Oh Lizzie, I'm so sorry that things are not so good for you at the moment xxx

Oma, your MIL is the queen of emotional blackmail.

I hope you have a lovely early birthday lunch Plant.

How despicable to just dump something like that on your drive Glamma! It's great that Liverpool will be hosting the eurovision contest

We had our jabs at 10.15, came back and hung out the washing , and have just relaxed the rest of the day. I must go and empty the dishwasher now and bring in the washing to show willing as OH is doing some ironing

Visitors have gone now. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.
Got some lovely compliments for the blackberry and apple crumble.
I had enough filling left to make a small pie for the freezer.

Glamma, charming about someone leaving the stuff on your drive.

Lizzie, sorry to hear you don't think the operation has worked.

Plant, hope you enjoy your early birthday meal.

Oma, hope the dramam queen has calmed down.

Gem, hope you don't feel ill after your jabs.

Had surprise visit from VS last night. His parents were out for a meal at the Indian restaurant in the village with friends and he'd been at the football in Oxford. He had to get the bus because of the train strikes. His team won so it was worth the journey.
This morning he had a football match at the ground at the bottom of the hill, so I walked down to support him. He was in goal as he's still not completely recovered from his knee problem. He's off to Spain with the school next weekend.

Oma, one day your MIL will cry wolf and nobody will take any notice! Still, I'm glad it's sorted out for now.

Lizzie, you must be so fed up if your op hasn't been as successful as you'd hoped. Is there still time for improvement, or would you be better going back to the specialist now, rather than waiting (and suffering) till December? Sending you a big, gentle hug. xx

Glamm, fly tippers are a menace! What a cheek dumping it in front of your house like that. I was pleased to hear Liverpool will host the Ukraine Eurovision contest. It will bring a lot of business into the city. Choosing baby clothes and things is great fun.

Plant, I hope you had a lovely early birthday lunch at your DS and DIL's today. Poor little GGD2. I hope she gets better soon. Your GD1 and her OH must be very worried about his Mum. I'm sure in different circumstances they would have been very excited about the holiday.

Gem, I hope neither of you get any effects from the jabs.

WeeGranny, love the picture. Is this a local art group you've joined? Sorry if you've said and I've missed it. I bet GS loves having his Gran so close, especially if she comes and cheers him on when he's got a match. I'm glad his knee problem is getting better.

We've had a nice but busy day. Tomorrow is an early start - OH has an eye appointment first thing.

Good morning, Daisy, the op is supposed to work from the first day, I could get in touch with the hospital, I may do later, DS1 advised (told) me to follow the rules for the 4 weeks so I will do that, I just had a lousy Sunday yesterday, which often happens!

I have more to do today, dietician this morning, I do want to keep seeing her as it helps me keep the weight off. Then on my way home go the medical physio to pick some repairs up that they asked me to do for them, then, if all goes to plan, this afternoon the glass fibre should be sorted out.

Glamma, it is disgusting for someone to just "dump" something on your driveway. Rotterdam had the song festival, maybe 2 years ago, that is what the roof walk was built for as part of the attraction.

                      Good morning everyone.

Lizzie, I'm glad you are feeling brighter. I think you need some regular Sunday activity or group to help that day pass xx

Daisy, I hope OH doesn't have too long a wait at the hospital.

Oma, I hope they can get to the cause of your sore tongue. It must be horrible for you.

DD3 was planning come over today. The baby had a bit of a weepy eye yesterday so they are going to see what the Dr says today. Their Dr is local to them so it may not work coming here if he has an appointment in the middle of the day. I have a free day and am happy to go over there, so I'm waiting to hear once they have spoken to the surgery.

Have a good day ladies, and a good week.

Chilly, but nice and bright. Had quite a bit of rain during the night.

I am feeling a lot better today, thanks, Gem, I have never been keen on Sunday! If I can I get out for a bike ride or a walk but I didn't even feel up to that yesterday.

I have just had a walk to the medical training centre to pick a few things up and it was much colder than I expected!

I met my neighbour in the lift, he is still positive and shouldn't be out and about really.

Oma, I hope they get your tongue sorted out, it is bad enough if you happen to burn your tongue!

Gem, I hope that you get to see the baby today.

Who mentioned Lindt chocolate?? I think you did Gem, I love their dark chocolate, I treated myself to 100% the other day, it is delicious.

Lizzie, when I had small children and no car, and my OH often working away, I found Sunday difficult. It seems like a day when everyone else is doing something with partners. In fact many are not, but it does seem a hard day to fill alone.
I mentioned Lindt chocolate Lizzie yes. It is my favourite, and I bought some for GD's birthday last week as it's hers too

No birthday lunch yesterday, DS has Covid, disappointed but I hope he isn’t too poorly and that the rest of the household don’t get it. Baby H is here today, it seemed unfair for the childminder to have her when she has been poorly. Just a day of housework for me, not too much, I spread it out during the week. We had rain in the night but the sun is out now.

Daisy I hope you are not kept waiting too long at the hospital today.

Oma, I hope the hospital doctor can do something about your sore tongue. How will you serve the shredded duck. I like duck very much, Waitrose do a lovely duck wrap.

Gemini, I hope you get to see the little one today, sorry to hear he has a sore eye.

Lizzie, I think your son is saying be patient and follow the advice from the hospital. Enjoy the sunshine.

Glamm what a nasty thing to do to dump rubbish by your bins, some folk are so nasty.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

                                I like duck as well.
Menu today is cod in breadcrumbs, baby potatoes, goth done in the air fryer.
Peas and sweetcorn and parsley sauce.

                                Lizzie,pleased you are feeling better.
I used to hate sundays. Now i don't like saturdays if we don't go anywhere.
