I think maybe you should look for someone else ,
why should you have to pay for two hours when she’s only doing one that’s not fair ,
Plus if she’s not doing a good job it’s wasted money.

    Daisy
You must have needed to go to bed early , it won’t hurt to have an early night when your so tired .
Early walk with Eva is a good idea it’s getting so dark early now isn’t it.

    MIL
Was ok had a few grumbles but nothing like normal ,
didn’t want her recycle bin out didn’t want any shopping ,
So all in all not a bad visit.

Snowing hard here side roads are dreadful but main roads are good.
We called into the farm shop on way home , they had cleared their farm track and car park and two of the owners were out spreading salt everywhere from huge bags , dumping it into wheelbarrows and rolling to where needed ,
They even had a big grit bin at end of the lane for anyone struggling to get a grip turning into the lane .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Daisy, strange enough the lady that skates is much stiffer in her whole body than others! I didn't know who she was until after the class, she will get used to using other muscles!

I heard from one of the instructors once that people that cycle a lot, Like I do, have much shorter thigh muscles, a physio once said I had short thigh muscles, now I know why!!

The sun is out after a very cold and foggy start, I did go on the bike to next village for a few things, now going for a walk to the shop in the village.

Plant, that isn't good, what is the use of paying someone for 2 hours when she whizzes round in one!

DS1 arrived home from Germany yesterday, they had a lot of snow there, he was saying the all at home have been ill with the flu all the time he was away, I asked him whey they don't ask me to help, they don't want me to catch what they have.

Lizzie, that is very thoughtful of your family not wanting to pass their bugs to you.

Nice to have an OK visit to MIL Oma.

Plant, keep warm until you feel better . I think looking a new cleaner is a good idea.

            Have a nice lunch Daisy.

The light snow has melted in the sun here.
Baby GS was tired after lunch. He never grizzles, but he was doing ,walking to the bottom of the stairs then to the dining room where his travel cot is! Cruel Grandma keeping him up! I changed him, popped him in the cot and he was asleep in 5 minutes. Note is back on front door saying Do Not Knock!!

Hope you feel better soon Glamma.

Plant, you shouldn't have to pay for 2 hours when she only does 1 hour.

Hubby says we had a very light flurry of snow earlier.
I didn't see it, i was in the shower.

Good food, good company and nice warm pub. What more do you need.

Glamma I’m sorry you are still feeling poorly and washed out.
Plant also, I hope you both feel better really soon.

It’s bitterly cold here .frosty but no snow.
Today I caught the Community best to Mumbles. It runs twice a week and is so useful as normally without a car it is two bus journeys away.
I walked from the final stop near the pier back to Verdi’s ,a lovely pizza, ice cream,Italian type coffee shop(if that makes sense) I had coffee and toasted tea cake. Then I walked along the prom into Mumbles itself. The wind off the sea was freezing! I had a quick look round the charity shops ,bought a couple of thermal tops for DSs ( not from charity shop! ) and Christmas cards for GC. Then I caught the bus into Swansea and bought a few odds and ends. I was pleased to get home for a hot cuppa.

                Hope everyone keeps cosy.

I have just had to remake my bed, I couldn’t make out what was wrong with it last night. Mandy had put the top sheet on the wrong way, it didn’t reach up to my chin and the duvet cover wasn’t fastened at the foot. I think she is going to be a bit slapdash. My bedroom mirrors are smeary. Perhaps she might be better knowing she has to fill two hours. I will see how it goes when she next comes.

Clover, that sounds like a lovely trip, I envy you living at the coast. I have never been to that area.

Lizzie, it will be interesting to see how the skater gets on - I thought she'd be quite supple and bendy! I hope the family is feeling better now.

WeeGranny, you've been in my thoughts today. Sending hugs. xx

Plant, perhaps this lady will be better on her second visit, but if not, then, yes you need to look elsewhere.

Gem, GS3 must have been really tired to drop off so quickly. I bet you kept him busy.

Oma, I thought MIL might be grumpy because of the weather, but good to hear she was ok.

Glamm, well done for posting. Take care of yourself and make sure you get properly better. Did you have snow?

Clover, I bet it was lovely at The Mumbles. I've been several time and love it there (although I've never tried the ice cream) and also Rhossili Beach. It might have been cold, but what a lovely day out and how convenient to have a Community Bus that takes you straight there. I bet you sleep well tonight with all that fresh air. x

It was lovely as always to see friends for lunch. It was bitterly cold and the sea and sky both looked grey and heavy. We had our usual lovely chat but two of the ladies chose beef stroganoff for lunch and it was awful - they sent it back. One then had scampi and chips and that was ok, but the other one just had a portion of fries and they were cold! Two of us had tuna sandwiches and they were fine, but they are due to start alterations on the Club house soon and there's a lot of uncertainty about what's happening when etc, and everyone seems unsettled. Poor Eva didn't get her walk - I don't know where the time went, and when I got back home I was so tired I fell asleep in front of the log burner.

