Lizzie, belated happy birthday to your GD.

Gem, how nice to have a lovely meal and good catch up.

Oma, hope the family members with covid aren't too poorly.
Less of the gymnastics from you please.

I did a lights wash this morning, and got them all dried outside.

Oma, I do hope the Covid sufferers are ok. Some people seem to get away with nothing more than a bit of a cold, don't they.

Plat, did you enjoy the Nutcracker?

Gem, glad you enjoyed lunch at your friends'. No cooking tonight?

I got some bedding dried outside today as well, Nanto - the sun was nice and a bit of a breeze, but it was very cold. I only took Eva round the block as she was still tired after yesterday's long run and I must have looked like the Michelin Man with so many layers! I made a turkey stir fry for dinner - quick and easy.

Good morning, I got all washing dried outside on Saturday, it is lovely on the balcony but bitter cold on the other side in the wind I had a bike ride to DS1 yesterday to take some alterations back I did for GD1, it was very cold on the bike. I see that there has been a slight frost.

The nice neighbour came and drilled a hole on the balcony for me, it is to hang my rotating mini drier on, it does hang there but 15 years ago I didn't have the olive trees, each time I want to use it I have to move the tree, they are on wheels by they way. Now it is much handier for me.

Oma, did BIL pick the covid up whilst in the hospital? I hope they are all soon improved. I read the other day that there aren't any rules at all here, if you feel ill, just stay home.

Gem, you would enjoy visiting friends.

I am going to do the coffee morning later on, I did almost forget, a lady asked me to swop with her which I did, she did it last week for me, I only thought about it as I went to bed.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for GD2.

          Chilly but bright.

          Not sure whats happening today.
We might be going to visit SIS in law. Hubby said he would help her hubby with something.
So dinner might just a pizza. Even if we don't go out,it might still be a pizza.

Good Monday morning everyone. We had quite a sharp frost overnight, but the sun's out and hopefully it will warm up.

OH has to go to Screwfix this morning, and he's going to pop into Specsavers to get batteries for my bionic little ears as well. Other than taking Eva out, no plans here. A free day! Please keep your fingers crossed that this is the week our battles over getting our new broad band are sorted out!

Lizzie, it must be nice having such a sheltered space on the balcony side of your flat. Do you sit out there and enjoy it? Nanto - pizza's a nice easy meal. I'd go for that anyday.

I hope everyone is ok. xx

              Good morning ladies.
A cold but sunny one. I have just put the bedding we changed yesterday on to wash, it should dry well outside. Lots of us getting bedding out to dry!

It sounds like pizza day for you Nan2

That's right Daisy, no cooking yesterday as we had a good cooked lunch followed by apple crumble and custard!

It's a good job you remembered about the coffee morning Lizzie.

I am going to an aquafit class today. I want to try to do 2 a week if I can as it helps a lot with stiffness. This pool is my old stomping ground as it is where I took my DDs swimming and did my first aquafit classes. It's about the same distance away from where I live now to the pool I use at the leisure centre. No car park so you have to find park on the street, and no nice steps to walk down into the water just the ladder steps, which I am not keen on. So, we shall see whether I make regular thing of it!

              Happy Monday everyone.

                Gem

                Daisy
We will hold a party when that blooming broadband is finally sorted 😁

                Nanto
A easy lunch is sometimes all you need , Im not keen on Pizza but B loves them so does the rest of the family ,
SIL bought a huge Pizza oven for the garden last summer took 8 of them to get it in the garden and had to take next doors fence down as couldn’t get it through there house but next door is end house so they let them through their garden

                Lizzie
Sounds like you have a nice sheltered spot with your balcony ,
People are the same here just stay in if you feel unwell no other restrictions as such.

I have Appointment with the Diabetic nurse this morning the one I should have had on 13th that I sat a hour for before they told me it was a mix up and she wasn’t there 🙄
Apart from that no plans just go with the flow xx

Nanto, I am not keen on pizza and I wouldn’t eat a whole one and then the rest goes dry. We have a pizza van parks in various spots in the village early evening and the pizzas look good.

Oma, I hope the diabetic appointment goes ahead today and that everything is fine.

Lizzie, will not be long now before you will be enjoying your sunny balcony.

Gemini, I do envy you your aqua classes, I would love to get back to mine, psoriasis permitting.

Wonderful afternoon watching the Nutcracker ballet. We were not sure where they came from, we wondered if they were Russian. Such a spectical, theatre full, lots of young girls. They are performing 4 different ballets whilst they are here. We are so lucky to have a theatre in the town, DD and GD1 are going to see The Sound of Music next week, Susan George is playing the part of Anna.

Daisy, I hope by some miracle you get your fast broadband this week. We ought to do a Face Time to celebrate.

That sounds lovely , it’s such a long time since I have been to the Ballet in fact it must be over 20 years , the last one I went to was with my DD long before GS1 was born

Well Appointment wasn’t as good as I hoped ,
She has upped the dosage of one of my tablets , I have to take them for 3 month then if there is no improvement I then have to go on Insuline jabs ,
She said my Pancreas isn’t producing insulin now and that’s the only choice ,
Nothing I’m doing wrong just progression of the disease after so many years .

Not a lot I can do about it , it is what it is .

Oma, let's hope the increase of dose helps.

Well I am home again as I could find nowhere to park to go to the aqua class. I drove around twice and every space on both sides of the road, apart from near the bus stops was taken. I had no choice but to miss the class. I needed petrol so I went to to Asda to get that.
We have contacted the company and there is apparently a car park which we can use. It says Nestle and had a barrier so I presumed it was only a Nestle employee car park (The factory and Joseph Rowntree theatre are close by) I will go and check this out so that if I decide to book at that pool again I will know what I am doing!
So, instead of exercising in the water I am going to be writing up the Minutes.

Gem, how frustrating to get so close to the pool and then not be able to park. I hope you try again and have better luck with the car park they mentioned. Look on the bright side - the Minutes will be done and dusted.

Oma, I'm so sorry the diabetic check up didn't go so well, but much better that they get you on to a dose that keeps you well. I know the prospect of jabs isn't anything anyone would choose, but there are options these days to help, like patches that send messages so you don't have to keep doing finger-prick tests.

Plant, what a lovely afternoon you had at the theatre. The Nutcracker is wonderful isn't it - both the music and the dancing. Did you feel transported to a different world? You are lucky to have a theatre in the town.

If our broadband gets sorted out this week, I'll be dancing on the roof with joy!

Oh Gem, what a disappointment for you not to be able to park, so had to miss the aqua class.

Daisy, the ballet was wonderful, the costumes were spectacular. I do hope you will be dancing by the end of the week.

Thanks ladies, at least I am booked into my regular Wednesday class!

The minutes are done I just need to check them over again tomorrow then send them out.

Plant, that sounds like a wonderful production. I hope I'll be dancing on air when the broadband nightmare is finally resolved.

Gem, good to get those minutes done and dusted.
