Good morning, Daisy I will do what you suggest with my sight, the girl said I can go in anytime for her to check. I have no problems at the moment, not that I know of.

Gem you will be tired with 2 young children.

We were forecast thunderstorms yesterday afternoon, I went to have my hair cut and even went in the car, just a few drops of rain on the way home and that was it, I did hear thunder in the night but it was very distant.

Nanto, you would be pleased with the results at the hospital.

I want to go to the gym then do and do the plants at the centre, the art class starts again next week, 2 months seems to have flown by!

Sun is shining, so I'm going to see if I have enough washing to make a load. Not sure what else I will be doing

Daisy, days don't always go to plan.

Oma, you've had a couple of good visits with MIL, she probably thought you due a bad one.

Dinner is jacket potato, tuna mayo and cheese.

      Have a good day ladies.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

        Good morning ladies.

You are quite right Daisy , older bodies are not as suited to babycare! He's a good baby but at 13 months active and curious!
I think if I was better physically ( without knee, arm and shoulder pain , and able to carry the baby more than a few steps) it would be OK. I love having the cousins together. It is what it is as they say!

Today I am meeting Lizzie's and my mutual friend IE. We cancelled our last lunch meeting as their dog had to be put down that day.
First there is reflexology, moved from last Friday due to my brief cystitis attack. There isn't a lot of time to get into town for lunch so OH will drop me off and I'll get the bus back .
        Happy Friday everyone.

Good Friday morning, everyone. The weather looks a bit better after yesterday's heavy rain. Lizzie - we got your thunderstorm. It wasn't a bad one, just enough to frighten Eva.

Gem, I hope you're not too tired after yesterday's busy day. Enjoy your lunch with your and Lizzie's mutual friend. I hope the reflexology helps with some of your aches and pains. How did S's day helping with the golf competition go? It was a long day for her.

Nanto - I hope your sunshine lasts if you have got a load of washing to do.

I'm not sure what's happening today. It's GD1's birthday today so hopefully we'll see her at some point. It really doesn't seem 13 years since we were gazing on this tiny baby, the first girl in our family.

Gemini, it is very tiring looking after active babies.

Nanto, dinner sounds yummy, have a good day.

            Busy Lizzie, enjoy your day

I am hoping that my posting is back to normal, we shall see.

Lizzie, my OH has a sort of test chart he can use if he's worried his Macular Degeneration has got worse (although he's never used it!) and it seems a pity there is nothing similar to check on cataract conditions. When changes take place gradually we tend not to notice them so much. But I hope your sight is stable and doesn't give you any problems.

Plant, our posts crossed. I hope whatever the techie blip was is sorted out but let us know if you have any more blips. xx

Blip seems to have righted itself thank you Daisy.

My Optitian is monitoring my cataract and I can feel things are not quite right, glasses not comfortable with close up.

Need to go grocery shopping, not sure whether to go to Waitrose, M&S which is closest or Co-op. I think Co-op might win the vote as it is in a parade which has a very nice coffee shop.

Plant, how nice to have a good choice of shops like that. Did the Co-op win in the end?

Oma, it sounds as though the flat is almost finished! I bet it looks great. Hope you're not too tired, though.

Gem, The years have flown by, haven't they. Almost as soon as they go back to school some of GD1's friends will be celebrating their 14th birthdays as well! Still, at least she's officially a teenager now. . Glad you've enjoyed your reflexology and lunch with your friend. What did OH cook tonight?

I did the shopping I missed out on yesterday this morning. The village was very busy with visitors and there was a long queue outside the village bakery. Don't blame them, everything they make is delicious. This afternoon we went over to take GD1 a token present and card the something for her little sister. The family had clubbed together to get her a MacBook as her main present. Her old laptop was over 5 years old and grindingly slow, so she was literally speechless when she opened it up. We had tea and birthday cake with them. We took Eva with us so she could have a play with Cooper - they're always pleased to see each other. Cooper was quite upset when we put her harness on to go back home.

I'm still not sleeping well, so I'm going to bed early (for me!) tonight. Night, night. x

                        Good morning.
Had rain during the night, but it's dry now.

Daisy, I can just imagine how happy GD was with her present.

We are going into town today. Calling at B & M and Homebargains on the way. Might have a browse in the Range as well. They are 3 of my favourite shops.
We will eat out, so no cooking.

Nothing planned, GD2 birthday today, she has been here for over a week as her partner has been away working, they are off on holiday today, another trip to the airport for Sil. GS2 and his wife arrived last evening for the BH. H here today so they have a house full next door again. We had a Chinese take-away yesterday evening but it was a bit late for me and I had a problem with it.

Daisy, what an exciting present for your GD. Since you asked, I went to the Co=op and had a coffee in my favourite cafe. Very exciting, I bought a new saucepan in the hardware shop.

Oma, now don’t overdo things in the flat, we want you safe and well for the meet up. My DD and Sil have booked to see a comedy show in Birmingham.

Nanto have a lovely day out, no cooking for you today.

Gemini, I nearly missed your post. It doesn’t seem possible that your GS3 is nearly off walking. Have a lovely day, cocktails indeed! I had my first one in Cornwall this year, I quite enjoyed it.

Good morning, at least it is cooler here with more wind. I went to the Lidl at 8am, it was only 14 degrees! I have just been for eggs etc and now got pears in the slow cooker.

Nanto, those type of shops are my favourites as well, I love B&M when in the UK.

Daisy, we have fresh bakers in the village, the Dutch are big bread eaters!! DS2 was only saying last week when I was there that the price of fresh bread from the bakers is unbelievable. DS1 was only asking DIL last week not to forget his bread from Ikea, they do have very good sourdough bread.

Plant, it is a coming and going of visitors at yours!

Daisy, your GD would be delighted with her birthday present.

Oma, you will have been so busy, I hope the drive home isn't too busy for you.

I am going to see if I can find a pattern to make black trousers, I must still have it as I made brown ones last year, they are a really good fit as well. It will keep me occupied.
