I don’t make my own curries, my son makes wonderful curries. I haven’t seen a fish one in M&S, they have a curry meal offer atm and it does me two days.

Oma, pleased you found the throw you needed.

Daisy, I hope you managed to put your exotic babies to bed for the winter.

Gemini, that doesn’t sound like the holiday your friends are arranging will be your sort of enjoyable holiday. I think you should go ahead with you plans, I used to like a pool.

Hallo, I am feeling much better, thankfully! I managed a short visit to the gym, then did coffee, finishing the skirt I was making now.

Glamm, my neighbour is like your neighbour, she hasn't much in her house at all, I have helped her over the years, she does wear the jackets etc I give her and M from next door has just fitted her out with pyjama's etc. Your poor DD, I had the same once with a broken jaw, whilst ski-ing, discovered it was broken 6 months later.

Daisy, I certainly can't complain about having nothing to wear!

DS1 and family at Blackpool, GD1 sent me a video of the ballroom, we used to watch it on a Saturday when they stayed over.

I was feeling a little anxious about us having the baby so soon to be honest, but he is so good and of course I could not have considered this if OH were not here to take a lot of the load off. I think he did me good, a little Therapy Baby

Glamma, sorry to hear how bad DD's injury is.

I got the windows cleaned inside and i thought i wish C the window cleaner would come.
Lo and behold he came a couple of hours later.

Managed to get some packing done.Would have done it all,but sis in law and hubby came.
They were here for 3 hours. When we get together,we never know when to part company.

Been lovely and sunny today but quite chilly.

Oma, glad you managed to get the throw that you wanted.

Just a quick catch up - Gem, I'm sorry I didn't see you post this morning. We've stayed in loads of French gites over the years, but it's nice to have a pool! It doesn't sounds quite the holiday for you and S, especially given it's a special year and you want to push the boat out a bit. I'm sure today was really enjoyable with Baby E - you must have been missing his little smiley face and cute ways.

Glamm, your poor DD. I feel so sorry for her and I don't know how she kept walking on holiday. She's a very strong lady. I hope she follows doctor's instructions now and gets better soon. Your new neighbour does sound a bit unusual, and I agree, there may be an agency helping him with furniture etc. Take it slowly with him, and his doggy.

Oma, glad you got a throw. Nice to have something to snuggle into on a chilly day, and who knows you might be able to use it as a blind if you can't find one!!

Lizzie, I hope your family enjoyed Blackpool Tower ballroom. It's an amazing place, and it's a great floor to dance on! I'm trying to work out how you didn't realise you had a broken jaw for 6 months! Weren't you in a lot of pain with it? xx

Plant, it's good to hear your GD and her partner's landlord has fixed the mildew problem. Were they able to choose the colours for the re-decoration? I've never tried M&S curries, but I've been making quite a lot just lately - not too hot though.

I didn't get much done in the garden, but I cut the lawn, got some washing out and dried and gave the main bathroom a good clean. OH has been out most of the day and I needed him to help with lifting some heavy pots, so they'll have to wait for a few days now. We're out early in the morning - going on a group walk with OH's pensioners' club, having a look round an old signal box (?) and lunch at a nearby pub. We can take Eva with us.

Good morning, Daisy, I fell flat on my face the first day of ski-ing, never felt a thing, the only time I noticed anything on holiday was whilst chewing a pizza, I thought the pizza was tough! After a few weeks at home I went to the doctor, physio etc, was on liquid foods etc a few weeks, nothing helped, X ray in the hospital, they couldn't find anything, this all started in February, in June I asked for a second opinion and went to a hospital in Den Haag, the professor said, "so your jaw is sore?" I told him painful, there was a young learning doctor with him and he looked at me and smiled. The professor said I was just in time for a MRI scan, 30 minutes later I returned and the young doctor gave me a look and smiled again, the professor told me that my jaw had been broken and had healed, badly. There were 2 choices, a long operation or see if my dentist could sort it out, I chose my dentist, it took almost a year with braces, losing teeth etc etc, cost me a fortune as my holiday insurance wouldn't pay, if I had gone to the hospital in Italy at the time they would have had proof that I had fallen whilst ski-ing, I didn't go as I had no idea my jaw was broken. My dentist managed to get it sorted though, luckily, the only thing I don't do (still) is eat an apple without cutting it into pieces. My physio always tells me I have a high pain tolerance.

