They brought the new puppy Harlo a black lab , my goodness you forget how energetic puppies are 😁

    Lizzie
nice bike I bet GD will be pleased with it .

    Gem
    hope you arrived safely

    Daisy
I did the same while B was out I cleaned the Bakery cupboard out things had just been pushed in anywhere
We have things in baskets like Dried fruit in one, Different sugars in another, etc but they were all muddled up and sticky ,
I found a tin of black treacle that had fallen over and oozed all over the bottom of one basket , yuk .

Must have been a cleaning day 😁

B had a nice time catching up with his pals

Oma, lovely photos, and don't both GS2 and GD look grown up! I hope he has a good birthday - 15 already! Time flies. That puppy is absolutely gorgeous. Labs are my favourite breed and he is very handsome. I can imagine he's into everything though. Glad B enjoyed his day with his pals.

Black treacle - ugh, what a mess! I have baskets for some things in my baking cupboard, but keep things like honey, golden syrup etc on the carousel in the kitchen. I put most dry good into those clip lock containers and need to get a few more!

Gem, I'm glad you like the holiday house - have a great time. That dog will have the best time with so much fuss and attention!

Lizzie, the bike looks great and the carrier on the front will be very useful. A good buy!

He's at the bite anything and everything with his razor sharp little teeth and running away with anything he can get hold of stage.
but he already at 10 weeks knows Sit, stay, paw, and sit between your legs . He doesn't like the palm command for stay he barks at you as he already knows that means he can't jump or move 😁 so gets angry

Good morning, Oma, the photo's are lovely, the children are certainly growing up fast, and the dog, so cute, begging eyes!!!

I need to sort a few cupboards out in the kitchen now it is cooler, DS2 and DIL are eating here today before we go to the party so I will put pasta sauce in the slow cooker.

Daisy, those cycles are so handy with the crates, very popular as well.

I saw photo's of my nephew's eldest son on Facebook in his gala suit, smart!

Good morning. A bit drizzly at the moment.

Today we are having a family meet up at the local pub. Relatives are coming over from Wigan. They want to see mam and dad's graves. Not wanting to sound disrespectful but me and hubby won't do that part of the meet up.

Oma lovely photos. Yuk to cleaning up the black treacle.

Gem, glad you are happy with the holiday home.

                Good morning everyone.

Oma, good to see the photos of the GC, and puppy!

Lizzie I hope it all goes well for the party and you have a good time.

Nan2 it will be nice to meet up with family, but I can understand you not joining them to visit the graves.

It looks a bit drizzly here too. In fact I don't think it has stopped since we arrived.
We had a lovely evening. Home cooked Indian meal( no chili version for me), a couple of glasses of wine, delicious coffee and walnut cake and board games.
Not sure what we will do today. We will all eat breakfast together then take it from there. We are getting fish and chips for everyone tonight.

No plans for today, very unusual for me. It is very dull and we have had rain.

Gemini, I hope the weather improves for you. Food sounds good.

Oma, I hope that puppy didn’t get his sharp teeth anywhere near your new furniture. Lovely to see the family

Nanto, I hope the family meet-up goes well.

A friend gave me some gooseberries so I made 3 small crumbles, H made a hole in one. My DD and Sil are looking after H for the week, GD and her OH are flying off to the Dominican Republic this morning.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. We've had rain overnight and it's dull and breezy this morning.

Nanto, I can understand you not wanting to visit Mam and Dad's grave, but I hope you enjoy seeing the family.

Lizzie, don't our youngsters suddenly look grown-up in their smart party clothes! I'm glad it's a bit cooler for you, especially if you're cooking.

Gem, I hope the weather doesn't spoil any plans you have today. I'm sure fish and chips will be most welcome tonight. Have a good day. x

Oma, I suppose the puppy's teething, but I'm sure he's got some good comforting chew toys or frozen kongs to help. I think if they are getting him to sit at all he's doing well - stay will come later when he can control his energy better. They learn so quickly at that age, but have the attention span of a gnat.

Plant, gooseberry crumble - delicious. Did H taste it? Safe journey to her mum and dad. I'm sure a lot of plans this week will involve H.

No particular plans for us today. I could do with doing a couple of loads of washing but won't bother if it won't dry! Dog food delivery later this morning so I need to tidy out the chest freezer - it's in a right jumble! Sounds like an exciting day, doesn't it!

