Good morning ladies, Its such a nice day today here today I have the washing out drying in a sunny breeze so will be able to iron it this afternoon & get it put away, nothing else really to do housework wise as I did all the floors & polishing yesterday whilst waiting for the Sunday dinner to cook.

Nothing has appeared outside at all so hopefully that fly tipping was a one off incident ?

Even though the sun is shining this morning last night going to bed it did seem colder than usual and I have pulled out my fleece quilt cover to change over too I have 3 of them bought last year and just so warm & cosy. The thing is it takes me so long to get the cover on with it being kingsize and me having short arms it does not bode well for easy changing.I may just wait until DD comes over tomorrow and she can help me with it,she is coming over to help me change my bedroom curtains she is such a good girl when it comes to helping me.

Oma good luck with the specialist I do hope he/she finds the problem and it is easily treated x

Talk soon everyone take care x

      Back from the Hospital,
Lovely Dr checked my mouth and saliva glands ,
He thinks it’s my lack of Iron and maybe B12 but wants to wait till I finish my course of iron first to see if it improves ,
Just a salt water rinse twice a day ,
Cant use mouth wash he said it would make it worse and dry my mouth out .

Packed when I went in i thought I would be in ages but there was 10 clinics on so there wasn’t as many for my clinic as I thought .

      Glamm
I would wait till DD gives you a hand with the cover it will be so much quicker and easier.
I think it was cold last night too.

Beautiful day here after heavy rain during the night. One disadvantage of Velux windows is that the rain sounds really heavy!

Did some housework this morning and had my little readers this afternoon. Some new ones who were lovely. There are some strange first names around though! Got to check how I pronounce some of them so I don't offend.

Daisy, the painting was from a one-of class on Saturday. I'm keeping fingers crossed that the class I enrolled on will actually take place this week. It's been cancelled for the past three weeks!

Hope all the poorly people will soon feel better.....keep taking the pills!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies xx

I still haven't got the new wi-fi, what a carry on!!!! A long story cut short, someone was coming at 1pm, at 2-30pm he hadn't arrived so I phoned, the young man wasn't really helpful, he said to wait another hour, which I did, I phoned again, a helpful young lady this time, and, they hadn't planned the date and time with the mechanic!!! She said the young man I was talking to should have looked in the system and he would have seen that. Now, within 3 days I should receive a new appointment.

Hello everyone, and here we are at the beginning of a new working week!

Nanto, what a nice, cheerful graphic to start the week.

Lizzie, how frustrating about the new wi-fi, but thank goodness you are feeling more yourself today. I think a lot of people find week-ends difficult.

WeeGranny, children's names can be a nightmare, can't they. It's thoughtful of you to check on pronunciation first though. I do hope your art class finally gets started, but how lovely to have a one-off day like that.

Oma, I hope the doctor is right about your tongue. It must be very uncomfortable. Your heart must have sunk when you saw such a packed waiting area. I'm glad you didn't have to hang around for hours.

Glamm, we've noticed nights getting colder, and have switched to our nice cosy winter duvet, but it is a struggle to change the cover, even with two of us pushing and shoving it in. Your DD is very helpful, isn't she. x

Gem, did DD3 see the doctor about baby E's eye? I hope it was nothing to worry about, but you can't be too careful with eyes. I bet he's a real cuddle-cutie now. You must look forward to seeing him so much.

OH had an early appointment at the hospital this morning, so it was a bit of a rush. I took Eva for a quick walk because our neighbours were away and you never know how long you will be at the hospital for. Today was quite quick and we were back home for 11.30. I'd just settled OH down with paracetamol, eye drops, coffee and a piece of cake when a friend of his called round with a birthday card and present for him. So I made more coffee and I think it took OH's mind of his painful eye to have a chat and a laugh. His youngest brother rang as well, and just after lunch another neighbour called round with a card. So OH is now having a snooze in front of the telly.

I've still got a load of washing up to do from yesterday, but I'll do it later.

Daisy, wish you DH a very happy birthday from me, even if he has a sore eye. WeeGranny, it is the same with names here especially amongst the immigrants, so many different names. When I hear GC talking about school friends etc I don't think I would remember the names like I did a few years ago.

I did the sewing and took it back to the medical centre, I was talking to my physio, he fell downstairs a few weeks ago and tore the tendon on his knee,he said it was very painful , they managed to stitch it together, he still has a brace on so can't bend his leg, he is hoping it will be removed in 3 weeks then they will see how the tendon is healing.

Just a quick post before bed!

It sounds as though your OH managed to enjoy his birthday despite the eye treatment Daisy!

Lizzie, tendons etc can take longer than bones to heal.

