, the only thing being we will be 5 years older then (if we are still here ) and missed out on all the profits of the lost years. Oma, I hope the same and that they see sense, it annoys me. I bet it is something your MIL would say no to!!
Enjoy your time with the GC Daisy. I hope the weather is better than it is here today.

Oh Daisy, your poor GD, that sounds horrible.
How disappointing for you all. I hope you manage the lunch tomorrow and a sleepover can be arranged before too long.
I have made carrot and parsnip soup. We will have our lunch then set out for our jabs. The sun is peeping through!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

When my DD was about 8 she started to get Migraine of the stomach it lasted a Good few years then they went ,
She would be very sick and curled in pain for hours ,
We had never heard of it till we called out the Dr one night ( thatβs when your Dr came out )
He knew what it was
unfortunately she seems to be getting them in her head recently .
We have a theory now itβs hormonal as sheβs going through the menopause
Hope they go away as she gets older poor girl , I feel for her , she must be so sore and tired after them xIm not fat just 6ft too small