Nice to have time with family but I can understand not wanting to go to the grave side

Sounds a really nice night , hope you get a nice fine day today Im sure you will find something to do or go even if it drizzles ,

How lucky are you getting gooseberries, we can never find them anywhere ,
I love gooseberry crumble , reminds me of childhood 😁

Hope GS and partner have a lovely holiday , H will be spoilt this week from DD & SIL I bet .

Puppy was a whirlwind , so cute but racing around constant , we opened the patio doors and he was zooming in and out ,
I got Storms toys out for him running around with one in his mouth was the only time he wasn’t biting,
Lord knows what Storm will think when he smells another dog on his toys .

                      GC demolished the biscuit box
I wanted to give them Tea but DS had a meal in the slow cooker for when everyone was home so they ate lots of biscuits instead πŸ™„πŸ˜

                      Such loving children ,
GD charged up the drive at us hugging us tight and lots of kisses , GS almost crushed me he’s so tall and strong now but it was a lovely crush 😁

                      Daisy
DS has carrots in the freezer for him and a puppy kong he takes out he said it’s the one thing that keeps him occupied for more than a second 😁

Daisy, the dress arrived, in fact it was there yesterday but had fallen behind the others!!! I have tried it on, will have to get other opinions!!!!

We went for the bike, drizzle and more rain on the way home, day now though. The drive there went well, the bike is in very good condition and perfect, it was a (expensive) cycle shop and he had taken this in part exchange. GD2 went with us so she had a trial ride on it. Coming home the same road as the other week, closed!!! I looked on line yesterday, checked the sites, clear, how that happened I do not know, luckily DS1 sat next me with his Google and saw how long we would have to wait, we then took another road and that took it straight through with no traffic.

Oma, the puppy would be active. Storm will smell the dog then look at you asking "who has been playing with my toys"!

I have pasta sauce in the slow cooker so just have the pasta to cook and a salad to make.

Had a good day seeing family,we all had nice meals.

We do see family members quite regularly, but not the ones from Wigan.

With not very much planned for today, we found time to book a holiday! We're off to Sidmouth (Devon) next Saturday for a week. OH has booked a much-needed tip run for tomorrow morning.

Nanto, glad you enjoyed seeing the Wigan family.

Lizzie, the bike did look in very good condition, and it sounds as though GD2 is pleased with it. Road closures are a nightmare here in England as well! At least you had Mr Google and your DS1 to help.

Oma, it sounds as though you got a fantastic greeting from your GCs. Frozen carrots are good for teething puppies, and anything that keeps then safely occupied for more than two minutes is a bonus. If he's anything like our last Lab he would eat you out of house and home given half a chance!

Gem, were the fish and chips yummy? I hope the weather didn't spoil anything for you today.

Good morning, the party was a success, it was at the restaurant where the young boy works and it was a "surprise" party, he is 16 years old now, passed his exams and going to study in America for a year so it was a huge celebration. He had to work in the restaurant and at 8pm the owner said it was getting busy in the party room and would he help, his face when he walked in was a picture!! DS2 and DIL were there and lots of people I know so I enjoyed it, I was home at 10pm and got a message that the girls were on their way here so that worked out well. They are both fast asleep in "their" beds, just like when they were young!

They both have things planned for later so I will see how it all goes. GD1 gets her certificate tomorrow afternoon so I am going, her mum and dad are in Wales, that has been planned for months so they couldn't change that, they are going to see Sting tomorrow night then The Cult on Tuesday night. I will film it for them so that they can see it.

GD1 said the bike rides much easier, it will do as well. I went to the repair shop to ask what a new tyre etc cost for the other one as the plan is that GD2 uses that, the first date available is ....... August 1st!!! There is a young man at the gym has his own repair shop so I will ask him this week, the only problem is school holidays start this week and I expect he has children, I will see, there is no hurry.

Sun is shining, and it feels very fresh.

Lizzie, the party sounds like it was a big success.
You and the girls will have a lovely time together.

Just a tidy up day for me,but i want to clean the fridge and rearrange its contents.

Todays menu offerings is braising steak with mushrooms and onions, mash and veggies.
The meat was cooked last time we had braised steak and frozen.
