Plant, it will be lovely to have your kitchen all painted. I was wondering about the colour as well.

Nanto, Glad the rain finally stopped for you. I bet you will smile every time you open your under stairs cupboard for a while.

Oma, It sounds as though it was a day to stay indoors. I hope you dried out ok.

Plant, I think we're all a soft touch with our GCs and GGCs. It's lovely to be able to spoil them with a clear conscience!

My halo glowed brightly this morning - I did a large pile of ironing. After lunch and a relax with a book I took Eva into the Forest. Back to the campsite, where I let her off. The river had burst its banks in the heavy rain, and there were lots of ditches full of water. Eva took off, leaping over floods, ditches and any areas of water. At one point she took a running jump at a flooding stream, and I thought she'd never get over it, but she did it with ease! We walked the lat half mile or so back in the dark. The days are too short, but at least there were very few people about.

        Good morning to all.

Oh, beautiful smiling baby greeting us this morning. Thanks Nan2!
I'm sure your guests will enjoy dinner.

Go Eva, Daisy! Take care walking in the mud, it's bad enough with all the wet leaves let alone mud.

Oma, laughing until your cheeks ache is excellent medicine

Plant, I agree, 9am is QUITE early enough a start! You will be glad when you have the newly decorated kitchen though.

My busy complicated day yesterday went as planned, It was good to spend time with SIL2 and the CG between mum's visit and the meeting. The drive home was horrendous. Dark, heavy rain and so much standing water on the road I didn't feel safe. I was glad to make it home to a glass of wine waiting for me.
I am having a second back neck and shoulder massage today. I can't afford them regularly but I wanted a second one as the first did help.
School run this afternoon, then prize presentation tonight at the golf club. We will eat with the children so we will be ready to leave once DD picks them up.

It's not raining here, amazingly. I hope you have fine day wherever you are.

Good Friday morning everyone. The sun's shining here, and I'm off out to do a bit of shopping before picking Cooper up for a play date with Eva, so I'd better get a move on.

I'll catch up with everyone later. xx

Its wet here but a bit brighter skys ,
Not much to do , I washed my kitchen cupboard doors down and a general clean through ,

Need to look on line for a secret Santa gift , I have SILs Father to buy for ,

I do have a lovely photo of him with his elderly mother so I may get it made into a Jigsaw .
He is one of those people who are hard to buy for but he likes games and jigsaws so I think that’s the best option

Nanto, enjoy your meal with DS1 and GD2, I am sure they will enjoy your cooking

Gemini, that doesn’t sound like a very pleasant drive home, rain and darkness not good. Pleased you had a glass of wine waiting for ou so you could relax. Enjoy your massage.

Daisy, we stayed on a caravan in your area, it was a big open site with the toilet block in the middle. Enjoy your day with the dog play date.

I am planning a smallish shop at Waitrose this morning, apart from that nothing planned. I must choose a colour for the kitchen before Monday, the decorator has left me several colour charts. I fancy a creamy biscuit colour.

Nan2, that baby looks full of mischief, and lots of fun. Gorgeous. I'm sure DS1 and GD2 love coming to you for a meal.

Oma, that photo/jigsaw sounds a lovely idea and just right for your SIL's Dad.

Gem, I'm glad your complicated day went so smoothly. Well done on managing that horrible drive home. All you can do when it's like that is take your time, but I can imagine how welcome that glass of wine was when you arrived home.

Plant, that sounds a nice, warm colour for your kitchen. What colour are your kitchen units and flooring? There are quite a few camp sites around us. Hollands Wood and Black Knowl are the nearest with toilet blocks. I take Eva to Aldridge Hill, which is a very open Forest site with no toilet facilities, just taps here and there. They are all very popular in the summer!

I had a busy morning. Shopping for bits and pieces including a new collar for Eva - her current one is getting a bit shabby. Picked Cooper up and came home.

Oma, that sounds like a lovely present for Sil’s father.

Hallo everyone, I will catch up on all the posts, I have had a busy day, first I did the coffee for the art group, I really enjoy that, a nice group, then I came home and hoovered through etc, went for my treatment then when I got home I got in the car and went to DS1 for coffee and a chat, he has been busy all the week with an on-line course so hasn't had much spare time, that is finished now and he flies to the UK tomorrow evening. DIL was going to Delft to meet friends from work for a meal, they do that regular. It was dark and raining when I drove home, how I detest the roundabouts with all the cyclists when it is like that. GD2 got home from school whilst I was there, she has really settled into her new school. We are doing dice surprises for December 5th, we all have to buy 4 small presents then throw dice in turn, something like that!

Nanto, it is a years ago that I heard jam roly-poly mentioned!!!

Oma, the puzzle will be a nice present. I would have loved to see you sprinting in the rain back to the car..

Daisy, you must get so much pleasure from Eva jumping through the puddles etc.

Plant, have you decided on a colour for the kitchen yet?

Gem, you would be pleased to get home yesterday in the dark and the rain.

We we’re talking about Jam roly poly and spotted dick yesterday also rock cakes , all things we haven’t had for ages
B said he will make some this week 😁

                        Daisy
Eva will look all posh in her new collar , what colour did you get ?

                        Lizzie
I wouldn’t like to tackle roundabouts with cyclists either, you have to have your wits about you .
Isnt it nice when you know your GC have settled in school and are happy .

B went out this morning for a couple hours so I decided to clean out all my kitchen cupboards and the fridge .
I had already cleaned the doors earlier so thought I would do the insides too.

I really don’t know where all the crumbs come from , especially in the cutlery draw , even the crockery cupboard
I mean they are put in clean so where does it come from ?

Finley has just gone home , he is adorable and what a happy baby , he has proper belly laughs 😁
He is very loud shouting all the time ,
At 6 month he’s starting to teeth , he kept biting my finger and it actually hurt he was biting so hard .
Its his Christening next Sunday 😁

Oma, lovely to hear about Finlay.

The jam roly poly we had was a frozen Aunt Bessie one.It was very nice though.
Rosie brought up the subject of spotted dick, about changing the name.
Hubby said its always been called spotted dick and thats how it should remain.

Just washed a load of darks. Not putting them out if rain is coming.

This morning we want to go to the Range and B&M, then go to Asda which is just over the road.

                              Morning Nanto/ladies
A dark damp day here too Nanto ,
Ive done a dark wash and dried them in the tumble , it’s forecast heavy rain again today ,
At the moment it’s that fine mist that goes right through you .

Are you looking for anything in particular in the range or just browsing ?

We off out for Bread and milk this morning but nothing exciting ,
B wants to go to a tool shop for something , I might go with him I don’t know yet see how I feel .
My housework is done just the darks I washed to iron so the days my own really .

                              Clover how are you ?

                                Good morning ladies.
                                Another wet one here!

Oma, I once bought OH one of the photo jigsaw, they are a good idea. Hers was a photo from our Emmerdale village tour Seeing Finn must be lovely.

Did you make a decision on the paint colour Plant?

I bet it's very Christmassy in The Range now Nan2. I am due a visit. I would love some jam roly poly!

What colour is Eva's new collar Daisy? Charlie, next door's cat appears in different collars every few days, as he obviously discards them somewhere!

Lizzie, add cyclists to dark and wet driving and you have all my worst driving nightmares!

OH's golf prize was too big to bring home, so no nice silver jug this year. Saves us cleaning it though
We are eating out with 2 friends in the village tonight. A Chinese takeaway we often use has opened a restaurant. They planned it just before the pandemic and at last it is open.
I may make the Christmas cake today. I have all the ingredients. Otherwise, a go with the flow day.