I have spent the day with DD3. Baby E didn't need to see the Dr. DD spoke to Dr on the phone and sent a photo. Eye drops were prescribed which we picked up from the pharmacist. He didn't react as badly as we feared to the drops. We bathed the baby before his tea, he enjoys it a bit more than last time I was involved!
I came home, getting petrol on the way, cooked and ate then watched some TV, played a card game then it was bedtime!

                Night all 🌛

Oma,hope the course of iron helps sort your tongue.

Gem, glad E was ok with the eye drops.

Daisy, glad OH had a good birthday.

I think once babies are in the water they enjoy it but sometimes it’s the shock of taking all their clothes off isn’t it 😁

                      Good morning to all.

Chilly start to the day here, but the sun is out now. I will get some washing out too Nan2.

Have a nice shopping trip with hat on Oma

OH has just set off for the golf course. Neither of us seem to have had any effects from the vaccine. My neck was aching yesterday evening but that could have been down to holding the baby a lot. Painkillers sorted it out anyway.

GS1 from school later, and trip to the vet for Henry. He has had a weepy eye on and off for a while, and may need drops. Also we will get the vet to clip his claws. Now he is an old man (19) he doesn't do enough to wear them down and we have to keep rescuing him from soft furnishings when his claws get stuck It's a very quick and simple job for the vet.
I will colour my hair this morning.

I hope everyone is feeling well today.

Good morning, Oma, that is what I said to the physio!

A lovely morning, I thought I would have a drive so I took some things to the second hand place then called in at DS1 for a coffee, he said " you are not on your bike I hope"!! I told him, no, in the car.

I hope you won't need your hat Oma, I put the wrong jacket on early yesterday morning and was really cold.

I met one of the ladies from the gym this morning, she said they are missing me!! I received a lovely card the other day, signed by the early birds!

I am going to get the trousers cut out then have a walk to the library, DS1 says I should use Netflix more that I do, he is probably right as well.

Good morning everyone. It's a lovely sunny day here and I think Eva and I need a long walk in the forest to enjoy it.

OH says thank you all very much for the birthday wishes. As usual, he's still tired after yesterday and is having a long lie-in! His eye doesn't look to bad, which is good.

Lizzie, how kind of your friends from the gym to send you a card. I hope you chose the right jacket for today.

Gem, so glad you and S are ok after your jabs. What a lovely day to be out on the golf course. Henry is doing very well for such a grand old man. Does he mind going to the vets? Whenever I see cats in the vets waiting room they seem very cross and indignant in their carriers. Perhaps they're just hissing at Eva (or me!). I'm sure you still see big changes in baby E every time to see him. It's lovely to watch a baby enjoy bath-time!

Oma, enjoy your retail therapy day. Are you just browsing or have you got a shopping list?

Nanto, I ought to get some towels in the wash as well, we might not get many more days like this!

Morning all, very late start for me and I have quite a lot to do this morning. It is Ex Guiders meeting this afternoon, they are having a b&b stall for funds, I am hoping to make some small cakes. My DS posted that Dil now has Covid so they are isolating in their bedroom and the family are waiting on them. GS3 is moving to his flat in London this weekend so is a bit upset now that there is Covid in the house. GGD is a lot better, she was here yesterday and wasn’t very interested in her toys.

Daisy, I hope your OH’s eye is not too painful today. I hope he had a good birthday in spite of the painful eye.

Gemini, a lovely day with the little one, hope his eye is responding to the treatment. I hope the vet can help with Henry.

                            Nanto, love the graphic

WG, you must encounter some very unusual names of your little readers.

Oma, hope that treatment helps to heal your tongue. Enjoy your shopping trip

Glamm. I am finding the nights can be colder now and I am switching on my blanket after I have been up to the loo in the night. I can’t manage my winter duvet now, changing the cover is exhausting, I still have a 5ft5in bed, should really change it for a smaller one but can’t face it, too much choice. I am seriously thinking to get some paid help now.

I have followed Nan2's lead in making the most of the nice day and getting some washing out! I did towels a couple of days ago but there were enough clothes today for a dark wash.

Lizzie, how nice to get that card Your son is right, Netflix has a lot to offer, especially in the colder months when we can't get outside as much.

Plant, I'm sorry that Covid has hit your family.
My auntie has a cleaner coming in every two weeks and she changes the bedding for her as she has a double bed. I think that is a good idea. We should all have whatever help we need and get on with life

Daisy, unlike dogs, cats don't usually go for walks with owners or travel in cars. They are free to do their own thing on the whole. So the very fact that you put them into a carrier, then a car is stressful for them. Add to that vet's waiting rooms which often contain dogs, and the scent of other animals - cats hate the vets!! None of our have ever minded the part with the vet and have always been good for whatever treatment they have had. Our vet practice is 5 minutes drive away, so not too long a journey for him.
