Plant doing the improvements now will be an investment when it’s time to sell,
At some point DD wants the kitchen cupboard doors replacing , they in good condition but as she said it can’t hurt to renew them .
GS is getting very excited now .

I remember the carry on with the case , that’s the year you booked into the wrong Premier inn isn’t it ?
Tizzy bless her always had a solution didn’t she ❤️

        Daisy
Ibet those girls had a lovely time and will be wanting to go again 😁

Lizzie had a laugh at the old English lady remark 🤣🤣🤣

Did the washing dry ? Usually if I bring the washing in if it rains you can guarantee it’s a short shower then I have to hang it all out again 🙄

The first time we went into Iceland on a Tuesday and the young man on the till took the 20% off I was quite put out he automatically classed me as a pensioner,
B said well we are but I was still miffed 😁

Oma there wasn't a lot of washing and it was all dry, so I didn't have to put it out again

Have spent the last few days in Aldeburgh with DS and now spending the night in Cambridge to have a meal at our favourite Turkish restaurant. It has been so good to spend some time with him doing absolutely nothing! No cooking, we ate out or had fish and chips, gave each other space to do our own thing and walked for miles! Weather was good apart from a storm, but that was through the night and sat on beach enjoying the sunshine and the sound of the sea! Back to auld claes and porridge tomorrow sadly!

Good morning. We had a lovely sunrise earlier.

Hoping to get the gardening done this morning.

WG, glad you have had a lovely time.

When I was in town yesterday I went to M&S and bought some colcannon mash. Also bought some corned beef crispbakes to try. Hope we like them, I'll let you know. Think I'll serve some green beans with them.

                Good morning ladies.

Cloudy here. Where did that sun go to??

WG, I'm glad you had a nice break. No cooking is always holiday in itself!

Corned beef crispbakes sound good Nan2! I can't eat beef but it doesn't mean I wouldn't like them

Aquafit for me this morning, and my pre op assessment this afternoon. It seems odd to have it 4 weeks early, but that's the date I was given!
It is the funeral for OH's golfing friend this afternoon . I would have gone with her but for this appointment. A sad day for them all. Her husband is a golfer who belongs to the same club so they are having the funeral tea at the golf club.

Good morning, warm here, rain forecast for tomorrow.

I have just been on the bike to the next village, the school children were on their way to their schools, 90% on E bikes!!

Gem, very sad day for your DH and her friends, out neighbour will be buried this afternoon, I did go to the condolence evening, now there is another card hanging in the hall, another neighbour has died, he has been in a hospice for 10 weeks so it wasn't a shock to read the card. He will be cremated on Friday. Cheerful this morning!

WG, you seemed to have enjoyed your few days away with DS. I must be strange, I love cooking on holiday, wherever I went with DH I would scour the local supermarkets to cook the meals. I still do in fact, I go away in a few weeks and love to cook for myself.

A sad day for S and friends ,
Hope the assessment doesn’t take too long ,
I had mine about 4-6 weeks before my op on my neck ,seems a bit silly as anything can happen before the op can’t it ..

B got X-ray on his knee at 10 and hairdresser coming at 11.

Apart from that I’m doing nothing today .

Good Wednesday morning evryone. The sun's shining and it promises to be warm.

I still havent' had a minute to sit down and read back over the posts, so forgive me for not commenting. yet.

It's back to our usual Wednesday routine today. OH had his friend helping on the kit car, and I've got dog training this afternoon. Eva needs a walk first and the kitchen looks like a bomb's hit it, so I'd better get a move on.

Gemini, that does seem very early for an assessment, friend of mine went for an assessment for hip surgery and the Consultant said he could do it the following Monday! Sad day for S.

Daisy, pleased that you and the girls had a lovely holiday, was Eva happy to see you or did she sulk?

Oma, good to hear you are planning a quiet day today. I am sure GS is thrilled with the house

Lizzie, in a way sad to see most of the children going to school are riding E Bikes when peddling is a good exercise for them.

WG that sounds like a lovely break for you and your son.

I am not planning much today, got a bit of tidying up in the garden, I have been chopping bits but too tired to sweep them up so that will be my first job. Sop looking forward to out meet up. Is Glamm still not able to post on here?

Plant, I agree with you about the young ones on their E bikes, my physio says the same.

The corned beef crispbakes were all right. i will buy them again.
I will probably try the fish ones Oma.

It started raining just after 7 this morning,we thought gardening would be off.
The sun came out about 10 is,so we were able to get the garden done after all.

After dinner we went to the bungalow to see bro in law and his Mrs.
Just after we came home, hubby's pal called. We sat in the garden with tea and biscuits.

                            Gem,sad day for OH.

Thought i would post an up to date photo of Tommie.

                                How cute Tommie is

Plant, Glamma needs to register. To do this she needs a different email address. Her friend was going to help her, but if not we will sort it out in Birmingham. She is really looking forward the trip and meeting us all.

All went smoothly at the pre op assessment. I was there just over an hour.
The funeral went well too . It was a Humanist service.
