Good Tuesday morning everyone. It's showery and chilly here. I've just got back from taking OH's car to the garage and it was damp and misty over the Forest - felt like October!

Nanto, enjoy your shopping. As Oma says treat yourself - we all need cheering up with this weather.

Oma, what a co-incidence with the buttercup. Our lawn is more buttercups than grass and if I don't mow it short they flower - you're welcome to come and pick them anytime.

Gem, safe journey home. I hope the drive from the airport is ok - it doesn't look as though it's going to be sunny sunglasses weather. Very wise to keep your mac handy.

Plant, how are y our aches, pains and bruises now? xx

I've given up waiting for a dry day and started to do the washing. I don't know where it all comes from! Zero chance of it drying outside though.

I'll pop over to DS2's later. We left Eva's treat pouch there and some dog towels so I'll collect those and leave 'well done' cards and some money for the GDs, who have both had really good school reports.

Plant B hated the seat over the bath , he likes to lie down but as you say you can’t and can’t get enough water over you .
A nice hot bath when your all aches is lovely,
Not the same standing in a shower is it, Best not to go and sit on a hard chair when your so sore .

I washed this morning , I said the same only two of us but the basket is always full.

Weather was beautiful this morning. Now,it is dark and looks like we are in for a downpour.

Plant, sorry to hear about your fall, hope the pain soon eases! I hope you found the little package on your door handle and that you enjoy them! I was at the YR2 dress rehearsal this morning and after an hour on hard chair I don't blame you not going to WI. Didn't do my hip much good, but the children did very well!

The rain has appeared again this afternoon after a lovely sunny morning. Really quite depressing! A friend messaged me from Scotland yesterday to say they were sitting in the garden with the sun block on! I was planning on cutting the grass this afternoon, but after last night's downpour,the grass is still too wet to cut. Supposed to be a heatwave at the end of the week, so I'll get it done then!

Went and got some paint samples for the chest of drawers in my shower room. I was horrified at the price of the tester pots! Used to be able to get a whole tin of paint for the price some of them were!

Nothing like some new underwear to cheer yourself up is there Nanto? I seem to have changed shape, so I really need to go and get fitted but the only place here is JLewis. I used to go to an independent bra shop, but she sadly closed during lockdown. Spent a fortune in there!!

WG we went to B&Q a couple weeks ago for emulsion £93 for two pots I was genuinely shocked.

We are finally home!

The flight was delayed, we were over an hour late, meaning we hit heavier teatime traffic, meaning we missed Out Tesco delivery . It has been cancelled. We were back within 15 minutes of the start of the hour slot but apparently they don't try again within the slot which I find a bit unreasonable! They often arrive 15 minutes early and I accommodate them! Rant over!

Hubby is 76 today and we were going for a pub meal, but another couple want to go with us, we don't know yet if they can go today or tomorrow.
We'll just have to see how today goes.

Aqua class this morning, Tesco are delivering between 4 and 5 and I am eating out with friends at 6. This is the meal I had to cancel before my holiday as I wasn't very well.

Wee Granny, what a lovely surprise. You must have called when I was in the shower, sorry I missed you. I wondered who had left the little brown bag hanging from my door handle but there was a little clue, you posted you had made some mixed fruit jam. I decided I would have a tea instead of a dinner and boiled the eggs I had planned to use as an omelette followed by your lovely scones and home made jam.

I spent the afternoon with a friend whose OH had died recently. Still feeling battered and bruised, I shall go to board games this afternoon. Lovely and sunny atm, hope it lasts.

Nanto, happy birthday to your OH, hope you manage to celebrate with a meal out. How are the gates? Are they opening and shutting okay.

Oma, you are missing your shopping, does B get it right? Nice there is a dog walker some days to relieve you of that job.

Gem, I agree, it would have been good if your order had been delivered! As you say, they often deliver before the time slot, and if they'd come back even 20 minutes later you'd have been there. The time slots are obviously for the shops' convenience, not the customers'. It must have felt strange waking up and thinking you're still in Malta. Was it the sight of the sun that did it? Enjoy aqua and your meal out with friends tonight. Was OH ok with her glasses?

WeeGranny, the weather is depressing, but hopefully we're going to get a glimpse of summer now. I don't know why paint has got so expensive - it's out of all proportion, I'm sure! What colour are you going to do the chest of drawers?

Oma, it's surprising how much longer any job around the house takes when you've got a furry 'helper'. Eva's special superpower it knowing exactly where you want to go with the vacuum cleaner and plonking herself in the way.

A busy morning at Daisy Towers. A lot of phone calls, messages and things not getting crossed off my "To Do" list. It's dog training this afternoon but I have at least got one load of washing that can go on the line. We had a lovely meal with very good friends last night but were shocked that we were still sitting round the table chatting at 11.45 pm!

Storm will lay down at the most inconvenient time and place , right in the door way or middle of the floor instead of his bed 🙄
This morning he waited till the bed was made then jumped all over it messing it up again 😳

Good aqua class followed by coffee with 2 of my friends this morning. I will definitely be here when Tesco arrive this time! OH is playing golf Away match ,today and tomorrow so straight back to it!
