Good morning, very cold and slushy! I have been to do the coffee but I walked there.

Gem, those bugs spread so fast! GD1 is doing work experience in a nursery, the children are from birth to 2 years, the first few weeks she was there she took all the bugs home with her! Now they are all immune!

Daisy, I hope you soon settle in at home and get all the washing etc done.

We are going to aqua by car today.

GM, like Daisy, I love a salad.

Daisy, I am sure you are pleased to get back home but although a worrying time you were able to spend some time with GS’s. Eva was not going to let you both out of her sight by sleeping on your bed.

Gemini, so sorry your family has been hit by a tummy bug, good not to mix until it is gone.

Grauntie Enjoy your brisk walk and your cards later. Thanks for the advice about the book and the loo. Needless to say I am not looking forward to it.

Nanto, a free day! Spoil yourself.

Oma, No wonder you had a bad night, you have borne all the news for us about our dear friend Glamm. I hope you sleep well tonight.

            Thank you Oma, that's lovely.
I hope your headache lifts soon xx

Lizzie, when I started work with children I had severe tonsillitis 3 times in the first term. Not again after that, as you say, I gathered some immunity!

Oma, lovely words - thank you. I do hope you sleep better tonight.

Plant, I'm still catching up with posts - when is your colonoscopy? (Sorry, if I've missed it somewhere)

Lizzie, the weather sounds worse for you than it is here. It's been really cold, but dry and sunny. Even the leaves on the ground are dry and crisp again.

There are such horrible bugs around at the moment. When I was teaching I always used to get a sore throat and lose my voice before the autumn half-term. Obviously talking too much.

I got most of the washing done, and dried a lot in the dryer. There's a bit of ironing to do, and a load of towels to wash tomorrow. OH did a bit of shopping in the village, and I made a vegetable and rice noodle stir fry for dinner. It was one of those "throw it in and hope for the best" meals, but was quite nice.

DS1 has been out for the first time since his operation today. They went to the bathroom showroom - they're doing up the cloakroom. He did over 1,000 steps which he was really pleased about, even though he was really tired when he got home.

                      Cold again.

Daisy, your DS is doing so well. He's certainly got the right attitude to beat his illness.

Hubby out this morning, but after he gets home, we are going to see his sister. I think her hubby is going somewhere on Thursday and he's asked my hubby to go with him. I think they are going to look at a car.

On our way home we are calling in Iceland (shop). Might as well go on discount day.

When we get home I'll put a cottage pie in the air fryer. Took the pie out of the freezer last night.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Daisy, the colonoscopy is booked for Thursday 25th January. I forgot that it was you who had the all singing all dancing hearing aids. That is amazing your DS already going out, so brave and positive.

WI this morning so I shall have to pop back.

                          Morning Nanto

I call car shopping boys with toys 😁
May as well get a little discount when you can it all adds up 😁

                          Daisy
Well done your DS , a little normality in his life but tiring all the same ,
B always said positive attitude goes a long way xxx

I slept well last night , I was in bed by 10.30 and didn’t wake till 5am only woke then as I needed the bathroom or I may have slept more ,
B said I snored , I only do that when I’m exhausted and in a sound sleep.

When we went to M&S yesterday we bought a luxury Pizza,
Im not a fan B fancied it but wouldn’t buy a big one just for himself so I said I would have some for tea ,
I wasn’t looking forward to it but I was really surprised it was delicious .
So delicious in-fact I had another slice .
Never been known for me to do that .

B just put the bin out he said although it looks nice it’s bitter cold .
I want to go to Farm foods so it will be a hat and scarf job today.

                            Good morning ladies.

                            Pretty graphic Nan2.

Daisy your son did well getting out so soon.

I hope its not too cold going to the WI Plant.

Oma, you will have to get that pizza again for any easy meal if you both like it. I don't like many shop bought pizzas, but Aldi do a rectangular wood fired one which is lovely (or they did, we haven't had one for a while!)

Library for me this morning and school pick up for GS1 this afternoon. Not sure about his club, we shall see.
Golf for OH. They are all glad to be back playing.

Good morning, frost and snow here, the local roads are like ice rinks so I won't be out on the bike today, I try not to think of the girls, or anyone else, out on their bikes.

We had a good aqua class, the young man is very good, the best we have had over the years. He told us he works for an agency and has work up to September, now we are all making the council see how good he is and well worth him being there permanently.

Gem, I am not keen on pizza, I did enjoy one, many years ago, high on the mountains in Italy whilst ski-ing, I had difficulty at the time to chew though, I didn't realise I had broken my jaw.

The sun is coming out so the roads could clear.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's bright, sunny and freezing cold here!

Nanto, I'm sure the "boys" will have fun looking at cars! Like most of us grannies, it's no something I ever do willingly, but my OH and DS1 seem to enjoy it! Cottage pie is good on a cold day. Enjoy.

Plant, thank you for the reminder of that date. I hope it all goes well. Enjoy the WI meeting. I hope the hall is nice and warm.

Oma, you must have needed that sleep. I hope you feel great this morning - full of the joys of Spring (which is just round the corner!). What flavour was the pizza? Keep warm while you're out.

Lizzie, hurrah for the sun! But leaving your bike at home is safer in this weather. I hope the council listen to your aqua class and keep that young man on permanently. How did you break your jaw - it must have been very painful.

OH wants to do some work on the kit car today, so I hope he puts a heater in the garage - it's so cold!

DS1 has to go to up to London today to have the staples removed. I'm sure he will be a lot more comfortable afterwards.

I'm going to make some soup - it's definitely soup weather - and (maybe!) get the ironing done! We shall see.
