Yes we have pain management but again not a help, He has had pain for most of his life from his back injuries but the Shingles caused severe nerve damage due to Chemo,

The plant troughs look lovely a good job done there,
I bet everyone is pleased with them.

GDs photo shows how grown up shore is now , she’s stunning .

Storm enjoyed his lunch he flopped onto his bed and slobber out for a good two hours 😁

GS rang he was back home could he come for lunch , so another one of the pack got fed
he’s gone to the driving range now with his friend before he picks Lucie up.

Lizzie, the bounce place sounds great. I don't know if we have any here - I'd never heard of them. The plant troughs look lovely, and I'm glad your throat is feeling better.

Oma, I bet GS got a delicious dinner as well! Nice to have him home - is it just for the week-end or has he got a reading week?

I've had a very lazy day, as planned! I took Eva out when it was just drizzling with rain, and it came on really heavy just as we got back home. She was quite tired after all the attention yesterday, but still wanted to go for a longer walk, but the ground is too muddy.

OH is out this evening. I've watched Episode 2 of Call the Midwife and Gardeners' World.

I might have another lazy day tomorrow - I could get used to it.

        Good morning.

Daisy, you deserve another lazy day. Enjoy it.

We are usually out on Saturday, but there is nothing we need. I would have gone to the butchers, but only for stuff for freezing.
I suppose I'll find something to do.

Hubby is having chicken korma with rice, a ready meal, I'll have a cheese omelette with plenty of cheese. That's today's dinner sorted.

        Coffee time now.

            Good morning everyone.
            Misty murky one here.

Daisy, you should take more days off- you are retired after all

Nan2, I'm sure you will find something to do.

Oma, it's lovely that you see your GS1 so much

No plans for us today. OH had golf with a friend planned, but the course is yet again closed. She has decorating to do and a jigsaw to finish. I have a lot of clothes to sort out for charity. I have 3 wardrobes and all full

Good Saturday morning, everyone. We've had yet more rain overnight, but it's almost sunny at the moment!

Nanto, enjoy your day. It's a change for you not to be going out on a Saturday, isn't it.

Oma, I hope GS enjoys his week-end in Edinburgh. He's really thrown himself into Uni life, hasn't he - good for him.

Gem, I bet OH is fed up with the course being closed so much this winter. Is it getting worse? You've reminded me I need to sort out my wardrobes! All full and nothing to wear sums it up nicely.

I forgot to say yesterday I actually did some painting - the first time for ages. I'd taken watercolours up to DS1's when he was in hospital but didn't use them, so I thought I'd have a go yesterday. I'll try and get it finished today and post it up.

A quietish day for us. I'll put the bedding in the wash, but don't plan to do much else, apart from taking Eva out of course.

                Good moaning.
Good to see some of us are up and doing! Plenty I should do today but nothing I particularly want to do. OH still in bed, his golf is cancelled too which is a shame because it’s a lovely day, just wet underfoot. That will mean wet, thick coated dog.
Minding the GCs tonight which means home made cake! 😁
I am about to start volunteering in a charity shop which will prompt me into clearing out more. I must try not to replace things. 😬
People keep telling me they are clearing their lofts. I couldn’t do that if I tried.
Looking forward to seeing Daisy’s painting and maybe Oma’s new bin!
Gem, you will feel so very righteous after a good clear out.
Nan2, have a good relaxing day and do nothing for a change.
                Toodlepip for now.

All this clearing out, is it catching?

Rugby afternoon for me today, Sil has his brothers coming round so I will watch the matches in here. Very lucky GM yesterday, we had all 3GGC, and 3 GC here. Went to M&S with GD1. She went to pick up glasses, they have an opticians in the shop. The store was very quiet but the cafe was heaving. Dil just sent a message, she is coming around to watch the first game with me. GD2 has just popped in to say she is going back to London, her partner is due back from a skiing holiday.

Oma, It is lovely that you still see your GS quite often. I have a swing bin lid but it does need two hands, one to swing it and one to dispose of the rubbish.

Daisy, enjoy another sort of lazy day, I am sure Eva will worry you for a walk.

Grauntie, I am the same, plenty that needs doing but no incentive to do it. Working in a charity shop, won’t that be a bit tempting to buy more things? I always look for cut glass vases and drinking glasses.

Gemini, good luck with the sort out, it is something I need to do. I hope we get some dry weather soon for the golfers.

                    Enjoy your Rugby ,
How nice to have them all together ,
How is GD feeling now after the duck feeding ordeal ?