                      Good morning everyone.
A keen frost here overnight but I don't think it has snowed.

Daisy what a pity about the disappointing lunches.

And a shame you had to remake your bed Plant, when you are paying for it to be done.

Clover although cold I bet that outing did you good. I can also imagine how glad you were to get home to the warm and a cuppa! One of my dad's sisters lived in Swansea for many years, moving back to Yorkshire when she was widowed. I have been many times but not since my teens.

Nan2, good company and nice food in the warm has to be good.

Hoping Glamma is on the mend soon, and thinking of WG at this time.

This morning OH and I are going to M&S food hall. I was going to go on Wednesday after aqua as I park near there but chickened out. I can't seem to feel confident shopping on my own yet. I know its silly as my leg is totally weight bearing etc! I have popped into M&S to collect orders and have been into our local Sainsburys. For some reason M&S food hall is defeating me!
GS2 from school this afternoon The forecast is showing sun and above freezing temperatures this afternoon, which I am glad about!

I started off the Advent calendar this morning. Don't worry if you are not an early riser. There are 23 more days left and everyone will get turns. Other years we have had to remind people in the evening that it still hasn't been done, after the initial rush dies down

I'm late to the party this morning.
I've been to the post office and posted the Christmas cards that i need to post.

DS1 coming for dinner,so i've got that prepared. Doing a roast beef dinner.
Joint is in the slow cooker.

Gem, our large M&S in town closed on Monday.
They have opened a new one in the retail park just on the edge of town, but its only a food hall.
It will be strange in town now that the large store has closed.

Hubby out for a couple of hours with his pal this morning.
After dinner he is out with DS1 for an hour.

SIL can’t get the van out of their cul de sac to bring dog or get to work ,
roads are gridlocked with cars sliding all over and blocking them,

No gritters have been out by the sounds of it ,
SIL took Storm for a walk early this morning he said it’s hard to walk in .
Theres a multi vehicle accident on the A19 at the end of our highway 2 hour delay expected.

Nice dinner for a cold day Nan2.

                            Oma stay warm and safe.

We still have an M&S in town. Also a big one on an out of town retail park a couple of miles from us. Its a short walk to the leisure centre, whose car park is always full. Hence parking near M&S when I go to aqua!
We may not be going this morning. We had forgotten the plumber is coming to fit the two new radiators we need, ahead of fitting a new boiler next week. It depends how long he takes, we may not have time.

                              Good Friday morning, everyone.

Gem, it looks as though M&S are doing a lot of opening, closing or extending their stores. There's a huge one near DS2 and DIL2's and they seem to be keeping the same footprint but giving a lot more space to the food hall and less for clothes or household things. The Food Hall in the town where my DS2 and DIL have their shop seems to be keeping busy, which is good as it adds value to the high street. I drove through there yesterday and thought the town was looking good, with nice decorations etc, whereas a lot of towns seem to be going downhill. You've done very well with shopping so I'm sure you'll be happy to go to M&S on your own when the time is right for you. Do you use a trolley rather than a basket?

Nanto, that roast beef dinner sounds delicious. I bet DS1 is really looking forward to it. Enjoy your day of visitors and quiet.

Oma, you have had a lot of snow! Certainly best to stay home and keep warm. The postman will do well to get round with all those blocked roads. Does Storm like the snow?

No particular plans for me today. OH is going out to get some bits to cap various parts of the kitchen plumbing off ready to try and free the drain. I need to do some housework. Everything has got behind with us being ill last week, and I still haven't got much energy - the cold weather doesn't help, and not using the sink makes cooking etc much slower, to say nothing of the washing up! I also need to get our foreign Christmas cards written and posted this week-end.

No snow here thank goodness, just Jack Frost. Back still sore, no idea how I did it as I don’t suffer with back problems usually. I need to go out to collect a parcel and a few bits from a supermarket but I think I will leave that for another day. I am going up to see the lights in London and a fish and chip meal with my WI on Tuesday, must get better for that.

Oma, that sounds like a very big snow fall, take care. I bet Storm is pleased with the snow.

Nanto, my Christmas card list gets smaller every year, I hardly have any to post. It is very expensive to send cards now, I deliver the local ones by hand. Must start writing them but I need a few more. Roast beef sounds lovely, the family will enjoy that.

There will be a lot of excited children this morning opening their first window on their Advent cards. I expect my GC will be H will not know what it is all about.

Daisy, that sounds a very disappointing lunch food wise, at least the company was good.