This is almost 20 years ago and I decided to stop ski-ing as it could have been my neck that I broke.

A couple more things to pack and a few little jobs to do.

Hubby says just bung a pizza in for dinner, told him he had read my mind.

Daisy, it is an early start tomorrow. We are leaving here at 2.45am.
Going from Manchester, it's 5 years since we last flew from there.

Good Morning everyone its so chilly here today.
DD has been in touch with her GP and he has received her report from the hospital he has signed her off work for 6 weeks initially she now just has to wait for an appointment with the fracture clinic to decide which way to go she may need an operation for a plate which will mean her off work for longer she will be so bored and climbing the walls if she is off longer.I am going to have to find my way over to Kirby by public transport and stay over a few days as there is no way I am driving through Liverpool its a nightmare of a drive.

You all may be right about my new neighbour he may be waiting for an Agency to help him or for grants to be approved for furniture DS1 has just come home this morning and said he can see him sleeping on the floor through the front window it seems very sad but I shall keep myself out of it

Plant how long is you DGD staying ? the flat will be so nice and fresh when they get back home .

Nant2 enjoy your holiday thats an early start for sure how long are you away I could do with a week away with a bit of sun.

Lunch yesterday was very pleasant meeting DS1s girlfriend for the first time she is such a nice girl we sat looking over The Mersey by New Brighton to be honest I was very surprised how busy it was for lunch time .

Oma I am thinking of going to Dunelm to browse the throws next week I'm thinking same as you a couple of throws to brighten up the lounge and for nana naps I love their teddy blankets for on top of the bed when its chilly .

I was going to pop into Aldi yesterday after lunch but never got there so am off to try again this afternoon after doing a few jobs here nothing exhausting really just a sweep around with the flat mop on the floors and jobs done.

Shame you didn’t go to the hospital when you first did it , but life is full of ifs and buts isn’t it .
If you didn’t feel like you had done any damage I can understand you not going and just brushing it off as a fall.
Dental work isn’t cheap.


Well I’m not with it this morning
Last night I put out mine and Bs tablets we take them at 9pm ,
I take a statin and my BP tablet
B takes Gabapentin and Morphine in tablet form ,
Took mine and B went to get his only to discover I had taken his Morphine. 😱
Well I slept like a baby B said I snored all night very loudly , got up at 5 To go to the loo and was so groggy I bounced of the walls and doors , B had to get up and get me up the landing ,

Got up at 7.30 as we have the dog today instead of tomorrow and it’s taken me ages to. Finally get dressed ,
I don’t think he will get a walk today I’m too groggy 🥴

My sister just phoned she said I sound stoned 🤣🤣🤣

Fogot to say I got a blind yesterday from Habitat in Argos of all places .

You got a lot done yesterday Daisy! I feel bad that I am not much help to OH with the autumn jobs this year.

Nothing planned for me today. I had hoped my friend M may be able to come for coffee again but she is out all day today. I am going to try getting in and out of my driving seat today, and if I manage that I may try a short drive with OH beside me tomorrow. It would be nice to not have to be home alone every time OH plays golf
I will tackle those Minutes today!

Glamm, how lovely for you to see your DS in a happy relationship again. So sorry your DD’s injury will take a time, I hope she doesn’t have to have surgery to prolong the time she will be off work. The decorators at my GD2’s flat have been told to just paint the bits of wall they have been working on to cure the mould, not a full redecoration. I hope your new neighbour gets some home comforts soon.

My lovely cleaner has just gone so I can get on here, I always seem to be in her way, she suggested today that she would have a word with her boss as she doesn’t think I need her every week although I am quite happy, she works so hard and is so quick. I have a lovely newly made bed with a change to winter duvet. She is a pre-school teacher but can earn more money cleaning every day and enjoys it more.

Im glad you have a lovely cleaner and you appreciate her ,
MILs is a lovely young woman but all MIL does is moan about her but we can see what a good job she does,

When will they get back in the flat ? The paint to stop it coming back and cover the stains do stink and the smell lingers for a few days,
When my DS and DIL first moved in together their flat had a few patches that had to be treated , I remember the smell.

I have had a two hour sleep on the sofa , I couldn’t keep my eyes open but at least now I don’t feel as spaced out .
I only woke because Storm put his nose on mine and laid across me ,
B was in the kitchen with the door closed and Storm wanted to be out .

I hope I sleep tonight now .
