Gem, I'm sure S was disappointed about the golf, but you both had a nice meal out and still have a takeaway to look forward to at the week-end. Win-win.

Lizzie, what a performance with the undies. It sounds as though they have had to buy in at a higher price doesn't it. It's a good job you weren't desperate for them! I hope DS1 and family enjoy their holiday. Is this the trip to the UK?

Oma, the spiders wouldn't dare! I'd definitely choose salmon over lamb chops, in fact I'd choose salmon over almost anything!

Nanto, what a good job you did plenty of dinner. Did they know you were doing a full roast?

The sucky up thing lay unloved and unused today. I decided it can wait till tomorrow. So I've had a fairly easy day and took Eva for a walk this afternoon. There was a break in the rain - just a bit drizzly - but it was very windy. OH has been out tonight so I had an easy salad for dinner, and have even watched Gardeners' World.

Good morning, I think that was the problem Daisy, as the young man said, not my problem so he sorted it out for me.

I am feeling a lot better now, I went to the friends party last night, sooooo busy!!! Daan is 80 years old now and loves his friends, his face was lighting up!!! They youngest son lives in Spain with his family, they were there as well. The Shantie choir were singing for him, I left after that at 11pm, I am not one for crowds and we are having trouble with a new door they fitted at the entrance, it won't open! We have to walk through the shed entrance and I didn't fancy doing that in the middle of the night, as it was, a lady with a dog had just arrived home, she waited for me and we walked the passage together. I don't know what would happen if the emergency services were needed, maybe a battering ram would help.

I love salmon Daisy, GD2 was telling me how she loves salmon salads when they etc out. I had smoked mackerel when she was here and she decided she likes that as well.

The family arrive in Hull today, head either for Leeds or Liverpool first, not sure which, then York.

If it is dry today I may have a bike ride to the next village, I will see how I feel, the headache has cleared so that is an improvement.

Gem, you would enjoy the lunch out.

        Good morning.

Lizzie, glad you are a lot better.

I don't need any shopping today, so we are hoping to the gardening done.

Got appointment for 3o'clock for our covid jabs.

Daisy, the visitors didn't know I was doing a roast yesterday, but they all seemed to enjoy it.
Dinner today is chips, beans and the rest of yesterday's chicken.

          'morning all

          Daisy, hoovering will always wait!

Lizzie I'm glad you are better. It's fine in York just now, for your family.

I hope you have no reactions to the covid jabs Nan2. I think ours is in a weeks time.

No plans today as far as I know. Friends did mention getting together for a takeaway at some point this weekend.
I think I ought to get the Minutes types up and sent out .

Good Saturday morning, everyone. We've got sunshine, but the garden is very wet after yesterday's rain.

Lizzie, that lovely party was perhaps just what you needed after feeling poorly for a few days. It sounds as though the birthday boy enjoyed it too. I like smoked mackerel too, and have some in the fridge to make a meal with either today or Monday. I hope the family have a lovely time over here. I hope your jammed door gets fixed soon - the alternative entrance sounds a bit dark to use in the evenings.

Nanto, good luck with the gardening. Our weather forecast for tonight is lows of 4C so I want to get as many of the tender plants under cover as possible today. This is where I really miss the greenhouse! How nice to have an easy meal with leftovers.

Gem, you're right about the hoovering. It looks as though it will have to wait today as well as the garden is taking priority. How is your new laptop? I hope you're not in more pain this morning after the physio session. xx

The sun is out but it’s cold ,

              Lizzie
I wouldn’t like to walk there in the dark , they should make the main door a priority for fixing.
sounds like the party was still in full swing when you left 😁

              Nanto
Always handy to have left overs isn’t it , makes a quick tasty meal.

              Daisy
This time of year you have to get into the garden when you can , we intend doing the netting today ,
I need to get fleece for my Jasmin and Fuchia and my grape plant still.

              Gem
nice to get up and not have any plans to rush around for.
Just go with the flow .

Think DD will walk over with Storm today
I have a dark wash on and will get them ironed when they dry ,
Wont take long in the garden its only a small boarder,
the other boarder where I have bushes has gravel over it so cats don’t try digging in that .
Sick of the leaves though but there are still tons to come down yet .

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Daisy, I'm fine since the physio thanks. Quite sore when I got home, but OK today.
I'm finding the tiredness quite draining though. I am doing so little I shouldn't be tired! I need to sort out the Minutes of the meeting held just before my op but I'm too tired to. Maybe tomorrow!

Gem, I think sitting around when you can't do much, is more tiring than if you've been on the go all day.

Gardening is all done Lovely day with wall to wall sunshine.

                          Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Gem, I can understand you still feeling tired. There was all the anxiety and build-up to the operation, the operation itself and all the pain. Plus doing exercises when all you really want to do is rest. Every time you stand up you have to think about what you are doing and how. No wonder you're exhausted. I know it will get better, but for now be kind to yourself. Sending hugs. xx

Nanto, has hubby gone shopping at the car boot sale? My OH decided on impulse last night to take a load of stuff to our local car boot. Got up at 5.30 and was back home at 7 am. He sat in a queue with half a dozen other cars waiting to go in, and then they found it was cancelled for today! So now he'd got to unload the car and put everything away again! He's not a happy bunny. I hope you're ok after your Covid jabs.

Plant, what a lovely day you had. Sometimes the day speeds by, doesn't it.

Low overnight temperatures resulted in a frost for us last night, so I was very glad we'd spent all day yesterday in the garden, clearing out the summerhouse and getting some of the tender plants in there. More to do today, but I covered the Canas over with fleece as they were still outdoors. I think we'll have to get the banana plants wrapped up as well. They're too big to go in the summerhouse but last winter they survived well-wrapped up in a sheltered corner.

We're going to take Eva up to the paddock for a run and then carry on gardening while the sun is shining.

                          Have a good day, ladies.

Plant, I'm sure it was a lovely busy family day for you

Nan2, yet another summer has gone without us making it to the car boot sale! I think ours may have finished for the year .

Daisy it is cold isn't it? I must get OH to bring all the geraniums into the conservatory to overwinter.
Another nice day forecast today though.
Your poor OH and the car boot sale!

No plans for us. We may go the cinema as Vue is all ground floor, parking outside and recliner seats! I just need to find a film we both want to see.

Morning Oma! Enjoy your roast dinner.

I slept OK. I always have a little walk round when I wake for the loo in the night, to ease the stiffness in my knee. No during the night painkillers needed since I had the reflexology on Thursday though
