Daisy I think you need a good rest! I am still very sleepy since my op and drop off most afternoons.

Plant, a rest day is a good idea for you too.

Good news that MIL was in a good mood Oma.

The news from Israel is appalling . I have been in touch with the English family of my friend who died in Israel, and the Israeli family are all safe and well, thank goodness.

I was glad to have the reflexology . Daisy there isn't a specific time you need to wait and in fact some advocate it very early to help clear the effects of anesthetic from the system. It was more a matter of when I would be comfortable in that position for an hour. It was fine today.
It's good to have my new laptop up and running. Our computer man is so lovely. We had good chat while we waited for all my photos to transfer over. He is to become the granddad to a little girl in a month's time First child for his only DD, he is very proud!
When OH got back from golf we went for coffee in the village then she popped into the Co Op for some mushrooms.

Good morning. Heavy rain at the moment.

Gem, pleased your new laptop is up and running.
Nice for you to have coffee in the village, gets you out a bit.

I'm doing a roast chicken dinner today. DS1 and GD2 coming for dinner.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning, so I'll get my ironing done.

        Good morning everyone.

Roast dinner and good company Nan2, what could be better?

I am happy as I didn't have to take any 4 to 5 am painkillers! The first time I have got through the night without them.

Physio appointment this morning . I will definitely need some before that!

Takeaway of some sort for us tonight, I want OH to have a break from cooking .

Good morning, good luck at the physio Gem.

I was ill all day yesterday, in fact since my day out, so tired, headache, stomach etc, I slept most of the day yesterday, I do feel a little better this morning so hope I improve today.

We had a cloud burst yesterday afternoon, I was asleep on the settee and wondered what on earth it was! Shops in the village were flooded etc, GD1 was caught in it on her way home from the station. Dull now but nothing like yesterday.

I am going to try and do the coffee, I have made coffee for the window cleaners, they do the gallery side, they started at 7am and I wondered what it was I could hear, after the break in's we have to be careful, I was telling the men, theyoung man said that explains why everyone was peeping through their curtains this morning.

              Morning Ladies

              Lizzie
Sorry to hear your not well , take it easy today and pamper yourself ,
If you don’t need to go out dont let whatever you have pass ,
Im sure everyone is on high alert when they hear a noise at the moment it’s only to be expected.

              Gem
I hope the physio isn’t as painful as the last one, especially as you managed to go through the night without pain relief.
A take away is just the job for a easy meal no cooking involved 😁

              Nanto
A chicken dinner is just the ticket on a wet day and I’m sure your company will enjoy it 😁

Its so wet at the moment and very dark,
B gone for liver & Kidney blood tests his yearly ones to keep a eye on them ,

So I cleaned dusted hoovered through then had a shower , couldn’t be bothered to clean the bathroom straight after that so sat and had a cup of tea before I tackled it.
I like to use the Karcher on the tiles after a shower get rid of all the water.

My Sister is 79 today we had a good long chat very early this morning she’s like me doesn’t sleep well ,
Her knee is improving so that’s a bonus.

GS came home yesterday so popping in sometime today before he and Lucie go back for a long weekend ,
They both off till Monday .

Bs sister rang me last night she had phoned MIL and they had another blazing row .
MIL was really nice with us for a change but apparently nasty with SIL. Knew it couldn’t last 😁

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's dark, wet and dismal here and rained heavily overnight. I wish I'd had time to do the lawn on Wednesday, before it engulfs the whole garden!

Gem, you must be so pleased not to need the 4-5am pain relief. I hope physio isn't too painful today, but it's all progress towards getting a skipping rope! . Thank you for the reflexology information. The reason I asked I remembered many years ago a friend volunteering for a reflexology demonstration and at one point she nearly shot through the roof with a sudden pain. The lady demonstrating said it was because she was still healing from a recent hysterectomy and if she'd known she wouldn't have let her volunteer.

You must be delighted to have your new laptop up and running and everything transferred over. Enjoy your takeaway - what will you have?

Lizzie, it's probably a bit late in your day for me to say don't push yourself too hard if you're not feeling well. You are always so busy, perhaps a day off would do you good. I'm sure all your neighbours are nervous after the break ins. We've had some round our road, and it does make you more wary.

Oma, I do hope B's blood tests come back ok. He's done so well, hasn't he! Karchers are great, aren't they, although I don't do the shower room tiles with it. I just spray the shower area with Method Daily Shower and give it a good scrubbing now and then. Oh dear, perhaps MIL used up all her nice jolly energy with you and B yesterday and there was none left for her DD! Very happy birthday to your sister. Good to hear her poorly knee is improving. It must be lovely to have GS popping in like that - I hope he and Lucie have a good week-end.

Nanto, the roast chicken will be great for such a miserable day. I don't suppose you will have many left overs! Has it stopped raining?

We've had our Sainsburys delivery - 4 substitutes today, including a totally different brand of tea bags! I sent 3 of the items back. OH and Eva got soaked just putting the bins out this morning. (Eva always "helps"). I'm just off for a shower. I need to give upstairs a quick hoover round and dust, but am planning a lazy day otherwise. It's a good day to light the wood burner and relax.

Daisy, yes, a major abdominal operation like that would be a contra indication to reflexology for few weeks.
Very wet here too. OH is booked to play golf with a friend this afternoon but we feel it may be cancelled due to a soggy course.

Oma, for all the years that my mum was very awkward it often seemed that if one of us was out of favour she was very nice to the others (for a while!)

Gem, ah, thanks for that - it explains something that's always puzzled me!

The sun is out now , but it’s chilly.
Ive cleaned upstairs and hoovered ,
dusted around the ceilings and light fittings just incase any spiders dare to spin a web 😁
emptied the paper shredder into a paper bag missed completely and dumped it on the floor 🙄
Luckily it was just in a pile so easy to scoop up again.

B has decided he’s having lamb chops for tea so I’ve taken some Salmon out of the freezer I prefer that to lamb.

Hallo everyone, I am feeling a little better today, luckily, I went to DS1 for their key whilst they are away and DIL was saying there is a virus going round, exactly the same symptoms. I will recover.

I ordered some Sloggi underwear from a site in July, they kept postponing the delivery date, I got a mail the other day that the briefs haven't been delivered to the warehouse and I would get my money credited plus a voucher for the inconvenience. Looking on their site the same Sloggi's are for sale, only more expensive this time, I mailed a few times and got the same answer so mailed this morning asking them how is that possible, not available then at the same time to be ordered? I received a mail explaining how it works in the warehouse, and, that as it wasn't my fault he was crediting me the full amount of the ones I can order, plus the vouchers for inconvenience, so, I have ordered them again and see what happens. I can get annoyed at times!

It has been dry here all day, just coming in really dull again.

We have had a house full.
DS1,GD2 and then GD1 came with Tommie.
I had made a full roast chicken dinner,so there was plenty to go round.
                              Everyone has gone home now.

Lizzie, glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Ooh lamb chops, one of my favourites Oma! I love salmon too but the chops would have won

A lovely family get together Nan2!

It sounds as though you are on the mend Lizzie.

I will update about physio on my thread.
No golf for OH due to wet weather so on the way back from the hospital we treated ourselves to lunch at one of our favourite cafes.
OH has decided cook as she is at home this afternoon and we will have our takeaway over the weekend.