GS wanted to play yesterday but the greens here are closed too so h had to do with he driving range instead,
I bet S is fed up but on the other hand your getting the bedroom finishes 😁

                    Daisy
You deserve a restful day all the stuff you have been doing and walking Eva on top of that ,
A day of slow paced things will be a treat 😁

                    GM
I would be taking my stuff into work and coming out with more if I worked in a charity shop 😁

We cleared our loft last year I was ruthless everything went and up till now I haven’t missed anything or thought I should have keep that.

Didnt get the bin they only had it in Chrome and no way am I constantly polishing Chrome so good old Amazon delivering a black one ,
I could have bought a black one where you just swipe your hand over the sensor but SIl bought one a few month back and DD said it’s been returned 3 times as it stops working .

I came home did some ironing then touched up a few bits of paint on the door s where it’s chipped of with the hoover bashing into it ,
B hoovers and he’s a bit heavy handed , goes at it like he’s cutting the grass 😁
Finished drying the bedding put that away ,
                    Hopefully a quiet afternoon .

                      Oma, amazon to the rescue.

                      Plant enjoy the rugby.

Hubby didn't care for the korma, he likes tikka masala.
DS1 is here, so he is taking the other korma.

I haven't done much just the usual cleaning up.
Really don't like staying in on Saturdays.
Oh, I've rearranged a couple of kitchen cupboards. What was in one of the top cupboards is now in the bottom cupboard and visa versa.

We'd love to see the painting Daisy

Nan2, I think it can make you feel a bit out of sorts to stay in on a day you normally go out.

Oh Oma, chrome does require too much polishing! We have a little chrome pedal bin in our bathroom. DD1 had one of those sensor bins and hers stopped working too.

Was it a good rugby match Plant?

Lucky GC with homemade cake Grauntie! I don't make them for mine often enough.

OH has finished the painting. Some picture shelves to put up then its just putting it all back to rights really.
I did some clothes sorting, more to do tomorrow!

It sounds as though most of us have had a productive day. I say "most" because I definitely haven't! I washed our bedding and after all that exertion I sat down to read. Then it was lunch time. Then I sat down to read. Then I walked Eva. Then I sat down to chat to DS1 and DIL on the phone. Then it was feeding time - first Eva, then us. Then I sat down to watch television. And now it's bedtime!

We've got a little chrome pedal bin in our main bathroom. It's a pain to clean! Will black be any easier, though, Oma?

Plant, it sounds as though it was party time yesterday, but how lovely to have them all together.

Grauntie, who was in charge of baking cake -you or your GCs? Did Bess get very muddy?

It was a lovely day here as well, Grauntie, but too wet to go into the Forest. I stopped to chat to two different people who I know by sight, and both times (after they'd fussed Eva, of course!) I said "isn't it a lovely day, it feels as though spring is in the air." They both replied "no, it's too cold"!

Nanto, I hope you don't keep going to the wrong cupboard. That's what I do if I move anything round in the kitchen, or I can't find it at all!

With all that (in)activity I didn't get my painting finished, but perhaps tomorrow.

                            Good morning. It isn't raining.

Daisy, I probably will go to the wrong cupboard for a while.

Not a lot to do today regarding housework, so I have a sewing job to do.

When GD1 got married 4 years ago next month, I bought a weddingy outfit for the daytime and i bought a pink lacey dress for the evening. Both of them needed shortening. I did the daytime outfit but never got round to doing the other. Made my mind up I'm going to get it done, so I'll start on it today.
Later this month we are out for a 60th birthday meal, and im planning on wearing the dress.

I'm doing a lamb dinner today. Took a lamb fillet out of the freezer yesterday.
I'll do some extra roast potatoes for the freezer.

Good Sunday morning, Nanto and all who drop in later.

The pink dress sounds lovely, but I was quite shocked that it's 4 years since your GD1's wedding. It will be lovely to wear one of your wedding outfits again for the 60th birthday meal.

I never think of freezing roasties, but it sounds a good idea.

For once, I've planned tonight's dinner - I'm putting a beef massaman curry in the slow cooker this morning!

It's rained again overnight. OH's car is leaking so he'll have to dry it out again this morning.

Have a happy, relaxed Sunday, everyone. x

                                Good morning ladies.

Nan2, good idea to shorten the dress for the 60th.

Well done getting ahead with tonight's dinner Daisy!

I am going with DD1 to see GS1 in the pantomime from his drama group. I am not looking forward to it as DD1 went last year and tells me it was dire! Adults play the main roles and the children the rest. I was unable to go last year, but I am led to believe it was appalling. I am going because GS wants me to and because his dad has a funeral in Scotland tomorrow so can't go this time. I can't let poor DD endure it alone
I will sort a few more clothes out.
