502a4260-ea25-48b9-bd40-28509fa61b1b.jpgI got the growth chart for G2 finished this afternoon and hung on the wall. GD2 can decorate it when she is here. I am pleased it is finished as I want to get some sewing done and this has been holding me up! Sorting it out in my head was the most work!!!!

We aren't going out today. Not used to staying in on a Saturday, but hubby has something he wants to get on with. I'm sure I'll find plenty to do.

Hope Plant is feeling better today.

Last week I bought 2 filled Yorkshire puddings, new to Iceland, so that's dinner sorted.

              Good morning everyone.

What are your Yorkshires filled with Nan2? I hope they are yummy.

Lizzie, that is lovely . I think we need a whole section called Lizzie's Creations!

My leg was so swollen and sore after yesterday's manipulations etc I had to rest. OH raised the end of the bed for me and it is a lot better this morning.
I shall only do minimal exercises today though, I think it needs a bit more recovery time!

                  Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what a lovely graphic to greet the week-end. I'd be interested to know what the filled Yorkshire puddings are like as well.

Gem, I agree - Lizzie's creations deserve a special spot on Creative Grannies. None of us seem to have been "creative" for a while, so it might encourage some of us to get knitting, sewing, painting and crafting again.

It sounds sensible to do minimum exercises today - but it was a good idea to raise the end of the bed last night.

Oma, how is your sore arm today? I missed the bit about you climbing on work tops! I seem to remember you were so worried about B climbing up ladders that you got rid of yours. Pot and kettle comes to mind, young lady. Take care. xx

Plant, I do hope you're feeling better today, and I'm sure you're relieved to have DD and SIL home. How is SIL? Please don't post if you don't feel up to it. We all understand. xx

Glamm, that accident on the M53 was awful. I can't imagine how the families of the bus driver and the young girl feel, and it must have been terrifying for the pupils on the bus. We have a large college in our village and students travel a long way, many of them on double decker buses. I always worry when I see them driving across our narrow, winding roads many with adverse cambers.

Has your DD left for her holiday now?

It's bright and sunny here and I've got a load of cushion covers etc in the wash - should dry nicely outside. I hope the lawn dries up as well - it definitely needs a cut. I'm trying to get the house sorted out a bit before our visitors arrive on Monday. It's OH's younger brother who we stayed with for their older brother's funeral this week. It had been planned for last week but it made sense to change it to this week.

I am feeling a bit washed out but on the mend. I need to go and stock up some things but I shall see how I feel after I have a shower. DD and Sil are out overnight, Silā€™s family are going to Pevensey Bay to scatter his motherā€™s ashes.

There seems to be so many tragic deaths involving children lately,

Gemini, I think your knee is telling you to rest it a bit today

Nanto, not sure what a filled Yorkshire Pudding is, I will look it up

                      Morning Ladies

                      Nanto
Let us know what you thought of the filled Yorkshire puds , itā€™s something MIL might like .

                      Gem
Be gentle with yourself today , no use pushing it and giving yourself more pain
Let it settle and start afresh tomorrow xx

                      Daisy
my arm is fine now thank you for asking it was just the effects of the jabs šŸ˜
I know about the ladders but they were ones that reached to the roof ,
I admit I think Iā€™m getting too old to climb on work tops ,
The big ladders for likes of decorating are a faff to bring in from the Shed thatā€™s why I climb up there ,
Brian being taller than me can just climb half way up those ladders to reach the cupboard tops .
The curse of being a midget means I canā€™t reach anywhere šŸ¤£

Hope the weather stays fine enough for you to get the jobs done before Monday.

I have done my usual Saturday blitz downstairs didnā€™t take long it wasnā€™t dirty anyway,

B has been out and cut back dead flowers and planted some Cyclamen I bought yesterday ,
I have two that have been in the boarder a couple of years and have never died back they are quite large now and flowering again , so I bought a few more to keep them company ,
Its a constant battle with the leaves now , we cleared them yesterday within a hour the garden was covered again .

Think DD is walking over with Storm this morning ,She will see what the weather is like first .

Plant our posts crossed ,you take your time Im sure you can manage with what you have till maybe tomorrow when you might feel better xxx

Gems I'm hoping you are feeling brighter and the exercises are maybe getting easier you must be so brave I am a wimp when it comes to pain the sciatica can confirm that.

Daisy,my DD left this morning at 10am they don't fly until I think 3pm but with Road works etc they got there early they got through check in etc quickly and G was enjoying his 1st beer by 11.30 am he is winding down already.

After such a lovely sunny day yesterday the sky is showing signs of rain clouds I hope they blow over and be able to hang some dark jumpers out for DS1.

I've been busy all morning have done all the floors with spray mop and hoovered bedroom carpet I even lifted out the bed drawers and hoovered underneath them what a palaver that was !! there was bits and bobs in the drawers I had forgotten about ?a baseball cap I won in Las Vegas & Vegas key rings can't think why they where in the drawer I must have unpacked and promised to put them away later for later to never occur.

Going to finish my Spring cleaning not too much to do now then will find a netflix film to watch I've got a list I am slowly going through.

Catch up soon bye for now x

Right. Yorkshire puddings. They were ok.
Hubby's comment was well i wouldn't want one every week, but he said he had tasted worse.
I wouldn't buy the beef or stew ones because i wouldn't trust what the meat would be like.
We will stick to the chicken ones. I will buy again, handy to keep in.
Oh and the foil dishes they come in can be used again in the oven.

Started raining about 1ish. I had just brought a load of lights in off the line.
They were dry.I've been lucky with the weather yesterday and today.
I have ironed yesterdays washing, didn't get them done yesterday with nephew coming.

Gem hope you aren't too uncomfortable with your knee.

I have done that put things in a drawer when emptying a case meaning to put it away and either forget about it or forget where I put it ,
Your A sounded very excited to be finally going on holiday šŸ˜

Im pleased you didnā€™t have to go out and you got to enjoy the sunshine instead šŸ„°

Did the bedrooms then we both went out to tidy garden again,
Its no better now as the wind picked up and itā€™s raining again
Its a case of clearing the leaves ever other day just to keep on top of them.

B has ordered a Chinese for tea , we donā€™t often have a take away so itā€™s a treat .
