Good morning everyone, it is still dry here but getting very dull. I can get on the bike again, so, I went to the market in Delft early for my cheese, that is very expensive at the moment here, I was looking in the Lidl and was shocked by the cheese prices. My market man has had to put his prices up, naturally, but he is still not as expensive as the local shops. I have just been to the Lidl for my dairy produce etc then the rest I hope to do walking as I quite enjoy that. I seem to rush all over and there is no need for that!

Oma, you do look after your MIL, I do hope she appreciates it all.

Gem, enjoy the visit to your mum.

I am having "light" meals today after the meal last night! It is very difficult to choose when there is so much to choose from, I won't mention the "sweets"!!! I just had strawberries and pineapple, without the chocolate from the fountain!

What I am doing is sitting in my car waiting for the rain to at least ease off a bit!! It's torrential. I am parked down the road as can't park on our drive or on the road in front due to ( our) workmen and vans. I presume they are sheltering in our garage, as I am in my car! It's due to rain for 2 more hours so I am just waiting for a slight improvement before I make my move. It wasn't raining when I came out, hence a non waterproof jacket with no hood

Plant I send my condolences for the loss of your SIL's mother. As you say, her pain is gone now, poor lady.

Oh Plant sorry to hear about GDs MILxx

My MIL is 88 still very fit for her age despite her constant grumbles ,
She still does her own housework apart from heavy stuff , her own shopping and washing ironing etc ,

Drs have said there is nothing wrong with her heart or any other organs , her BP ,Cholesterol all perfect and she should live to 100 , but every time we go she has something wrong then within minutes it’s a miracle cure and she’s fine ,

she comes from a long line that lived too over 100 so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did .
Yes with age she isn’t as strong on her feet as she was and is slower and like everyone has aches and pains but a tough old bird all the same 😁

          Gem
Its rained hard here too, we had to wait in the doorway of Aldi till there was a break to dash to the car 😁
Hope it eases enough for your workmen to get on with the job x

Workmen packed up for the day before 12. I don't blame them its been torrential. I will wear a more suitable coat to go out this afternoon, and at least I can park on the drive when I get back.

                Good afternoon.
This morning I took OH to have the root of his broken upper front tooth removed. He bit on a chocolate bar that had been in the freezer and the tooth broke off.During his punch up with the tooth fairy he also lost one tooth at the bottom and ended up having 2 more taken out due to receding gums. They have now been replaced but the top one had to wait as we were going away.
Lizzie, we live in an area of mainly bungalows, so residents are mostly retired and it’s very quiet! I can’t imagine why anyone would want to film anything to do with drugs here! The most exciting thing we see are learner drivers practising emergency stops!
Plant, I do grow rhubarb. You can’t beat a rhubarb crumble. 😋
The sun is out now after all the rain. I must check my water butt. Toodle pip.

I have done somethingI have never done before, I JUST HAD A HAM SANDWICH FOR MY DINNER. I have had a busy day sorting, washing and ironing things for my holiday. I am trying to run down the contents of the fridge also.

Grauntie, that sounds a painful dental problem.

Just a thought for those reading this, perhaps you could answer this question - What is a social influencer? I have encountered this apparent career twice lately and they were both quite young girls/ladies.

                    Wow, how controversial Plant

Nothing wrong with a sandwich for dinner once in a while, especially when you are busy

A social influencer is someone who has a lot of followers on social media platforms. They endorse clothes, beauty products and other things. Their followers are presumably influenced to buy some of them!!

OH's niece (model and ex Miss England) is one of them.

That is the only type of social influencer I know about. Others may know more!

Patio men are here, so hopefully they will get few dry hours in.

Mum, was mixed Oma. Happy and sad moments. I know she wants to live with me which is heart-breaking really. She also knows it wouldn't be fair to us.
