Nan2, rain started here this afternoon too. It's been a dark and miserable one. I will start my outside walks tomorrow - rain permitting!

No plans here. Car boot has been cancelled because of the weather.

We had full English for tea one night last week, which was nice surprise for me. I didn't know we were having it. I am enjoying being cooked for every night I have to say. It feels like being a child or an old-style husband

No plans here today. We meant to invite a friend over to eat with us but OH forgot to phone her yesterday. We will do it in a while.
My usual daily routine of resting, exercising, icing and elevating!

We meeting our friends this morning in the local garden centre , I think DD & SIL may join us
Apart from that not much happening , towels in the wash bathroom cleaned everything else is done so a easy day .

I am still on go slow, no energy at all. DD said she had a sore throat, I hope H doesn’t get it too. I picked up some lovely big cooking apples off the grass yesterday, must find the energy to cook them, can’t bear wasting fruit.

Oma ... snap I have put towels in for a hot wash this morning some of the hand towels had not been used for a while and needed freshening up I wanted to hang them on the line to blow but sods law now as it has started to rain so will have to start drying off on the maiden in the wet-room.
Gems such a lovely pic on your FB page all dressed for halloween my DGD has a cute little dressing up costume DS1 took her to Tesco's to buy one when she was here on Thursday she was having a party with friends last night at her other nana's house for all her class mates (that nana must be brave)

I need to clean/wash my blinds in my lounge they are not venation style they are horizontal is there anyway apart from unclipping them from top & bottom and washing them to clean ? I'm sure Oma will know how to do it !!

Carry on with the pampering Gems getting spoilt is wonderful for the body & soul imo and what a fab meal of all day breakfast one of my favourites as you all know .

Glam, be careful washing your vertical blinds. I ruined some by putting them in the bath and they buckled and didn’t return to shape so I had to buy some new ones. Well done your DD.

Taking a while to get my energy back, just emptied the dishwasher and peeled some apples, needing s rest now.

apart from putting them inside a pillow case before washing I don’t really have any other advice, I’ve never washed them before ,
MIL did and they frayed at the edges , I suppose it’s whatever they are made from .
Im wondering if spray on carpet cleaner the foam type may work ?
you then don’t have to take them down
Just clean each one and hoover off the surface dirt .

Had a lovely couple hours with our friends ,
of course our Mutual GS was our main topic and how proud we all are of him.

We then called into Lidl and just got into the house when the heavens opened ,
Its been a lovely sunny morning till then .

Glamm, are they hard plastic or as Oma said, material? We had hard plastic ones and I used a hand flannel, one that fits over the hand then just slide up and down, with the material I wouldn't know.

Not a lot happening in Clover land.

Plant I hope you soon shake off that “bug” and Gem you’re doing well with your exercises etc. It’ll be well worth it.

Ds1 is here for the WE. It’s lovely having someone to talk to or even just make comments on TV programmes etc.
It’s a bit of a soggy day here in Wales but DS and I ventured out for a short walk regardless in our wet weather gear!

I live in a cul de sac and a couple of times lately we’ve been visited by cows! Of course they can’t go any further and often just stand mooing until they figure out they’ve got to go back! They are allowed to roam on our local common and golf course but often venture on to the roads leaving the inevitable mess They are part of the landscape here in the Summer but are rounded up for the Winter. It’s lovely seeing the new born calves but we have to be especially wary then they are around. I wish they were like the ponies that Daisy knows.

I have had my afternoon feet elevated above heart time as advised by nurse. I will do it this evening too. I would love a leg which doesn't look so big! As soon as I can have reflexology I will as that should help with the lymphatics. I put on my shoes and did several laps of the back garden this afternoon. Our friend SS (OH's golf friend and my aqua friend) is coming for tea.

Clover, our friend is a widow too and loves her DS's and DD's visits, neither live anywhere near. Cows in the cul de sac!

Plant listen you your body and take it easy for a while more yet. It may be Covid that you had and if not if was obviously something which took it out of you.

Glamma, that reminds me I must look for GS3's Halloween outfit for this year!
