Good morning, Gem, I hope your mum is feeling better now, my (UK) friends mother is the same age as your mum, she has been in Hull Royal for 2 days, they feared the worse, she is home again now though.

I am enjoying having the girls, we went to the material market, in the rain, well drizzle most of the time really, it was getting busy when we left, I got the material to make the both wrap over skirts for the holiday in the sun (what is that?????). Then after visiting all the stalls GD2 found the material for her bag, goblin? She asked if I was going to make it yesterday afternoon, GD1 went to a friends so they could study together, GD2 had her homework to do so nan sat and made the bag plus a pencil case, she is over the moon!! A purse is following, that isn't much work.

Today, GD2's choice of a visit to TKMaxx! That is in Zoetermeer, a ride through the park, at least it is better weather.

Daisy, I read about the traffic on the roads in the UK. Oma, that would be a long drive with a young baby.

Nanto, the same weather here, it was cold on the bike in the rain, I like your "by heck", true Yorkshire!

Gem, I hope the sports therapist can help you.

Daisy, it will be a problem trying to get Cooper to travel in the car again, you can't just pick a dog of that size up and place it in the car!

I want to go to the supermarket at 8am for fresh croissants etc for breakfast, I am not really spoiling them! When they were younger and slept here, the first thing every morning was a fresh fruit salad waiting for them, DIL was on the phone to them and asked if I still made it for them, of course!

Oma, I hope you are still taking it very easy and being spoiled by B!xx

My mum passed away early this morning. She remained peaceful after we all left her.

                Thank you ladies.
Mum was ready to go and had a deep faith so for her I am glad. It's still sad as we all know.
I have spoken to all my DDs this morning to break the news. I have texted my cousin to ask him to break it to my auntie, and mum's best friend's DD for her to tell her mum. I have let C and P know too as they knew mum very well and had been good to her

Lizzie, I'm glad you are having a nice time with your GDs.

Oma, keep taking it easy. I can understand you wanting to get out though.

                Plant enjoy your break.

No plans here. We were to go out for a meal with a group of friends tonight but don't feel like it now

Thank you Plant. You are right.

Daisy, the baby was one of the great pleasures of mum's last year, which comforts DD3 and me.

We are going over to DD3 's later. The baby will make OH and me feel better.

We arrived about 4.30 yesterday, did a quick shop and then met GS off the train from London. All settled in now and rooms sorted. It is an upside down house with a lovely view of the sea. Dil and GS have gone off for a coastal walk to St. Ives, DS and I are driving down soon.

Lessie, your GD’s are very lucky girls having a clever needlewoman for a GM.

Daisy, you need to contact the Dogs Behaving Badly to sort out Baily’s problem with the car.

Gem, babies are great comforters and healers of sorrow. xx

Plant, glad you've all arrived safely. The house sounds lovely, and you can sit and watch a sea view for hours - at least I can! I saw the programme with the Great Dane (I think it was) who wouldn't get in the car, but I'll ask advice over Cooper. He knew he was being stubborn. He wanted to stay longer to play with Eva, so it wasn't the car as such. On the other hand if he'd been due to stay the night he would have been pining to go home to his family!

Lizzie, I'm glad you and your GDs are having such a lovely week-end. As Plant says, the girls are very lucky to have such a talented Grandma.

Oma, I can understand you wanting to go out, but wrap up warm and take care. I do hope Martin and Claire have arrived safely after their long detour and change of flight.

We've had visitors for coffee this morning, so I'm just off to make lunch. It's damp and chilly again.

Lizzie,, it sounds like you and the girls are having a lovely time together.

It's a little bit warmer today, we have sunshine.

We finally got a glimpse of the sun this afternoon, but the garden is far too wet to do any gardening. It was nice this evening to be able to take Eva out and it was still light.

I've made a start on jobs around the house before our various visitors arrive.

Good morning. No graphic for obvious reasons..

The weather yesterday was lovely, we had sunshine all day and it was quite warm. I heard it was going to be even better today.

Dinner is bacon, mash and beans.

Gem, hope you are doing OK.
