Been to See to cats , while Storm is with the dog walker,
Then to pets at home to buy him a new toy , it’s his 8th Birthday tomorrow , card balloons and candle for his cake bought ,
Making a dog friendly cake later for him , as in plain sponge with buttercream , or squirts cream we haven’t decided yet , he does like squirt cream though .

Not much else to do today.

A little bit late to say Good Tuesday Morning! Last night we had torrential rain- I even put wellies on to take Eva for her late evening walk! We had a lovely meal at the pub next door. It’s actually a 15-minute walk through the woods but given the weather we went on the car! It’s dry but chilly this morning! Not great but better than yesterday!

I enjoyed my wander around town.
Stocked up at the butchers and got a card for hubby's birthday next week.
Bought a few other bits and bobs.
But, get this ladies, i bought some new kitchen scissors.
My others were getting a bit blunt,and hubby has been cutting cooking foil to sharpen them up.
It did help a bit,but i decided to buy some new ones.

We had quite a bit of rain during the night, but its kept dry so far today.

It’s nice and sunny and quite warm here , a bit breezy but it’s giving a nice feeling.
I have a headache , not had one for a while I think it’s because I’m tired .

I have had a busy day! Busy morning at the library, then I needed petrol so I drove to Asda filling station then popped into Asda for nappies and a couple of other things.
Home for a late lunch then dropped OH near the hospital to visit a friend. To school for GS1, home for bit , gave him his tea then took him to the youth club. Then met OH down the road to give her a lift home.

Sad news is that her friend who has been poorly on and off for a while has an aggressive cancer of the liver and gall bladder they think. Last week gallstones was suspected. If only it had only been that They are waiting on biopsies but they don't think it will be good news. This is one of the 3 golf friends that OH goes to Portugal on golfing holidays with. They are booked for next summer.

Nice and bright this morning but on the cool side.

No set plans for today for me. Hubby might be going to help nephew with something.
I'll probably be pottering, always something to do.

When I was in town yesterday I bought some colcannon mash in M & S, so that's for dinner with mince and onion, that's out of the freezer, will have veggies with it.

Oh Gem, that is sad news about OH's friend.

I was watching Animal park yesterday and one of the wolves had gallstones they were in his urethra and they were trying to flush them back into his bladder to operate ,
If they didn’t move they would have to put it to sleep but at the last attempt they did.
You don’t think of Animals having gallstones do you ,

Wait for Dog walker to collect Storm then go see to cats .
Its his birthday today he’s 8 😁

We we’re out for his last walk of the day last night and the way we walk brings us to the back of our fence ,
On Sunday I noticed a few mushrooms growing ,
Last night they were the size of dinner plates they are huge ,
Obviously steered him well away but I’ve never seen mushrooms that size and to grow as quick .

Nature is fascinating isn’t it .

Good morning, we have had some rain in the night but not much.


I have been picking black currants, got a message on the app from the allotment that there are so many, she wasn't exaggerating! The branches are bending there are so many on.

You did have a busy day yesterday Gem.

Nanto, like you I splashed out on something for the kitchen the other week, 2 peeling knives!!

Oma, enjoy the birthday party with Storm!!!

I am doing a circuit training soon then to DS1 this afternoon to see them before they leave tomorrow.

DS2 phoned last night, he is busy sawing the branches, tree's etc from the storm damage, they were straight in the path of the storm.

Craft group for me this morning and board games this afternoon. Plenty of exercise for the brain but a rest for the body.

Lizzie, it has been a very good year here for soft fruits, I was given gooseberries.

Oma give Storm a cuddle from me for his birthday, shame the family are away.

Gemini, busy day for you yesterday, dropping people off and picking people up. I hope GS1 enjoyed his Youth Club.

Aquafit this morning, then coffee with my friend (the other one is aboard, yet again!!) I am having my toe nails gelled again this afternoon. This will last me for the rest of the summer including my holiday next month.
I have GS1's guitar, so either DD is coming here or I am dropping it there on the way back from the pool. We don't see each other on Tuesdays now as I drop GS at the club and she collects him from there so it will be good to meet up.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. Just popping in to say hello. More rain last night and today started dull. It’s still chilly even though the sun has just put in a brief appearance. Very brief! We may go into Sidmouth for a stroll along the prom this afternoon.

Hubby been to help nephew move some furniture.
While he was out i decided to cut the grass.
Some iffy looking clouds were around but it stayed dry.

Storm had a good Birthday so far ,already murdered his Leo lion toy , I’ve had to stitch him together again 🙄😁

We had a really heavy down pour about a hour ago but it’s sunshine now ,
I suppose one good thing we don’t need to water ours or our DD garden today ,

SIL sent some photos they are at a monkey sanctuary today , I told him not to let DD smuggle one or two out 😁
They were at a Petting zoo yesterday and she’s talking about getting more Guinea pigs , she would have real pigs if she had the garden space , honestly that girl is a push over where animals are concerned .
