    Aww, bless him Oma!

Did you buy anything at the craft fair Plant?

Daisy, C is OK thank you for asking. They are at their son's tonight for fireworks and their tea ,and coming to us for cuppa tomorrow afternoon.

How annoying Lizzie. As you say nothing is safe.

We had a lovey afternoon at DD3's. More about that on another thread.
We had our flu jabs on the way home.
It's a wet miserable night, I'm glad we are in for the night!

The weather was dry while we were in Wakefield.Rain came just after we got home.
Plenty of foreworks going off tonight. Some have been really beautiful.

Lizzie, why can't people leave other peoples stuff alone.

Gem,hope all goes well for your friend on monday.

Lizzie, how annoying. Will you b able to get the lock fixed?

Oma, we could do with Storm coming to give Eva some lessons in chilling around fireworks, although she has done very well so far this year. Is the water turned on properly at the stop cock in the road?

We've had a fairly lazy day. I prepped some dog food and did a load of washing. Apart from getting meals and walking Eva that's about it. The weather has been atrocious all day, but the excellent news is that our hose pipe ban has been lifted. As a neighbour remarked "Great! I can now water the garden"!! :

Good morning, it is annoying, it is a very good, strong lock, guaranteed, only, I don't think that will fall under the guarantee! I will take it to DS2 when I go for lunch and see what he says. Nothing is safe!

Well it's raining here again this morning which I know won't please OH as he is impatiently waiting for enough dry weather so that he can paint the garden fence before winter starts.

How is everyone? Has anyone had their seasonal vaccines. Hope I find you all in the very best of health

As the weather has been on a downhill slide we have spent less time outside in the garden which I am beginning to miss. I enjoyed sitting on our bench, having done any tasks that needed doing, drinking coffee (sometimes gin at the appropriate time of day ) and just soaking up the warm sunshine. Simple pleasures but so very rewarding health wise
A few days ago I met up with my dear friends for coffee, first time since the pandemic. Our one friend didn't come which concerned me . Her husband died in August and I don't think she is coping at all. One of our other friend who also tragically lost her granddaughter, also in August did join us.

I have arranged for all of us to meet up again in two weeks time for a meal . I am hoping that everyone will be there.

              Have a restful Sunday ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                Good morning everybody.
What pretty birds and cute dogs to greet us this morning

                Enjoy your lunch Lizzie.

Mimi, we had our flu jabs yesterday, so we are hopefully fully jabbed up until next autumn! What a lovely idea to meet up regularly with friends like that. I think it is even more important in the winter months.

This morning we are going to Tesco, mainly to return some batteries which we bought in the wrong size for the baby bouncing chair. OH needs petrol too.
C and P are coming this afternoon.

                Happy Sunday everyone.
I hope Clover isn't feeling too bad.

enjoy your couple hours alone , it’s amazing what you can get done when on your own 😁

                  Daisy
We we’re wondering about the outside stopcock, we are wondering if when they came to read our water meter they have turned it for some reason and not said , we will have to have it checked .

Storm went home at 11.30 last night , he was unconcerned about the fireworks apart from one lot that didn’t bang they made a sort of whirling sound , he hid behind the sofa but came back out as soon as they stopped and went to sleep ,
DD said Talulah wouldn’t come out of her safe place .

Both B and myself went to bed just after 12 and got up at 3 for a hot drink neither could sleep ,
I went back at 5 but up again by 7 , B just dozed in the chair , long day ahead for us .

Nothing much to do all the towels in the wash floor needs washing but may leave that till after tea see how the mood takes me .

                  Have a good Sunday ladies

Good Sunday morning everyone, including those beautiful birds and the oh-so-cute daxis.

It's dreary and wet here at the moment. The clouds are black and low! It's rained nearly all night, too.

Mimi, how lovely to have a get together with your friends, especially after such a long time. Would your friend who lost her husband meet up with say just you to help ease her back into social groups? I remember a friend of mine finding meeting with a group of people was too hard - she was happier seeing just one or two people at least for the 'first' time. How is your friend who lost her GD coping? Well done to you for booking up another get together, and a meal is a good idea - it helps to ease over any worries those two friends might have about a get together. I miss sitting in the garden as well, and I need to tidy the summerhouse so we can use that on sunny days.

Nanto, I hope you got all your jobs done while OH was out.

Lizzie, do you cycle to your DS2 or take the car? Have a lovely day.

Gem, I'm intrigued by the baby bouncing chair needing batteries. They must be a lot more sophisticated now - the ones we had just needed a gentle rocking with your foot.

I must get a move on. My friend M is coming for coffee and I need to get ready. Have a good day, ladies. x

Daisy, I go by car to DS2, they live at the other side of Leiden on the way to Amsterdam. I think it is 30kms.

The weather is the same here, wet and miserable.

Daisy, I didn't know that baby rockers needed batteries! I thought the idea was for them to move themselves!

Well, he has been using the chair without batteries so far
It's a Mamas and Papas one we keep here. I bought it when GD was a baby, so 13 years ago and all the GC have used it at our house.
With batteries you can have gentle music and some rocking. It's just a extra dimension to amuse them.

Lizzie, good job you bought a good lock for your bike. Enjoy your time with the family.

Oma, what a bad nights sleep you and B had, definitely a day to relax and have a rest. Hope you get the water pressure sorted. Oma, not very successful trip to the craft fair, GGD wanted to run around which was difficult in a crowded village hall so I bought GD a cup of tea and some cake to share withGGD and had a quick look around. I like to support my friend. GGD was in a lively mood yesterday, we went to J Lewis first and had lunch, she thinks JL is her playground. Consequence is that I am very tired today.

Gemini, what a change around for you, I am sure you had a lovely time with the baby.

Daisy, what fun having an invasion of pigs in your cul-de-sac. I am sure Eva was very disapproving.

Mimi, I think Daisy is right about your friend not wanting to come to your meet-up. Perhaps you could invite her for just the two of you to meet.

Nanto, love the birds, enjoy your two hours to get on with things you need to do or just put your feet up
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
