Oma, I cannot imagine you having dirty windows!

The hospital phoned back and gave me an appointment with my consultant - tomorrow afternoon. OH in a golf competition and DD1, the only local DD, in meetings. I was contacting my friends to source a lift when a Nuffield nurse phoned.
She was lovely and asked me all about it. She said she didn't really think I needed to see the consultant ( and neither did I!) She said it all sounded quite normal really but to come in this afternoon to see them. OH could drive me which was much easier. They took off my dressing and all looking good. They assure me this amount of swelling is normal at this stage and maybe for a while yet. They were glad I went though and said don't hesitate to get back in touch with any worries.
So I feel better. And OH and I managed to get another delicious hot chocolate for my money 😁

Oh Gemini, what a relief for you to hear that reassurance.

That is so reassuring Gem, trouble is you really don't know what's normal and what's not so always best to have a professional opinion isn't it . Timing was right too at least S could take you . Small steps I think for you xxx

Sad day for the family, Our beloved Pip crossed over the rainbow bridge. Hopefully he'll have found OH and they're off on a leisurely walk. He was a rescue dog from Turkey via Bulgaria and the Dogs Trust to DD and family 13 years ago. He had a very good life and was one of a kind. He shall be sorely missed.

Gem, thanks goodness all is "normal", although I'm sure it must be painful and uncomfortable. Take care.

WeeGranny, I'm so sad to hear your news. They leave such a huge hole in our hearts when we have to say goodbye. He was a lovely dog and you will all miss him.

Plant, it does lift your spirits when you an get out and see people. I hope you are feeling a bit stronger each day.

Oma, that mirror sounds really awkward to get to. Hopefully it doesn't need cleaning too often. Pleased to hear GS and Lucie are fine.

Lizzie, did that mean that aqua was more gentle than usual?

Our visitors arrived about 4 o'clock. We sat chatting over dinner for ages - and ache with laughing so much! Tomorrow we're meeting some friends for lunch in a pub in the next village. BIL and his OH haven't seen these friends since before Covid, so I'm sure there will be a lot of catching up.

I managed to prepare a couple of meals for later in the week, which I was very pleased about.

Good morning, after a warm day yesterday the wind has arrived, it is still very warm though.

Yes Daisy, the aqua was the normal pace! We (most of us) missed the young man, hoping he is back next week. You seem to be having a lovely time with the visitors, enjoy it all!

WG, always so sad to lose a family pet, M next door had to have her cat put to sleep a few weeks ago, she said never again, losing them is painful!

Gem, at least you now know the pain is "normal"! I do hope it soon gets better for you.

DS1 was here on Sunday, the family are going to the UK for 10 days for half term, GD1 will be 18 whilst they are away, time certainly does fly!!

I have joined the "work group" for the renovation, the first meeting is this evening, only, if the renovation goes through is yet to be seen, if 30% of the occupants vote against it the renovation won't happen, there are people in each of the 3 blocks getting signatures etc and they are well above the 30% so we shall see. It does bring a lot of work with it, some occupants are well in their 80's and not waiting for all the work etc.

                  Good morning.

I never got the chance to get back here yesterday. The new fence went up. Made a lot of dust with the angle grinder. I had to clean the windows and the outside doors.
Hubby is making the gate himself. Will post before and after photos when it's all finished.
The reason for this work is to keep troublesome kids out.
A couple of months ago, we went out one day for 10 minutes. When we got home, someone had been in and taken all the plumbs off the tree.
Hubby wasn't annoyed, he was furious.
I understand you might think its trivial, but some of the neighbours have had things stolen from their gardens.
Parents have been complained to, but their attitude is they are kids, what do you expect.
Nextdoor neighbour caught one of the kids scratching his car. Evidence is on his doorbell film. He is trying to get the council to put him some taller fencing up.
We have got some film on our doorbell of a boy about 8ish looking round our front garden.
                  Sorry for the long post.

WeeGranny, sorry for the loss of your pet.

Gem, pleased to hear your leg is as normal as it should be.

Lizzie, do you want the work to go ahead.

Nanto, your garden should be private, as for stealing the plums!!!! They are maybe children but they don't seem to be brought up in the right way, what will become of them if stealing is normal???

I don't mind the renovation going ahead, then again, if it doesn't I won't mind either. We shall have to see how it all goes.

We'll meet up for coffee before coming home.
Not sure whats for dinner, might just bung a pizza in. Notice the technical term there.

                        Good morning ladies.

Nan2, quite right to protect your garden and your privacy.

Daisy, laughing until you ache is wonderful Well done you getting ahead with the meal prep too.

                        Gosh Lizzie, GD1 almost 18!

                        How are you today Plant?

Golf for OH today. No plans or visitors expected as far as I know. Committee meeting for her at 5pm too.
I am a lot more self sufficient than last week. I can carry a drink through now with just one stick, and we have a little wheelie board thing I can put a plate or bowl on and push with my stick along the hallway between kitchen door and living room door . The things we have to do

Gemini, pleased to hear you are progressing, I hope the swelling goes down soon.

Daisy, have fun and lots of laughs with your friends. Well done for getting ahead with the meals.

Nanto, that is awful to loose all your plums, the parents must have known. I hope they had tummy ache. Beware of the dog signs might help.

I felt a lot brighter yesterday afternoon after playing with H, she is such a card. We had thunder, she ran to her mum but then wanted more thunder. Sil, who seems to have had the same virus is still feeling tired.

Lizzie, GC grow up so fast before your eyes. I hope you get the right results from your neighbours, I am sure a few will not want the upheaval and the mess.

Lovely and sunny atm, I am going to drive to the parade later and pick up a few things, DD has been bringing me bits in.

They may be children but should know better.
I’m sure if they had knocked on your door and asked nicely you would have gladly gave them some plums,
It’s your garden no one should come into it uninvited.

Nothing like a good laugh is there
Enjoy your lunch at the pub today.

The mirror is in the kitchen dinner so get greasy easily it’s big but made up of 9 smaller mirrors so quite awkward to clean .

                            Lizzie
Hope the weather here is good for your family when they come ,
I can imagine the older residents don’t want all the upheaval of the work that needs doing .

                            Gem
I have this image of you shoving this portable table around with your stick like a little old lady on a mission 😁

Such a heart break when you lose a beloved pet but it had a wonderful life and passed surrounded with love ❤️❤️❤️

Been to have my hair cut and a good natter with my hairdresser who is also a close friend ,

I have a poorly eye , started last night itching and burning,
